My son just said the unthinkable- he asked me if we could go to the place in Florida with the whales. I was so flabregasted I said sure. Now I need to know all about Seaworld. I haven't been there in a billion years and the only thing I remember is the dolphins splashed water on me and it made all of my bug bites itch really really bad. We are thinking we might take him to Seaworld the day of his bday instead of the MK as planned.

Wow...that's a lot of info! We love SeaWorld - we make it part of our every 2-3 year trip to DisneyWorld. It seems a slower pace than most of the other parks and for some reason, it always, always, always rains the day we go there. Not sure why. We can go all over Orlando and never see a drop of rain until we set foot in SeaWorld.

There's tons of shows to see (don't miss Clyde and Seymour - they are a lot of fun) and you don't need to feel like you have to rush through everything because there is plenty of time to see it all!

Of course, you have to watch the Shamu show. If you sit up close, you know you get drenched, but the kids will love that. This year, we think we're going to try the Shamu Rocks night show.

Yeah, you're going to get wet, so some kids wear their swimsuits under their clothes. But it's a lot of fun and worth it!

I hope that helps some!

I live in florida in fact 30 minutes from sea world 45minutes from disney and 15 from port canaveral we go to either disney or seaworld just about every weekend my kids have lately been really into seaworld because there 2 and 6 and they have really awesome kids play area compare to disney. my childern really enjoy the blue horizons show which is with the dolphins and also the sealion feeding area there is a sealoin and otter show which is a hoot and if you like la nouba there is show similar to it about 45 minutes long in the natulius theater which is nice because its air conditioned there are like 4 to 5 killer whale shows a day the best time to see it early morning and the best time to eat lunch is when there is a killer whale show going on it draws the crowds away from the lunch lines there is a small water park area in the kids play area so i always have my kids swim suit on hand there is also a couple of kids rides in this area like a mini coaster a merry go round i would have them ride those frist before getting wet because shoes and shirts must worn on the rides have fun remember sun block.:cool2:

So can we do Seaworld in a day? We are only stopping in Orlando for 1 night in August on our way to Vero Beach. We are really only stopping so that we "feel" as though we are getting value out of our ap's. So I was thinking August 3 at MK and the August 4 (DS 6 bday) at Seaworld. I have an early ADR for Chef Mickey's but then we can head over to Seaworld. How much does SW cost?
