Give me the 411 on Contemporary concierge

We just made ressies for concierge at the Poly in October, but need to do the first three nights somewhere else due to no availability in concierge for those nights. We tried AKL, but they only had a two bed suite (more than we need the first three nights, though friends are joining us after the weekend). GF has no concierge rooms available those dates either! SO, that leaves WL and the Contemporary. We don't want to stay at an Epcot resort this trip (though we plan to someday). I know nothing about Contemporary concierge levels. I know there is some differences about floors, do they have suites? Is there more than one lounge? Anyone know what I want to ask for when checking out ressies for the Contemporary? Thanks!

The 12th Floor is "Concierge Light" and IMHO not worth the money. The 14th Floor is just wonderful. Very exclusive, there are only 16 or so rooms and suites on the entire floor, so the service is very personalized. The food and beverage offerings are higher calibre than we've seen at other WDW CL's, and there are a lot of nice little perks such as DVD players in the rooms and a minifridge stocked with complimentary juice, soda and water on your arival.

Wow, very fast, ducklite! I almost mentioned you by name when asking my question, because I knew you knew the answers.
So when I call I ask for availability on the "14th floor"? Is that a guaranteed thing they will recognize, and there's no way that when I arrive they give me 12th floor? So it's like lagoon view or garden view guarantee by rate--meaning, if I book 14th floor, I pay for that, and that is definitely what I will get?

One more question, do all of the rooms have MK views, or do some look the other way? Are views guaranteed and purchased too? (again, like garden or lagoon)

They will know which floor you are on when you book. Also, because there are so few rooms of each type available on teh 14th floor, they literally block your room when you book, so you will know which view you have.

Yes, book "14th floor concierge." CRO will know the difference and you will not end up on the 12th floor. Most of the rooms on the 14th floor are suites. They do have a limited number of regular rooms - either with one king or with 2 queens. The max occupancy in the queen rooms are 4 and king room is 2. No daybeds are available and they will not provide a roll away. I don't know how many are in your family so I thought I should let you know up front. There is either MK or bay view. You can request a specific view with regular rooms, but I have no idea if it is guaranteed. If you opt for a suite then you book either MK or bay view to guarantee the view. I hear both views have their own advantages. I haven't stayed yet, but will soon.

We would love a suite, do they only have king beds or are there some with queens? I assume the king suites have max occupancy 2, or do they have higher occcupancy due to the second room having a daybed or pullout or something?

1 bdrm suites have 2 queens and pull out sofa.

2 bdrm suites have 1 room with 2 queens and 1 room with 1 king. I'm not sure if these suites have pull out sofas or not.

They all have the same size dining/living - HUGE!
