In two weeks we’ll be getting ready for our first full park day at Epcot!!

This will be our pre-Flower & Garden Festival visit to Epcot as the festival begins on Wednesday. I’m excited to see the before & after. Alex isn’t happy that Epcot is our second park since it’s his least favorite. I’m hoping he has a change of heart this trip. We may or may not swing by DHS for a quick ride on RnRC sometime today. It’s not on the itinerary but it will really make the boys happy if we can do it.

Plans for lunch are either Teppan Edo:

I’m still waiting to see the new lunch menu when the restaurant switches to Signature Dining for dinner. If the filet is still on the lunch menu, we’ll be there later in the week after the change. If it’s coming off the menu, we’ll be at Le Cellier today & Teppan Edo at the end of the week. I’d prefer to be able to go to Teppan Edo today since it’s Zach’s pick and therefore a must-do. Either way, I’m sure dessert will look like this:

The weather has drastically improved over yesterday’s forecast. Yesterday we had this:

85 may be a little hotter than Tim would like but it makes me happy to see less rain and no high temps in the 60s!! And actually the temps are a bit cooler, closer to 80, at Jeff & Karen’s.

Today is the last day of double digits so that means tomorrow I can do a big single digits dance!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!! My valentine is in North Carolina for work this week so I’ll be sharing the day with my mini-valentines.

One of my little valentines woke up very cranky this morning. I hope he is in a better mood when I see him in a few minutes.

Too bad that Alex is not a fan of Epcot. Maybe as he gets older, it will grow on him. Maybe you should take him to do Sum of All Thrills. Charles so enjoyed that experience that surely everyone else would love it too.

I'm the one who woke up on the wrong side of the bed today! I had a serious headache this morning - I even took a little nap today & I NEVER do that! After I got my morning update posted of course...

Sum of All Thrills is on our must-do list this year. I'm excited to take time to explore Innoventions this year.

Two weeks from today, Tuesday 3/1, will be our first visit to Magic Kingdom!

We’ll be having breakfast at Crystal Palace before the park opens.

I can’t wait to finally walk up Main Street all by ourselves… along with the other early diners. I had a pre-park opening ADR for CP last year but we ended up canceling because of family confusion with Jeff, Karen, DMIL, etc. I was a bit worried when park hours were extended with MK opening at 8am many days that week, but our day stayed at 9am!!

After breakfast we’ll head to Fantasyland for the big Small World DISmeet. I’ll get to meet oOJulieOo, brookelizabeth, MeMom & brooklynnsmommy, Stasieki and maybe some other DISers. It should be a lot of fun & I’m hoping the family will cooperate and tag along on my DISmeet. It may end up being me & Zach if Alex & Tim aren’t up for it. Turns out MeMom & brooklynnsmommy have a pre-park ADR at Crystal Palace too so we may get a chance to meet before Small World!

I also want to show the family the new stand-by queue at Winnie the Pooh. We’ll either ride WTP before or after IASW depending on time. We’ll spend the rest of the day visiting our favorites & maybe exploring some new things. Lunch will be at Columbia Harbor House or Pecos Bills. Cosmic Rays is another option if we end up at that end of the park at lunch time. I’m hoping for the Taco Salad at Pecos Bills.

At some point we’ll take a break back at the villa before heading to dinner at Ohana!

I’m a bit nervous about this one… I know we can find something for Alex to eat if we ask but I’m really picky too! Tim & Zach will really enjoy this restaurant so I’m willing to take one for the team. I may need to fill up on some yummy MK snacks later on.

After dinner we’ll head over to MK for Wishes at 8pm. The park is open until 9pm so we’ll have time for a couple rides after the fireworks. I’m excited for Wishes this year – we’ve never sat and watched them. Alex actually asked me if we’d be seeing any fireworks this year so he seems to be excited about it which will make it easier to wait. I told him we’d be seeing fireworks twice (Wishes & Illuminations) and a parade one night (MSEP). I asked him if he would like to see a night time parade and he said yes – if he could buy a souvenir that day to look at. We have found this strategy works really well for him. Hopefully we can find something that will hold his interest – like another fandex… but I think he has them all! We’ll also be on the hunt for Lincoln related items because Alex will be Abraham Lincoln in the school wax museum at the end of March.

The weather continues to go up & down... The 80s are gone & the 60s are back!

Thanks Doreen!! Yes - so windy yesterday & Monday night! It was keeping me awake - I was worried the power would go out & I wouldn't be able to get the generator moved into the backyard with all the snow & Tim being away. Luckily there weren't any power problems.
