Gluten Free at WL

This may not be the right forum, but we will be traveling with my DIL who needs to eat gluten free. I'm not sure how that would work at Wilderness Lodge dining locations. Plus, that makes me worry about MK restaurants, too. Does anyone have any experience with this? This will be her first trip to WDW, and I just realized I hadn't given her food restrictions any thought. HELP!

We stayed at WL in 2012 and have been back to visit yearly since, most recently in April 2016. We need to eat GF as well and we are always taken care of well at WL. We ate at the Roaring Fork a lot, which is their quick service. We also love Whispering Canyon Cafe for a sit-down restaurant at the WL. Really, all of WDW will be able to accommodate gluten free very easily. We love The Plaza, Be our Guest and Columbia Harbor House in Magic Kingdom. We love Cape May over at Beach Club (walking distance to Epcot and HS) for character breakfast. But really, anywhere will be able to accommodate, quick service and sit down locations. Search for the gluten free dairy free WDW blog-she has links to the allergy menus on that site at many places across Disney World.

I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease over 20 years ago. I go to WDW at least annually. DIL will have no problems eating anywhere at Disney.

There is a lot of info on "gluten free & dairy free at WDW" and on "gluten free in Orlando" These blogs are written by two woman, Sarah and Alexis, who travel to WDW frequently and then write about their dining experiences. They have covered all the restaurants and QS locations. They include pictures with their write ups.

Sarah has a search bar on her blog, "gluten free & dairy free @ WDW. If you scroll down on "gluten free in Orlando", Alexis has an index on the right hand side under labels where you can click on any of the parks, disney springs, etc.

I check these blogs regularly to see what new gluten free options are available in Disney.

On your dining reservations note the allergy. Also tell the hostess and server. They will have the chef come to your table. At the QS places she will need to tell them of her allergies and a manager will come talk with her.
