Event is a GO!!!!!
August 11, just outside Halifax. We have a local family restaurant/pub reserved. Going to have a great afternoon of food, music, auction, raffles and good ole socializing. We have a great team ready to raise money and ensure a good time is had by all.

Tickets are $10.00 each for 9 and over (keeping with Disney). With each ticket bought, you will get 5 ballots/tickets to the penny auction. If you can't make it, but want to contribute, we have a team ready to sign your name to your ballots and randomly deposit them.

While I commend you in your efforts for fundraising for a fantastic cause. I find it sad that A World of Dreams based in Canada for canadian kids with severe disabilities and illness had to close it's doors last year due to lack of funds. They were the ONLY wish foundation that allowed families with children, with no formal ability to communicate, make a wish for their child.
We were on the waiting list for a year and received notice that we will not be able to have a "dream come true" now. She has been rejected by every other wish foundation due to the fact that they are unable to understand her eye gaze communication and therefore, she does not qualify. sad really.

Yes, that is sad..........thank God for people like Pete and the Dis team. I have very close friends who went to GKTW with their now deceased son. If not for them and now the Dis, I would never have heard of GKTW. It is nice to see that you did get on a cruise, my friends would never have been able to do anything with their son without the help of an organization due to his physical limitations. They also were not able to leave him for similar reasons. They have two children 24 & 18 who were born after their disabled son and would never have taken them without him. I am so glad that I have this insight into this organization, I believe it is what will drive me to raise as much as I can.

Thank you for your well wishes. Actually my disabled child has not be able to vacation with us since she was 4 yrs old. In fact, we have yet to taken a family vacation... all our disney visits are with my 3 able bodied children on my own. My husband stays home with our daughter as we are unable to leave the country leaving her here due to her medical needs.

Hello there, I recieved your PM, thanks.

I did a Children's Wish collection this past Christmas. I have a rather extensive Christmas display that is synchronized to music. Did some local advertising with the help of our local newsletter, and we raised $430. It was very heart-warming to go out every night and empty the collection can in the driveway and see how generous people can be.

All the best for your fund raising. Please let me know where this will be and I will do my best to drop by with my family.
