glow necklaces on planes?

Hi, I bought a canister of those glow sticks that bend and connect to make bracelets and necklaces for my niece to have and share during parades. However, we're doing Spectro the evening we arrive, so I will have to bring along at least some of these glow sticks with us in carry-on, as we're using Magical Express and won't have access to our checked luggage until later that night.

Has anyone tried taking these onto a plane in carry-on since the latest restrictions about the gels and liquids were placed several months ago? If so, was it a problem or were they confiscated? I really wanted to take most of them with us to Spectro for her to share with other children around, but don't want to risk losing half a canister to the airport, nor do I want to do anything to slow down going through security.

I checked them in my luggage...so, no sorry, I didn't carry them on....I had a slew of them and thought for sure I was going to be called to security because of all the glow things, window clings (we went down for Halloween....so I wanted the grandnephews to be able to decorate the windows at Old Key West for Halloween)...why not call the airlines and ask, and also call Disney and ask about being able to access one of your bags before leaving for the parks......how about shipping them to yourself at the hotel and picking them up before going to the parks? Good luck!

I don't know if you can carry them on or not, but can you ship them to your hotel?

I doubt you would be able to, because they have a liquid in them, and from what I've heard, they're being pretty strict. I suggest you ship them to your hotel beforehand. Or, you could buy other glow/light-up items at the parade.

Another option might be to pack a small checked bag without the ME tags on it and then just pick that one up at baggage claim yourself. A little bit of a hassle, but might work if you don't have time to/ aren't inclined to ship them down.
