Well I kept waking throughout the night to the sound of rain and heavy rain at times it was too!! As we were off to San Francisco today that meant packing up in the rain!
We packed as quickly as we could and were on our way by just after 8.30am. As we left Yosemite the weather started to get better, but it left loads of mist in the valleys
We were coming into San Francisco just about lunchtime
Although it was cloudy it was not raining
We did a city tour and saw some of the sights
Then it was time for the Golden Gate Bridge walk, Michael would drop us one side and drive to the other to meet us there and have lunch
The mist and cloud was still hanging but the bridge was just clear, except for the last few feet of the highest parts
But by the time we got to the other side the mist began to drop!
After lunch we finished the city tour with a photo stop at Alamo Square and the Painted Ladies
Then it was off to the luxury of a hotel for two nights. We were on 7th Street near to the shopping area of Union Square. Once at the hotel we all roomed up with our tent mates and got ready to go out on the Sunset Bay Cruise. The cruise left from Pier 39 so we got the tram down there and stopped to watch the sealions, but most of them had gone
By now the weather had also picked up and was nice and sunny
As the cruise included a drink and some snacks we ate and drank briefly but soon returned to watching the sunet
After the cruise we all went to a sports themed restaurant on Pier 39 for dinner. I had the clam chowder and a cocktail
By now it was late so we got the tram back and stopped off to get our tents from the van so that we could hang them in the bathroom so that they could dry off as were soaking wet when we packed them away that morning!!
