Glass Breaking - emergency questions

Our back door has double paned glass and the inside has started shattering. It is crackled all over, not sure how it broke I don't see any glass broken out.

I thought I could just put masking tape on it so that it wouldn't fall out but not sure if that would make it worse.

I'll call someone to come out pretty quickly and get it replaced just need to know what to do right now.

If it were really bad, I'd finish breaking it and take it out, then tape cardboard or something over it.

If some masking tape will keep it together, I guess you could try that.

Other than that, I don't know. Be careful.

That happened to us but it was the outside pane. I don't know what you can do to keep the glass from falling out.

No glass has fallen out. It's still in the door just in pieces.

I went ahead and put the masking tape on it. At least it's covered and pieces won't fall on the floor.

Now to call insurance.
