I'm looking for good gluten free snack ideas. I've settled on the DDP, so we will each have two snack credits a day. DH and I are easy (hello Starbucks!), but I know E will be super hungry (she's always hungry). She is allergic to wheat and tomatoes. The problem is she's not a super big sweets fan. She loves savory snacks! If we could just get ice cream and popcorn, it would be easy, but that won't be enough to satisfy her between breakfast and our lunch reservations. Does anyone have any great ideas? I saw they have hummus at some locations. They also seem to have cheese to go with pretzels, so if the cheese is GF, I could bring bring corn chips and she could have nachos. If there are no good GF options, I will have some things delivered to the hotel and just have to tote her snacks around with us in a small cooler; but I need to know that to plan ahead!

When I google GF WDW snack credits, all I seem to find are drinks and sweets. Any ideas? Should I post this on restaurants?

Here's Disney's "official" page on the subject: Special Dietary Requests

If it's helpful, you can bring snacks from home into the Parks - you will need to let Security know at bag check. I know that it takes away from having a special "Disney only" treat, but better to have a known-good snack from home than to suffer the effects in a Resort hotel room later...

If you will be at a resort quick-serve location, ask if the house-made chips are gluten-free. They are at some locations and not others, but if you can find the gluten-free ones they're REALLY good, and we've sometimes been able to use a snack credit for them.

I’m sure folks here can share some of their favorites, as can folks on the Restaurants forum. Unfortunately, I think the “Search” function is not fully working right now due to the upgrade. Hopefully that will return shortly.

Enjoy your vacation!

Dole Whip is gluten free. 😀
Many counter service places have dedicated fryers, so the French fries can be gluten free, and most have allergy chicken tenders. We haven’t used the dining plan in many years, so don’t know what can be had as a snack credit.
Here is a god place to start looking. https://www.glutenfreedairyfreewdw.com/menus/

This was very helpful. She listed snack on the DDP and where to find them. Turns out I’m right. For most savory snacks we’re going to have to bring them in. C’est la vie!
