Yes, we're pulling for Leslie.
Here's an installment from my TR that Liesa mentioned, where we explored a trail that went pretty close to the Tree of Life. Link
I knew you'd pull through for Tink. By the way, I've been lax on finishing up your $5 one. Eventually, my friend, I'll get there!!!![]()
Glennbo has some great pictures of the trails. Make sure you take the time to find DeVine!!!
Please tell Leslie that there are a LOT of people praying for her all over the world!!![]()

We did find DeVine one other trip. Do you know any particular places that she likes to hang out?
Update:
I talked to my friend Leslie. She said chemo is starting to get to her, and her hair is starting to come out. She cut her hair real short, and she bought a wig for when her hair falls all the way out. I know this has to be one of the hardest parts for her. She has long, beautiful hair.
I guess you could say I am a little nervous about seeing her at the Benefit. I don't want to make a big deal about it and start crying in front of her. I need to show her I'm strong so she can be strong too.
The few times I have seen her was on the path from Africa to Asia. There is a little cutoff there where you can see some characters too. We've seem Baloo, King Louie, and Mowgli there.
I think giving her a big hug and just showing your support by being there will let her know you care. Just because you cry doesn't mean you aren't strong. I had to learn that it is OK to cry.
Her hair will grow back. It must be much harder on a girl losing her hair though. I'm sure you know this but that chemo is poison, but necessary to kill all the cancer cells. The problem is it kills the good cells too.
I hope the best for your friend. I'm real sorry she has to go through that, I have many people in my family who has had cancer and its such a horrible thing.
1 month!![]()
Helllloooooo dear, I'm back! I told you I would be! I'm not finishing my TR though. Anyway, you need to change that ticker to add that we'll be there in July with you guys!!!
Hope you're having fun at your sister's senior night![]()
You commented! I think this is like the first comment from you in a bazillion years!

OMG, tink, where have I been? You leave in less than a month!
Your tennis shoes look like my pink ones that I have to say, are very comfy for walking on Disney trips.
I have been keeping Leslie in my prayers--she stays on my list in my Bible. Chemo is very difficult--my dad sometimes got upset about being so sick and not feeling like it was doing him any good. He lived for 11 years with leukemia and would have lived longer, but when Mama died unexpectantly, he gave up and we lost him 6 months to the day later. Just keep reminding her you are there for her and that people are praying for her. She can't give up! I truly believe there is a reason for everything and there is definitely a reason for her pain now--she may have a hard time seeing it, but you have to keep up faith that there is a reason. We thought when I had a miscarriage in 2000, it was the worst thing in the world. If I had had that baby, I never would have had my son, because I was pregnant with him a month later. Yeah, there was a lot of pain involved, but given the choice now and knowing what I know, I would never trade Stinky for anyone else in the world.
BTW, you are a great friend to her and I am so very impressed with how strong and faithful you are to her.
Amanda's words are so true!! It's very hard for US to the reasons behind a lot of what God allows to happen in this very broken world this side of Heaven. Just pray, and know that nothing is beyond God's sight or control.
Love your new shoes... I hope that they are well broken in before your trip; blisters would stink!!
Because I'm backkkkkI have missed the DIS and am just going to get involved in less TRs so I dont get overwhelmed. If you can, can you post the link to the most recent MeMom and Jill TR? I've clicked on all the links on their signatures and none of them work for some reason. Thanks!! Talk to you later dear!!
PS love the new ticker!
Update:
TGIF!Tonight is Sis's Senior Night at the boys basketball game (she's a cheerleader). I know I'll cry like a baby like I did at the football Senior Night.

Yesterday was Dad's b-day, so they drove up and we met them half way and ate at Olive Garden. It was a fun night and it was great to see them a day early!
I can't believe I haven't posted this yet, but here's my new shoes I got for the trip:

I'm going to start wearing them around to get them broken in. Also, I'm going to get out the suitcases this weekend and start packing!
Have a great weekend everyone!

On a happier note, 1 month from today-we'll be at AK and getting ready to head to Yak & Yeti for lunch soon.
While we're at AK, I'm really excited to explore the trails and the Oasis a little bit more. Anybody have any good pictures or tips they would like to give about either one of them?
