Does anyone know if the Tusker House has gluten free Mickey waffles and pancakes? Also, what are some of the better glute free dishes there? We have ADRs at 10:30 so are hoping for breakfast and lunch items since DS doesn't like breakfast but DH and I do. Plus, we gave up Chef Mickey for breakfast to try the Tusker House. Thanks.

Yes for the waffles as of late August.
My son can't have wheat, soy, egg, dairy, peanuts, some treenuts, sesame, buckwheat or shrimp and much of the buffet was actually safe for him but they brought him food out from the back.
The two times we've been there they have had a curry chicken we love... we generally love Indian and middle eastern food and they have many of those flavors available so we always go crazy there getting a little of everything.

We've done gf breakfast at Tusker House a few times (every time we go!) and it's great! The most recent was this past May.

Yes, they do have Mickey waffles :) I believe they can do gf pancakes too. Truthfully, this is the best buffet-it's huge! There are quite a few unique dishes that you wouldn't expect to find, and a good portion of them are gf. (I'm trying to think... something with sweet potatoes that was yummy... geez, I can't remember details! I'm getting old :P ) It's a really good meal :)

Is the sweet potato thing you're thinking of the mixture of root vegetables? We had to get a custom version (something in the regular wasn't safe for our long lists of allergies) and DD15 (13 at the time I think) ate most of it and asked for seconds. We had no idea she liked a variety of root vegetables until then. Who knew?

We've had great experiences for both breakfast and lunch at Tusker House. I didn't think to ask about pancakes so I really have no idea if they can or not but they did make up big plates of Mickey waffles for us. Along with huge plates of bacon and sausage and eggs and I'm blanking on the rest. I'm sure I've got pictures somewhere in my older dining reports. We don't tend to do a lot of breakfasts any longer since our particular lists of allergies mean there aren't a lot of breakfast foods that we can eat making lunch more attractive for a big meal for us. Even saying that though we know we'll eat well even for breakfast at TH but we just prefer lunch in general.

We were there several years ago for lunch, and they made ds gluten free flatbread, homemade gluten free donuts, and brought him gluten free cookies AND brownies. He was super pleased. Not sure what they do now, but we contemplated going for breakfast just so he could get the donuts.

Just back from my trip and had gluten/dairy/soy free waffles at tusker house. There are other dishes that were available. The chef was very friendly and accommodating. LOved the jungle juice by the way.

clanmculloch, I am pretty sure the dish I'm remembering was just sweet potatos, like in chunks, might be been roasted but not dry, there had to have been butter/sugar or some kind of glaze, and the were YUMMY! The more unique dishes are off to the right when you're facing the buffet from the main dining room, so I know it was from over there. (I'm very visual LOL)
