I am going to WDW in 12 days with two good friends and their two little ones. My friend would like to buy some of those glow sticks ahead of time so that when one of the little guys is begging for something from the glowing cart o'crap, she can just whip them out. Any ideas where she can find them? She's tried Walmart but didn't find them there. I thought I had seen someone on this board talking about buying them early. She lives in CT and I live in NC in case there is somewhere regional to get them. TIA!

Well, I can never find these things anywhere near where I live, so I always buy an entire can of them on Ebay before we leave...That way I have enough for on the trip down, each night we are there and while we are in the parks! I know not everyone likes buying from ebay, but they are the cheapest I have found and I have bought from the same person several times now, so I have no worries! :) The kids love them, they last just as long as the Disney ones and I don't have to worry about the kids wanting the ones at disney! :)

Hope that helps some! :)

In Indiana, the Dollar Tree and CVS (pharmacy) carry them! Good luck! Ren

Thanks to both of you. Hopefully we can find them at a Party store, but if not, I would never have thought of Ebay, so thanks!

Thanks Ren. We have both those stores here, so hopefully I can find them for her if she can't!

:D The Dollar stores in Md have them too. I bought some really nice ones that came 4 in a pack with 2 necklaces that are 22'' long and 2 bracelets- all for a $- Great deal!:D Good luck with your search!:Pinkbounc

Dollar Store is cheapeast, of course, but it doesn't always have them. She may have looked the wrong place in WalMart -- they are in the party supplies section with the little favors.

I recommend getting necklaces instead of sticks b/c there's nothing to carry.

I have also seen sticks in the sporting section at Walmart I think closer to the fishing stuff.

Hi all,

We went to The Disney Store and
bought the handheld spinning
lights for our 2 kids. We will just
keep them in the backpack and
let them have them for the parades.
I think they are cheaper at TDS than
at WDW. Good luck.

Home Depot sells glow sticks also. The last time we purchased some they cost less than $1 each (I think about 79 cents). Sometimes they are near the cash registers.

Have a great time.

B'rer Karen - I've seen them at the "Christmas Tree Shop" in CT for less than a dollar. It's just off of I-95 (I think exit 42).

ROTFL glowing cart o'crap!!!

You can also buy the glowing spinning toys at places like Target. They are just a generic toy with no characters but they are also only a couple of dollars instead of $10+.

There's a bunch of web sites that sell the glow sticks as well. For several years now I've ordered a bunch at the beginning of the summer and used them for our WDW vacation and other local amusement park trips. I don't think I've ordered from the same web-site twice yet.....I just check for pricing and go with whoever offers the best price. I'd post a link, but I think I've read that's against the rules. If you use any search engine you'll find lots of choices though.

One word of advice.....if you are going to use them on different days, buy the ones that are individually wrapped. This is a particular concern if you're buying necklaces....the ones that come in the bulk container can easily be accidentally activated if not kept in the container.

Thanks everyone! I didn't know they'd be available all over the place. Thanks again!
