Goin' to see the Mouse for Spring Break~just me and Fiance at POP-Update 3/20

#5 of my Top 10 MK favorites

Of course Mr. Tom Morrow is being paged on the TTA a.ka. "The People Mover"! You guys are good guessers!

Before we continue, I just wanted to apologize for being not on top of the game as I usually am. I started my first semester of my Master's degree Tuesday! Here's my schedule:

Monday: Individual Counseling Techniques 4-6:52 p.m.
Tuesday: Theories of Counseling and Psychotherapy 4-6:52 p.m.
Wednesday: Intro to Professional Counseling 7-9:52 p.m.

Okay..on with the game! Here's what the WDW website has to say about the TTA:

"Tomorrowland Transit Authority takes Guests of all ages for an elevated tour of Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom theme park.

Relax and enjoy a leisurely 10-minute journey above the Tomorrowland area aboard this pollution-free mass transit system. Each car seats 4 Guests with 2 riding forward and 2 riding backward.

The tour introduces you to Tomorrowland attractions and includes a view of early architectural models of Epcot theme park and Space Mountain, as well as a peek inside the actual Space Mountain attraction.

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority station is located in the center of Rockettower Plaza beneath the Astro Orbiter attraction."

Okay, those of you who know me know that my family LOVES the TTA, but we still call it "the People Mover"!! And those of you who have read my TR's know that me and Sis always take a million pics on this ride! :rotfl: Here's probably the one that makes me laugh the most:

Clue #6:

This attraction is known for it's "flying cookies" among the stars. Which side do you like to ride?

Alpha Track, Please! This one is Space Mountain! Can't wait to see the refurb!

What a funny clue, just because it is true. Space Mountain.

I think it's funny that your classes all end at :52. Why can't it just be 7:00 instead of 6:52? I guess that would be too easy for a Master's program. LOL

I would be a bad student, because I'd be thinking it needed to end at 6:50 instead of 6:52! And I'd be gathering my stuff and on the edge of my seat for those last two minutes.

Which class are you enjoying the most, tinkgurl?

I'm going to say Space Mountain, but it's a total guess. It was closed for refurbishment when we were there last year.

That would be Space Mountain. I don't even know if I've ridden both sides! :confused3

Good luck with school!

I think it's weird too!

Haha, everyone always is ready at the :50 mark! :rotfl:

Well..I've only had one class so far. My first day was Tuesday, so tonight is my first Monday class. Then my Wednesday class got cancelled last week because of the ice storm. So I'll tell you after Wednesday!

That's a funny picture of you & your sis! LOL What was going on?:lmao:

LOL- it is a funny pic! I don't even remember what we were doing. Probably just random funny faces.

Good luck with school!

Thanks girl. I'm ready for summer!

space mountain! this one holds a special place in my heart because it was my first roller coaster. :goodvibes i like the left side!

#6 of my Top 10 MK Favorites

Oooh you guys are good! Those "flying cookies" flying through space can be seen in Space Mountain! I also asked you guys which side you like better. I'd have to say we really like the left side more. :confused3 I know Fiance and I cannot wait to ride this one in March since it was closed last June! Here's what the WDW website has to say about it:

"Blast off on a journey into outer space on this classic attraction. Board a sleek, rocket-shaped vehicle in the glow-in-the-dark Space Port and begin a steady climb up the 180-foot high mountain, passing the Mission Control booth and myriad pulsating lights along the way.

Once at the top, feel the wind race across your face as you are propelled through the remote blackness of the dark universe—illuminated only by shooting stars, celestial satellites, spinning black holes and shimmering constellations—during a rip-roaring rocket ride through the farthest reaches of time and space.

And because the majority of the attraction takes place in the dark, you just never know which way you are going to turn or drop!

Space Mountain Rockets

Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom theme park features 2 rocket-shaped vehicles consisting of 3 seats per vehicle that blast off from 2 separate tracks. It is the only version of the attraction that contains 2 separate tracks.

The left side track is called the Alpha; the right side track is called the Omega. Both tracks are nearly identical and mirror each other in twists and drops.

The rockets that race through space achieve a maximum speed of 28 miles per hour—but feel much faster in the dark.

Space Mountain Post-Show

After exiting your rocket-vehicle, you will board a moving runway to the Tomorrowland area, passing scenes of futuristic homes and businesses, as well as television monitors that broadcast your image live along the way."

Clue #7:

When riding this attraction, you're bound to end up on either the Lilly Belle, Roy O. Disney, Roger E. Broggie and Walter E. Disney for this "grand circle tour" of the MK.

That definitely the Walt Disney Railroad! So fun! Did you know one of them has a different sounding horn because it had to be replaced at some point? Fun trivia.

My guess is the WDW Railroad!

Do you have your plans finalized? Where are you gonna be on Sunday & Monday? :confused3

Sunday is the day we get there. We'll be at the MK that night. Monday we're at DHS all day- have a 11:30 a.m. reservation for the Brown Derby and it's evening EMH's there!

#7 of my Top 10 MK Favorites

Of course, we always have to ride the train all the way around the MK at least once during our trip! My favorite part? Singing along with Pocohantas and embarassing Sis. Here's what the WDW website has to say about it:

"Walt Disney World Railroad takes you on a 20-minute scenic tour around Magic Kingdom theme park on one of 4 antique steam-powered engines with stops at Main Street, U.S.A., Frontierland and Mickey's Toontown Fair.

The Walt Disney World Railroad stops at a station every 4 to 10 minutes, and it is the perfect way to get orientated at the beginning of a fun day at Magic Kingdom Park—or a fantastic place to get away from the action, rest your feet, kick back, relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery.

The railroad trains are all meticulously restored antique freight trains. The 4 trains—named Lilly Belle, Roy O. Disney, Roger E. Broggie and Walter E. Disney—were built in the United States around the turn of the 20th century and taken to Mexico. They enjoyed long careers working for the United Railways of Yucatan hauling sugarcane, until they were spotted by Disney scouts in 1969 and brought to Walt Disney World Resort for opening day on October 1, 1971. They have been happily circling the 1.5-mile track around the Park ever since.

Walt Disney had a great love for railroad trains. He even built his own miniature railroad at his home in California. It was named the Carolwood Pacific Railroad, and railroad fans will want to check out the Carolwood Pacific Railroad Room at Disney's Wilderness Lodge."

Clue #8:

Arrghh matey, one of my favorite scenes to quote from this attraction: "Don't be chicken Carlos!"

Which class are you enjoying the most, tinkgurl?

Okay, MeMom. I can now answer your question. I think I'm going to really enjoy my 'Intro to Professional Counseling' class. Even though it's from 7-9:52 at night, it is really a fun class. The teacher is really nice as well.
