Give me an AP & look what happens - 2 for 1 PTR!! NEW 3/11 p.63 TR Link

Ugghh... Tomorrow night is supposed to be the rescheduled winter concert for the boys' school. The principal has already said it will probably be rescheduled... AGAIN! I'm sure there will be no school Wednesday & I'm planning for a 2 hour delay on Thursday. 12-20 inches! :scared1: And we're closer to the 20 side of things. :faint:

I keep looking at Channel 9 & seeing all these town offices closed for tomorrow but not ours yet... I am hoping to get a call soon saying we are closed tomorrow. My DH work is closed tomorrow & they NEVER closed but 14 people put in for a vacation day:rotfl: so they decided to close.

Anxious to see those travel things.:goodvibes

Ready and waiting to ooh and ahh over the travel sizes!

popcorn::

Coming up!

I can't believe your trip is so close! You look like you are well organized and have a great plan of attack to get ready...as usual! :)

Busch Gardens sounds fun! I know what you mean about being nervous though...Disney definitely has us spoiled and I find myself comparing other parks to WDW all the time. :rolleyes1

I'm so ready to escape this snow! I know I was just away but eleven days will be a much better break than four.

I'm sure I'll be comparing BG to Disney... but at least we'll be there before Disney.

That is a long to do list! Hopefully you can get everything done without too much stress. :goodvibes I feel for you guys with all of the snow! :scared1:

It's much more manageable to break everything down over four weeks or so than to try to cram everything in at the end. More snow pictures coming up.

School is already closed here for tomorrow & DH will be working remotely from home. He came home tonight & didn't even bother to clear the driveway - I guess we'll only have a handful of hours without snow overnight then it starts right up again. :sad2:

I hope you don't have to go to work tomorrow.

Lots of things to get done, but I am sure you will manage it all! It always seems to come faster than you realize! You have been getting a lot of snow! We had our share last week... Stay warm!

We're 6 inches into a potential 20 inche two day snow storm here in NH.

Here are a few pictures... This is looking out one of our side windows over the driveway toward our neighbor's house:

Our backyard play structure:

Yes, that Christmas tree is still there... and it will probably be stuck there until spring!

This is a picture from about a month ago after the first (I think) 12+ inch snow storm.

And here is the view of the back stairs. Usually there are three steps down into the backyard:

Speaking of weather... I'm really hoping that the weather is warm when we get down there. I know Tim & Zach will appreciate temps cooler than our April/May trips but I'm sure the boys will both want to swim too! I can handle pants & sweatshirts in the evening, but I'll be really disapointed if I have to bundle up like the January trip. The forecast for the next two weeks has more 70s than 60s for highs & lows mostly in the 50s, with a few 40s and one 38. Another week and a half until I can start looking at our dates & adjust the packing accordingly. Either way we'll have a great trip but I'm crossing my fingers for some warmth. :sunny:

With only 23 (almost 22) days to go, I thought I'd share our countdowns. First mine:
day23.jpg

Then Zach's after tonight's sticker:

And Alex's which started looking like this:

It has already been moved once for him to reach:
100_3621.jpg

After taking down tonight's link, we had to move it again:

I also promised a picture of my shopping yesterday:
100_3625.jpg

Blister bandaids, a new travel sewing kit, disposable rasors for me, deoderant for Tim & some wipes. They didn't sell travel size tissues so that went on my list for Target. Also on my Target list are sharpies, ziploc bags, new markers for the boys travel bags and 3 in 1 laundry sheets. I might try to find a thermal cover for my straightening iron. I also need to make a stop at the party store this week for Tim's pirate costume for the Penguin Plunge on Sunday. While I'm there I'll pick up some glow sticks... or maybe I'll swing by the dollar store for those. :confused3

And one last shopping favorite here on the DIS... I've ordered a new Vera!! I think it's the same bag irishdancer had on our January trip:

vera-1.jpg

I can't wait for it to arrive... I ordered it from a store in town that carries Veras to save on the shipping. :thumbsup2 I love that is has a zip pocket in the bag and front & the ring that attaches the handle to the bag - perfect for tying on those DIS tags. :cool1: My very old hipster doesn't have either of those features.

Edited 2/2: Oops - I posted the wrong pattern above... It's actually the Night & Day pattern that I ordered:

As you can see from the countdowns in my last update... the time is flying by!!

The snow is totally out of control around here! And everywhere else too I guess.

I got my thermal cover for my straightener at Vera Bradley. I know I saw they are available online but I got mine from the VB store. I think it was $18. They sent me a $20 off a purchase of $20 or more for my birthday and it was their 40% off of discontinued prints sale.

As I am typing this we are literally snowed in our house. It's white out due to rapid snow fall and 40+MPH winds. DH's company is closed tomorrow as is the library where I work. I didn't babysit today and I won't be babysitting tomorrow. I'm actually not too happy about that b/c I don't get paid. However, I will get paid for my scheduled hours at the library. Ehh...:confused3 What can ya do???

When were in Orlando this weekend the weather is supposed to be high 60's with some rain. Actually, there is a chance for rain when we're in the Bahamas as well. I'm okay with that, though. We're going on this trip to relax and that we'll do!

We're getting a ton of snow here too. Big blizzard. Disney has never sounded so good!

Yay for the countdowns dwindling down!

I am also antsy about packing according to the weather. I was going through Claire's clothes today and it's hard to decide what to bring without knowing the forecast!

Thanks for the tip about the thermal cover - I think I got the idea from your PTR! :thumbsup2

I'd heard Chicago was basically shutting down! I hope your time off isn't a total waste - I know it stinks to not get paid but try to enjoy it a little bit. :goodvibes I've been on the February thread & there are a bunch of people try to get down to Orlando this week & are running into trouble. I hope you get out OK.

Another Chicago DISer stuck in the snow! I can't believe how big this storm is - I think the weather man said it extended from New Mexico to Maine this morning! Which is funny because I said something about it snowing everywhere & Zach said, "Even in Mexico?" Not quite Mexico, but New Mexico is pretty close!

I've pulled together the warm weather stuff since we don't need it now & will probably plan for all of us to wear jeans/pants & sweatshirts. We'll probably wear fleece jackets too. We often leave them behind when we get out of the car at the airport but maybe we'll bring them along this time. I figure if we pack hats & gloves we won't need them, right? It's probably harder for you... we have laundry right in our villa so we can wash as often as we want. I can't imagine if I were trying to pack for all eleven days without haivng a washer & dryer handy.

The amount of snow you have been getting is just crazy! What a snowy winter! I hope the weather is warm enough for everyone to swim a little bit.

I love that Vera pattern! One of my students has it, and it is so pretty!

Cute travel sizes!

Where did you make your countdown? It is very cool!

The snow is a bit crazy - I guess the groundhog didn't see his shadow (not quite sure how he got out of the hole) so we're due for an early spring! We'll see about that... I think it will take at least six weeks for all this snow to melt! :sad2:

The countdown is a Disney countdown app I have on my iphone. On 2/2, we're down to 22 days!! I know my ticker is off - AGAIN! Not sure how that keeps happening!

I love the Vera! Blue is one of my favorite colors. It will go with almost everything! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: OK I posted the wrong pattern! I actually ordered the Night & Day pattern which is black & white:
vera.jpg

I was having trouble copying the picture from the website - I kept zooming instead of copying - I guess by the time I finally got it right, I had switched back to the default pattern! But the black & white is very similar to the blue & white that I had posted.

Black and white goes with almost everything too. :thumbsup2

LOVE the new bag!

Countdowns look great.....there's nothing like a good countdown chain to get the excitement flowing! :thumbsup2

We're covered in snow here too....I feel your pain!

No work for me today. Just relaxing.

DH just finished snow blowing AGAIN!!

Love the VB bag!!

Hopefully it will be warm enough for you all to swim. I always look forward to the afternoons by the pool. Of course I look forward to everything down there but do enjoy my afternoon swims :goodvibes.

Thank you for posting your To Do list-it helped me create my own! :goodvibes And I realize just how much I have to get done...way more than you!

However, I have the same mentality as MeMom....in about 2 weeks I'll get serious...

That's what I was thinking - she's got way more in order than I do.
I think in about two more weeks, I will get serious about things.

Glad you didn't have to go to work. I hope we don't have a delay tomorrow... I have too much to do!

As usual, I've been checking the Orlando extended forecast religiously! Even though our dates are still too far out! :rolleyes1

Here are a few shots of Zach outside today... Alex didn't want to go out & we had just put brownies in the oven so I couldn't join him either. Tim was working in our bedroom.

Notice the newly lost tooth:

He was having a hard time getting around out there... notice how high the snow is on the picket fence:

Notice Snowy (the kitty) is looking out at how "snowy" it is outside:

Hoping for some sun & temps above freezing so we can start melting before we get our next little storm this weekend.

Poor Zach is practically buried out there!

If your countdown is on your iPhone, I will have to add it the ever-increasing list of reasons I need one of my own.
