Gluten Free in Disney? (Desserts)

My GI doctor thinks the cause of my GERD is Celiac Disease. We have a trip coming up with 10 restaurants planned. Does Disney offer any gluten free desserts?

I made my reservations before this came about - how do I go about letting them know? If I recall, they need to know before your arrival, not when you show up at the restaurant. Do I simply need to call the dine line and have it added to all of my reservations if this is the prognosis?

All you have to do is call the Dine line and let them know and they will add it to your dining reservation. Disney is WONDERFUL when it comes to accommodating for food allergies. We went one year with my aunt and cousins and my one cousin was allergic to EVERYTHING and they made him special food and the chef came out before the meal to discuss with my aunt and uncle just what he couldn't have and came back out after the meal to make sure everything was up to par and that he liked everything....at every restaurant we ate at. Hope this helps!!

I was perusing menus on the Disney site recently, and saw that Jikos had an entire Gluten free menu listed.

Most restaurants accommodate, but I took my Mom to Babycakes at downtown Disney on our first night and she stocked up for the week.

Thanks. I contacted Disney and they provided me with a wealth of information.

If you contact special diets at WDW, they will send out a form via e-mail for you to fill in all your ADR's. The chefs at each restaurant will then get the form and know what you can't eat. They then have time to request items if they don't normally carry it.

They can also send you a list of CS places that have special food for people with allergies, etc.
