We are trying to get our ground transportation from MCO to Port Canaveral all squared away for our Disney Fantasy Cruise. We like the Go Port Canaveral Fly, Snooze, Cruise Packages as an all inclusive option to get us where we need to be and for what seems to be a reasonable cost. Has anyone used this service before? I am not so sure about this company as I have read both positive and negative reviews, and since we will be traveling with young kids, I don't want to kick off our vacation with long waits or bad service...

THANKS!

we did this a year ago. We fall in the upper middle section between "Horrible" and "Excellent"

Something happened with our pick up at MCO. Had to wait about an hour, then we went to the other side of the terminal and filled up the van / trailer (but not to the point where it was over crowded). There were people that had to wait for the next shuttle - that sounded like it was just minutes behind us (vs our hour wait). So we arrived during a shift change or some other issue. Since we come from the west coast we were NEVER going to make it to the coast before it was dark, so the hour wait although frustrating, didn't really change anything.

They stopped at other hotels on the way to ours. But its was not a horrible experience, and obviously not an excellent one either. As it turned out this was going to turn into a positive in the morning (due to the hotel we picked).

The hotel we picked was OK (by no means a 4 star hotel, but it had 2 bedrooms and a living room and small kitchen (not used)).

The next morning there appeared to be a mix up in shuttle services that were picking us up and dropping us off at the port. There were other people waiting with us, and theirs arrived a few minutes before ours was scheduled (theirs was running a little late). And their driver was willing to take us! :tilt: (we just showed him our confirmation). So there were 6 of us on this shuttle (small bus), then we stopped at the next hotel and picked up a few more. Then we stopped at the next hotel and there was a HUGE number of people queued up waiting for the shuttle! Only a small number were able to fit. So no more stops before we get to the port. We stopped at one other ship before we were at the Fantasy (I think 3 large ships were in port that day).

We did not use the shuttle to get back to MCO (paid a reduced fare) because we had late evening flights (last time I let my brother book my flights when I am away on another trip :crazy2:)

All of the shuttles were 15 person or larger vans / small buses and they pulled trailers for the luggage. There were (planned) different shuttle companies for each leg of our trip.

BTW: We stayed at the Wakulla Suites (link) and here's TripAdvisor link

We used it last year and had no issue.

We just got back and here was my experience with a large group:

We picked a hotel near the airport because I anticipated one or more flights being delayed and it's soooo much easier to coordinate with an airport hotel shuttle than a third party transportation company. We did the Fairfield Inn MCO, they were GREAT, loved it, big pool, nice rooms, and lots of options for dinner (that they will shuttle you to, or you can walk, as there are tons of options less than a mile away and there are sidewalks the whole distance). So that part was super smooth.

The trip to the port stressed me as follows: I found out that morning that our shuttle was going to be an hour after our original pickup quote - we were quoted 10:45-11am and the front desk said they were scheduled to arrive at 11:45am. I called both Go Port Canaveral and the transport company because I hadn't been thrilled with the time to begin with, so later was a problem. I have no idea if it helped, but the bus ended up showing up at 11:07, and when the driver realized how many people/bags there were, he radioed for another bus, which arrived as soon as our bags were all loaded. The trip ended up being really fast, he dropped us off first, and we were able to walk through the terminal and right onto the ship (except for an Incident in the terminal with one of our group, my heart stopped I swear, but on the plus side by the time her situation was resolved rooms were open and we were able to all eat together in Cabanas, so win?).

The return was very smooth, loaded up on a bus, waited a few minutes for it to arrive and a few more for it to fill up, and then dropped us off at the airport. Some stayed there and some used the return privileges at the hotel (called for the hotel shuttle to get brought back, spent the day at the pool and had lunch there). The boat cleared on the later side and we were still back to the hotel before 11am, even with all that.

A lot of my stress came from trying to herd 30 people different places, though, to be honest. It's not like I could have called a cab in an emergency! Overall, they did what I needed them to do, so I would absolutely do it again with a smaller group. Next big group trip I might roll the cost of the Disney shuttle into the upfront quote for my own stress reduction (just wish it stopped at the Disney hotels earlier, we like to get there early!).

We used Go Port Canaveral last November on a RCI cruise on Freedom of the Seas and it was seamless. We stayed at the Hilton and they provided transportation both ways and a place to park our car while we were gone. I don't remember the price but I think around $169. Well worth it to us

We used them in January and had no problems. Make sure you sign up for their emails if you book, they have a few sales during the year...if you catch one and call they will refund you the difference. We saved an additional $20 off an already cheap $165 Fly/Snooze/Cruise package by doing so.
