We want to go to Sea World Orlando on our next trip, haven't been there in at least 20 years.
A few wrenchs to throw in the plan----we are going during a very busy time--Thanksgiving week (will probably do Sea World the day after Thanksgiving) and have limited time to be at Sea World, we have ADR's for dinner at a Disney resort @ 4:15.
We have two boys, 7 & 4. We really aren't too into thrill rides, since we're short on time I think we should stick to the animal sort of things. :confused3 We have no problem being there at opening, but I imagine we'd need to leave by 3 at the latest.

Is there a good plan for us that will have us see most of the "biggies"? Please help!!

thanks!!

Hi there,

That's a tough one, but if they aren't into rides, then you might just be able to squeeze the major goodies in!

Here are the big shows that they would probably really enjoy:

  • Shamoo - Believe
  • Clyde and Seamore
  • Blue Horizon
So I would get a time on those first and then plan the other stuff around those.

The other fun "boy" stuff that you can see without a timeframe:

  • Shark encouter (walk through / people mover) this goes fast and is really neat
  • Penguin encounter - (walk through / people mover) this goes fast and smells but is really neat
  • Pacific Point Preserve - this is just an area where you can watch seals in a natural type of enclosure. The fun is that you can feed them fish ($) and it is well worth it. It takes as long as you want. Excellent picture spot.
  • Stingray Lagoon - More feeding ($) or just looking. Usually a little crowded but doable in a short timeframe.
  • Dolphin Feeding - More ($) and loooong lines to get fish but my boys love it. However, if I had to choose, I would do Shark Encounter and Pacific Point Preserve over this.
I'm pretty sure that you can't do this list from open - 3:00 but it's our boys' highlights! Have fun

P.S. I just put some pics on my blog from a day trip that we took there the other day. I have some pics of the Clyde and Seamore show as well as Blue Horizons and some other random pics. It's listed on the blog under the title A's Fifth Grade Field Trip. My link is below.

thanks for the help. I'm getting worried we can't do it all in one day, maybe we should just save it for another trip..........but I guess some would be better than none!!!

Do you know if the show schedules are listed somewhere on-line before we get there? That would make it so much easier to plan! thanks
