Glennbo’s City, Sand, and Savanna PTR - TR Link (pg 73)

Just wait, I guess.

It’s time to reveal some more game results!

First, we had two remaining questions from the Survey Game. If you recall, two of my family survey responders provided an answer that wasn’t listed as one of the survey choices when they got to the question “Which Disney character are you most like?”.

Those people were:

(drumroll)

1) Lauren, who answered “Mary Poppins (practically perfect in every way)”, and

B) Gram, who responded with “Happy”.

So, in our game, if you guessed either one of those people (a 2 in 7 chance!) you got a point.

And, those results also show you the answer to the last game question “Who picked a character that wasn’t the same gender as themselves?” It was Gram, because “Happy”, like all of the 7 dwarves, was a guy. If you guessed “Gram”, then you got a point.

None of you game contestants out there got both of those questions right, but people who got 1 point were:

Dan
Rob
Rosie
Mark
MissLiz
Marv

The Rules Committee, in their infinite wisdom, has decided to award Poolrat Pat a Bonus Point! for guessing (incorrectly) that I went with a non-survey supplied character: Timon, which used to be my Disboards avatar. I thought that answer was better than the one I actually supplied, so that was worth the bonus.

And also, as has been reported in some earlier replies, the Rules Committee, has graciously awarded a Bonus Point! to Tammie for achieving the lowest score in the game. If only this were golf. :)

Now, on to the Match Game!

This game was really, really hard. It was really hard because quite frankly, most of your guesses were better than the actual survey results. You obviously put more thought into it than the survey-takers did.

And yes, that means that our overall winner was someone who made some terrible guesses, but got terribly lucky. I’ll reveal who that is in a little bit.

Let’s start the “who-was-who” with me. Over half of you guessed that I was “Goofy”, and given the list you had to pick from I probably should have been. If you think back to when I met Goofy at the Epcot Character Spot (flashback link) and I was wearing my Goofy shirt and doing “raise the roof” with Goofy, it had to be….right? Well, one of the few people in the game who guessed Woody was me (I went back and looked – it was Tammie Bonus Point!) said that it was because I was the organizer, and I think that’s exactly right – that’s how I saw myself at that moment.

I’m going to steal back my pie charts from Cynthia, and I’m going to borrow her convention of putting the correct answer as an exploding piece of the pie. I like that. Good upgrade! Bonus Point!

So, as you’ve already read, Glennbo answered “Sheriff Woody”.

Judy

replied with “Minnie” and this was the one that had the most right answers in the game (46%). After her “Misty Minnie Moment”, it was a good guess.

Lauren went off of the supplied list and went with Mary Poppins just so she could work in the “practically perfect in every way” line.

Marlene opted for Tinkerbell.

Your guesses for James were pretty evenly split between Mater, Woody, and Goofy, but he went with Mater.

Gram was “Happy”. I guess she’s happy to be going to DisneyWorld!

And Poppy supplied the “Goofy” response. I could easily see him as any of the guesses you made, especially Mater. Heck, he drove a Chevy truck he called "the blue goose" that looked an awful lot like mater (minus the buck teeth). But “Goofy” was his survey answer.

So, who won?

The Rules Committee decided, since the game was so hard, to award points to the first 3 finishers. (Thank you Rules Committee!! :worship:)
1 point to third place,
2 points to second place,
and 3 points to first place.

Third place was a tie between Cynthia and Marv, with 3 correct answers. Both will get 1 point.

Second place was Nory, with 4 correct answers. She will get 2 points. I thought her score was going to hold up for the win, but a later entry topped hers.

The overall winner, the worst, yet luckiest guesser was Mark, Capt. Oblivious, who got an astonishing 5 out of 7 right. He only missed Judy as Minnie (the easiest one!) and Lauren as Mary Poppins (which he should have gotten by process of elimination). Mark will be awarded 3 points.

The updated points are (better check my math everyone):

Dan - 4 Judy-sighting wins, 3 survey game points
Pat - 3 Judy-sighting wins, 2 survey game points, 1 Bonus Point!
Molly - 2 Judy-sighting wins, 2 survey game points, 1 Bonus Point!
Magdalene - 1 Judy-sighting win, 2 survey game points
Rosie - 2 bonus question win
Cynthia - 1 bonus question win, 2 survey game points, 1 match game point, 2 Bonus Points!
Rob - 2 survey game point
Kelly - 2 survey game points
Mark - 3 survey game points, 3 match game points
Katharina - 2 survey game points
MissLiz - 3 survey game points
Marv - 3 survey game points, 1 match game point, 1 Bonus Point!
Tammie – 2 Bonus Points!
Nory – 2 match game points

Thanks for playing!!!

Good Answers- even though I still feel you are Goofy. ;) Thank For the Bonus point. Even though Timon was my guess. :confused3

Tending to my sick little girl, who needed my every attention and care. Do I get a bonus point for that maybe? It's all true!

Oh, that's a low blow. You know if I give you a bonus point for that, Marv will come by later and say that he was feeding the homeless or scouring the neighborhood trying to return a lost puppy or some such thing. :rotfl2:

Not a fair comparison because at least MINE is true. A significant difference that I'm sure the Rules Committee will take into consideration.:flower3:

Hey Glenn! Just wanted to let you know I'm here and checking in! I only got through your "City", "Sand", and "Savanna" links so far, but thought I'd say hello!! :good vibes

Sounds like an amazing trip you have coming up... and I'm betting those 3 years worth of points will totally be worth it!!

Are you and Cynthia having a competition for who can have the most intricate pie charts in a PTR? :rotfl:

I, I mean we...believe you. We really do. ::yes::

A significant difference that I'm sure the Rules Committee will take into consideration.:flower3:

Yes, and they said to send you this: :flower1:

I did terrible! I am shamed

Don't feel too bad -- it was really hard. And you got one that most people missed: Poppy as Goofy ('cause they all guessed it was me).

:yay: Hi and :welcome: Susie/Sooze!! I have to laugh because I recently saw the Seinfeld episode where Elaine makes up a fake co-worker named Susie. It started out from a real co-worker calling her (Elaine) Susie by mistake and she never bothered to correct her. Then she started calling her Sooze and Elaine hated it, even though she wasn't even Susie in the first place. Seinfeld - The Susie episode It's a good one.

Feel free to use the chapter links in the table of contents (at the bottom of the first post), or the links at the end of each chapter, to get caught up. :goodvibes

I think so too. It's going to be a good time! :thumbsup2

Are you and Cynthia having a competition for who can have the most intricate pie charts in a PTR? :rotfl:

Nah, but we're pretty alike, aren't we? Next you'll be seeing posts from people saying they can't do a PTR because they don't know how to make a pie chart. :rotfl2:
