Give me an AP & look what happens - 2 for 1 PTR!! NEW 3/11 p.63 TR Link

The weather forecast is looking fine to me. I do hope it won't rain on the F&G opening ceremony on Wednesday morning.

What time is your CP ADR again? I think Jill said we have 8:05. We may run across each other in there.

Do your boys parade behind Winnie the Pooh? If we see them, we'll wave. They won't know who we are or why we are waving, though!

How exciting that your vacation is only a week away. I thought all the schools in NH were closed all of next week for President's week. I know that's the biggest ski week of the season.

Loved your Epcot pics!

:cool1::cool1: I can't believe it's almost here!!

NH is kind of strange... some schools are off next week (Pres. week) but there are a lot that are off the week after - we've always been part of that group with the later vacation. It works out really well for travel, but not so good if we want to travel with friends who have kids in other districts.

Just six days until the start of your vacation? Color me envious!!! The weather looks just perfect for your trip, really and truly. It has been in the 70's the last couple of days here. At soccer practice yesterday, one of the track coaches noticed my WDW lanyard (which has all my school keys on it) and said, "I could totally handle being at Disney right now." Turns out he loves it there as much as we do, and it really was perfect Disney parks weather yesterday. :thumbsup2

We've had a bit of a warm stretch here too. It's going to be close to 60 today! :sunny:

I love when people strike up a Disney conversation! :thumbsup2

Our ADR is for 8:05 too!! I bet we'll see you there. :woohoo:

Day Nine, Friday 3/4

In two weeks we will be starting our day at Animal Kingdom.
treeoflife.jpg

We’ll visit all of our favorites, walk one of the trails & maybe catch a show.

Pangani-Forest-Exploration2.jpg

We'll get a bite to eat, probably at Flame Tree BBQ.

flametree.jpg

Tim might want to try out Yak & Yeti. :confused3

After lunch, we may or may not head back to the condo for a mid-day break & swim... depending on time, weather & fatigue. Our evening plan is to go over to DHS for dinner at Mama Melrose’s (another first for us).
mamamelrose.jpg

I'm sure we'll catch a ride or two before or after dinner. ESPN weekend starts today so we'll also check out some of that stuff- I'm most interested in the interactive activities for the kids - Alex in particular. The park closes at 7pm so we’ll have an early evening.

The weather:
Here is weather.com, which only has our first few days:

Accuweather…
Thursday 2/24: 78/59 Sun & some clouds
Friday 2/25: 80/60 A couple of showers
Saturday 2/26: 85/61 Variably cloudy with showers
Sunday 2/27: 84/58 Partly sunny
Monday 2/28: 79/55 Periods of rain
Tuesday 3/1: 72/54 Mostly cloudy
Wednesday 3/2: 80/55 Mostly cloudy
Thursday 3/3: 81/59 Sunny
Friday 3/4: 83/56 Sunny

Not much going on trip related here yesterday, but I did make another Target run to pick up a birthday gift for a party Zach is attending this weekend. $150 later… I picked up a few trip related items too. I got the boys new small flashlights & those nightlights that don’t have bulbs. We usually bring nighlights but I thought this would work out better than having the bulbs, which break easily. I also got some more card games & activity books for the boys. I picked up a couple tooth fairy books too (the tooth fairy brings money & books). Alex lost a tooth Tuesday & we thought the tooth fairy forgot to come, but when he was in the bathroom I spotted her stash under his other pillow. :rolleyes1 Zach lost a tooth Wednesday too so my stash is shrinking. They both have more loose teeth so the tooth fairy needs to be prepared to find them in Florida. I swear they wait to lose teeth on vacation!

Only SIX days to go!!! Today is the last Friday before we go!!

countdown-1.jpg

The weekend should fly by - On Saturday, Zach has karate at 9:00, Alex has his last basketball game at 11:30, Zach has a birthday party from 1-3, then the boys have swimming tomorrow evening from 4-5. :faint: On Sunday, Zach has ANOTHER birthday party then we'll be celebrating DMIL's birthday (which is actually on Saturday).

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday will be almost as crazy with finishing up work things, helping with the Green Eggs & Ham lunch at school Tuesday & various appointments.

Up next - Day Ten!

You have a BUSY weekend before you! Kinda nice in a way to make time fly right by. :goodvibes

I hope you enjoy your meal at Mama Melrose! As you might remember from my TR, we really enjoyed ours there! YUM! The crowds are expected to be very low at DHS that day (1.1 out of 10), from what I have read it's busy around the hat where some of the events are going on, but the rides are walk-ons.

Yes busy days are good right now! :thumbsup2

1.1 out of 10 is GREAT! I'm looking forward to Mama Melrose's. After a bunch of trips it's nice to have new restaurants to try out.

Day Ten, Saturday 3/5

In two weeks we will be at Epcot & Magic Kingdom… I think! We usually spend the last couple of days hopping around visiting all of our favorites. We definitely won’t be at DHS today since it’s an EMH morning but I wouldn’t rule out any of the other parks.

I'm pretty sure we’ll be spending the evening at Magic Kingdom to see the MSEP. We have lunch ADRs at Le Cellier & Teppan Edo so we’ll probably start the day at Epcot… but I’m also feeling like we might not have enough Magic Kingdom time planned so maybe we’ll go to MK early, monorail over to Epcot for lunch, take a break and head back to MK?? :confused3 Or maybe we’ll just miss out on Le Cellier again? I don’t know… We definitely can't miss Teppan Edo so if we didn't get there earlier in the week, we'll be there today!

But let’s not think about our second to last day of vacation… In one week we’ll be at Jeff & Karen’s. Tim & Jeff will probably go golfing this morning – or at least I hope so because Tim has decided to drag his giant golf club bag down there for the possibility of golfing once. :headache: As of now, we’ll be checking five suitcases, Tim’s golf bag & a car seat bag with the boys’ two booster seats. All for free. I love Southwest. :lovestruc We’ll each have a carry–on bag, plus there will be one extra bag with a change of clothes for when we arrive. The boys will have their backpacks with everything they need to keep them happy. Tim will have his laptop bag with his laptop & the ipad. I will have my Disney carry-on with all of our essential paperwork, liquids, medications, magazines for me & some snacks. That’s a grand total of ten bags, plus the golf clubs & booster seats. We learned a couple trips ago to get two smart carts at the airport rather than just one. ;) This is another factor to consider when deciding which rental car to go with. Smart Carts can go all the way to our rental car if we rent at the airport (with waits at two counters & no free driver). I we take the Alamo shuttle we have to schlep all of the bags on & off the bus – twice. One of the things stuck in my head that’s pulling me toward Alamo is the memory of the dirty, disgusting, scratched up van that we got last time through Thrifty? Or was it Budget? We requested a different van but it would have involved a trip back to the first counter inside to be reassigned a different car (if they even had one), then a trip back to the counter outside to get the keys. We just took “before” pictures and headed on our way with what was hopefully just ketchup & spilled soda all over the car – including the ceiling. I watch too much CSI – because to me it looked like high velocity blood splatter. Anyways… moving on!

We only have FIVE more days!!!

Whew! Glad the Tooth Fairy was just being sneaky about where she was putting the money. She has actually forgot to come to our house before.

Charles and I ate at Mama Melrose's on our very first trip to Disney together in 1995. I have fond memories of that meal. :lovestruc Well, aside from the fact that we were there in August. Talk about hot!

Hurray for five days!!! :woohoo:

The tooth fairy had to come again last night! She's been busy at our house recently. That's the fourth visit in 2 1/2 weeks! Hopefully Alex is done for a while now.

Glad to hear another good MM review - I don't think I've heard a bad one. :thumbsup2

I can't believe it's five days... I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself.

I will be anxious to hear how you liked Mama Melrose's. It is our favorite place to eat at DHS. I hope you will like it.

Wow you do have a busy weekend! I see you have power this morning. Chanel 9 said there were about 20,000 without power due to the winds. So far so good here.

I love all the busy-ness of the week leading up to vacation! :thumbsup2

Your weather is looking PERFECT! :cloud9:

We made it through most of the day... Zach isn't going to swimming tonight since the birthday party we just went to was a pool party at the Y. I let him have the night off. ;) Ok... I wanted the night off! Tim took Alex so I could catch up on some laundry. :laundy:

Yay - another good review for Mama Melrose's. :cool1:

I missed the news this morning so I hadn't heard about the outages... but it doesn't surprise me, it was so windy last night. I was worried because Tim was flying into Manchester around 10:30, but he got in OK. I saw a tree down in the road on the way to karate this morning.

5 days! And today is about over, so lets just go ahead and say 4! :goodvibes Sounds like all those last minute details are coming together.

We might be in MK a bit on March 5 as well, so I marked it in my notes that you may be there too - I'll keep watch for ya!

Woo Hoo!! Now it's FOUR!!:banana:

Two weeks from today... We'll be heding home! :sad2: But not after a little morning fun. We'll get up, pack up and check out of Vistana. We don't have to leave Orlando until around 12:00-12:30 so that leaves us with a little time to kill. I have no idea where we'll end up, but I'm sure we'll find something fun to do. ;)

But enough about that... One week from today we'll be leaving Jeff's & heading to Orlando.

And in just...

Accuweather...
Thursday 2/24: 78/59 Sunny & pleasant
Friday 2/25: 80/60 Partly sunny
Saturday 2/26: 80/59 Plenty of sunshine (.01” of rain)
Sunday 2/27: 81/58 Partly sunny
Monday 2/28: 79/55 Brilliant Sunshine
Tuesday 3/1: 70/49 Sunny (.07" of rain)
Wednesday 3/2: 70/51 Mostly sunny
Thursday 3/3: 73/55 Sunny
Friday 3/4: 75/59 Mostly sunny
Saturday 3/5: 77/61 Sunshine & some clouds
Sunday 3/6: 80/55 Sun & some clouds

Pretty awesome weather forecast!! :cloud9:

Tomorrow I'll post my updated to-do list. :thumbsup2

:woohoo: Are you just about done packing yet???

Almost... There's all of the last minute stuff like underwear & toiletries that we are still using. I was able to consolidate the boys two small suitcases (I had used small rolling carry-on size suitcases) into one larger suitcase. So we're down to four suitcases & the carseat bag. But that leaves us packed pretty tightly without too much extra room for souvenirs, etc so we may end up with one of the small rolling carry-on suitcases in the end... :confused3 Tim isn't bringing his golf clubs after all... he decided to rent some if they play.
