Goin' to see the Mouse for Spring Break~just me and Fiance at POP-Update 3/20

Not a big shopper, as you know, but do have my eyes on a few trinkets. Sounds like you know what everyone will like and have it all figured out. i think if you go with a plan, it will help keep your time and expenses down. ;)

I hope you also have a wonderful Valentines Day with your fiance! :lovestruc

Great gift ideas! It's always hard for me to pick something out for my bro. He's not the super disney fan, so a shirt and things like that doesn't really work for him. He's always hard to shop for. As long as I get him something sweet- he's happy! hehe:goodvibes

We are not really big shoppers either. We spend most of our money on food and drinks when we are in Disney! We bought for our families on our first trip but after that we stopped. I hate trying to find things to buy that they may not even want. If I see something, I know someone will like, then I definitely get it! We hardly even buy things for ourselves!

Happy Valentine's Day :lovestruc

1 month from today we'll be arriving at WDW! :cheer2:

It's hard for me not to buy as much as I want. There's so many cute things I'd love to have there. So, I'm just going to shop with the list I have in mind and nothing more. And if I steer away...I'll have Fiance drag me out! :rotfl:

Yeah I know what you mean. Why waste your money on something that they won't even use/like/wear?! I definately limit myself to a few things though- shopping at WDW can get expensive! :headache:

Sounds like a plan! I've never really done anything with photopass other than the occasional and normal poses. This year I'm printing out a list of all of the options and we'll try as many as possible. I know I wanna do one holding simba and one with tinkerbell in my hand.

Happy Valentine's Day!

That's a great shopping list, I always try to write out a few ideas for family and friends prior to us leaving. I always shop wayyy to much when i'm down there..

Haha, I shop a lot too. I just try to hold out and save my money for DTD, which is where we get most of our souvenirs.

Morning, TG!!! Hope you had a romantic and wonderful Valentine's Day! Is this your last one single?? I can't remember your wedding date.

I did. We went to a nice restaurant last night before coming back up here.

Our wedding isn't until 2012, which gives us enough time to plan slowly while I finish my Master's. I'll be done with that May of that year.

Update:

I also forgot something else I have to get...On the day that we arrive, we have to go get some celebration buttons: 2 'Just Engaged' buttons and then I want to grab the '1st Trip' buttons for our trip in July, since it's the little guy's first time! Where exactly do I get those at the MK?

Here's something exciting to think about:
1 month from today, we'll be at DHS! At 11:30, we'll be heading over to the Brown Derby for lunch!

Hi :wave2: Can you believe it's so close? I think you can get all the buttons when you check into the resort. We got our "1st visit" button for our DD when we checked in to the BC last summer. That will be fun to wear the "Just engaged" buttons. Cute! :)

In December, there was a cart set up right in front of Guest Relations at Magic Kingdom that had a bunch of different buttons.

If you want to get them at MK, I'd say at Town Hall. But, with the promotion going on, I'd say you could probably find them just about everywhere!

Like they said- you can pick it up at the cart- or if you want to you can let your resort know what you are celebrating and they will give them to you when you check in. That's what we did.. so we had them right when we arrived.. although we didn't use them until the next morning because it was 1200am when we arrived and it was time for bed. hehe

Tuesday, March 16:

Then, we'll walk over to the TTC and hop on the Epcot monorail. We'll hang out there until it's time for our 2:05 p.m. ADR at Le Cellier. I've been there before, but Fiance has not. I knew this was one place he'd love. Looking at the menu, there's a few things that look good to me: Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon, which is served with wild mushroom risotto and white truffle-herb butter sauce.

Hi! I was a little behind but I'm all caught up now...let me just say that you will not be disappointed if you have this Filet Mignon. We finally ate at Le Cellier in December and that's just what I had - WOW! One of the best dishes I have ever eaten, not just at WDW, anywhere. DH had the New York Strip Steak and he was very pleased - his meat has to be cooked just right...this was perfect! For dessert we had the Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake and my cousin had the Chocolate "Moose" - both were yummy! :thumbsup2 Oh, also the kids meals came with the Cheddar Cheese soup but none of the kids wanted it so we ate them - pretty good too. I don't know if you and/or DF are beer drinkers, but DH discovered his new favorite beer here: it's called La Fin du Monde. I'm not much into beer but I tasted it and it really was very good. DH has not stopped raving about it to anyone who will hear it, and my cousin found it here at home at Whole Foods...it was a little expensive though: $10 for a four-pack...he had it for new year's like fine champagne!

Well, I'm sorry to hear about your friend Leslie - thanks for sharing that with us here as you know it will multiply the prayers being sent her way...please keep us updated.

I can get the buttons when we check-in? I'll have to ask! Think they'll let me get the buttons for the July trip?

I knew you'd answer MeMom. :) And of course, you went above and beyond with a picture too!

Town Hall is what I was guessing too. I just wanted to be sure. :)

Thanks girl. I will definately ask!

Well, that's alright! I'm glad you got caught up. :)

I had the filet mignon last time we ate there and I loved it too! Funny thing about the cheddar cheese soup-we have a few WDW cookbooks and that's in one of them, so we made it for Christmas one year. I really want to try it at Le Cellier to see how it's really supposed to taste.

We do like beer, so maybe we will have to try it.

Thanks for the kind words about Leslie. I'll give you guys an update as soon as I hear from her again.

Update:

I talked to my friend Leslie. She said chemo is starting to get to her, and her hair is starting to come out. She cut her hair real short, and she bought a wig for when her hair falls all the way out. I know this has to be one of the hardest parts for her. She has long, beautiful hair.

I guess you could say I am a little nervous about seeing her at the Benefit. I don't want to make a big deal about it and start crying in front of her. I need to show her I'm strong so she can be strong too.

On a happier note, 1 month from today-we'll be at AK and getting ready to head to Yak & Yeti for lunch soon.

While we're at AK, I'm really excited to explore the trails and the Oasis a little bit more. Anybody have any good pictures or tips they would like to give about either one of them?

Glennbo has some great pictures of the trails. Make sure you take the time to find DeVine!!!

Please tell Leslie that there are a LOT of people praying for her all over the world!! :thumbsup2
