We are going to Disney in 6 weeks and are wondering how you go about finding out more about the restaurants. We have heard about a breakfast/lunch with the Little Einsteins (my daughter's favorite) and also the typical characters, such as Goofy, Mickey, Donald..which are the best with food/characters?

Any other places you recommend? I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. My daughter does have special dietary needs, so that is on our minds also.

Lastly, anyone know anything about dining with the wiggles/ I know they aren't as popular anymore, but they are my 2 year olds favorite :)

I believe the Little Einstein's are at Hollywood & Vine at DHS? And Mickey/Minnie/Goofy/etc are at various restaurants - Liberty Tree, Chef Mickey's, etc. Reservations go very fast (people tend to book there's 180 days before their trip), so I would not tell your kids they're eating with so and so until you actually call and get the reservation. 1 407 WDW DINE is the number for ADRs.

Check out this website for menus. It also lists which restaurants are character dining. Good luck :) http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm

Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom is our favorite--we have breakfast every year there with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. We also went to Cape May Cafe this year and had breakfast with Minnie, Goofy and Chip and Dale. Chip and Dale are no longer there, Donald Duck has replaced them. As previous poster mentioned, character meals (be it breakfast, lunch or dinner) fill up the fastest. And with you going in six weeks your picks might be very slim. I'd call right away.

Of the character meals, we like Crystal Palace best for food, and Garden Grill best for character interaction. Totally agree with previous posters though - your options are probably going to be slim this soon before your trip, but you might luck out, who knows. Call ASAP and see what you can get. :)

I noticed in one of your earlier posts that you are going the same week we are. We'll be there from 11/30-12/6. We have 2 (almost 3) yr old b/g twins. We are mainly going to buffets so they kids can eat quickly (a big deal w/ my 2).

Here's where we have booked for this trip:
Boatwrights, 2x (B) - we are staying at PO-R
Chef Mickey's (D)
Boma (B)
Cape May Cafe (D)
Crystal Palace (B)
Les Chefs De France (D) - this is just for me and my husband
Playhouse Disney at Hollywood and Vine (B)
Princess Storybook at Akershus (D)

As far as I know, at H&V, it's Leo and June from Little Einsteins and possibly JoJo from JoJo's circus. Since we are just 6 weeks away, you may have a hard time booking some of the character meals. I have a feeling that Chef Mickey's is all booked up. When I called 2 months ago, I had to settle on 7:55p for dinner. Akershus is probably booked as well. H&V may have openings because I understand the food's not that great. We are going for the characters. You may have better luck w/ the character dinners at other deluxe resorts (Chef Mickey's fills up so fast because it's a sure-fire way to see the "big cheese").

If I were you, I'd call WDW-DINE asap, and just ask the CM what he/she has open for your travel dates. Be sure to cross your fingers and sit on a lucky penny while you call. GL.

Hi, yeah we did cape may & really enjoyed it. Cafe Mickeys is also a good choice with kids! Not sure about the wiggles sorry - I haven't heard of them being anywhere in particular!

We lucked out and got what we wanted :) YAY! This is SUCH a last minute decision to go on this vacation that we are rushing it! But so far it is working out for us.
