Give a Day Get a Day Promotion 2010. Does anyone know how the free ticket will work if you purchase a Magic Your Way Package. Instead of a ticket do they exchange for a gift card like the birthday promotion last year.

you have the option for trading it into a special fast pass or their is a mickey hat with pins I believe. No gift card options.. or you can us it to upgrade your passes but not sure how that would would with a package. (I am going with the fast pass option)

No GCs, just the option of a special FP for one park, a souvenir Mouse Ears pin set, or donating the ticket to charity.

Another option is to get your package with just a one day base ticket for each person. When you get there, have your package ticket removed from your room key and issued as a paper ticket. Put that ticket away and save it. It will never expire and can be used (and upgraded to a longer ticket if you want to) another time. Then, use your GAD voucher for admission the first day you go to the park. Upgrade the GAD ticket that day to whatever kind of ticket you really want for your trip.

It doesn't save any money this trip, but next time you go, you will already have a one day ticket that can be upraded to a longer ticket for that trip. Since Day 1 is the most expensive day, it will help cut your next trip price.

We are doing this in September. Basically, it is a round-about way turn your GAD ticket (that expires Dec. 15) into a ticket you can keep as long as you want and use whenever you'd like.

Each voucher may be redeemed for a one day ticket. If you already have a multi-day ticket or an AP, you can redeem your voucher for FP cards for your group (Disney states up to six people, all of whom must be present and have a valid ticket). Alternatively, you can receive one figurine and pin set with one voucher, or the voucher can be donated.

you redeem them all separately.. but one voucher can get you up to 6 fast passes for the day so you can hare with your party.

Just to clarify, the GAD ticket itself may be upgraded to a multi-day MYW ticket or an AP or a FL resident or military ticket. The GAD ticket can't be used to upgrade an existing ticket - the value of the GAD ticket can't be combined with another ticket (the only exception being combining the GAD ticket with a water park ticket and upgrading to WPFM).

Also, some ticket booths (maybe all by now) have a 'finger scan' machine as you get your ticket your finger is scanned to match the ticket.
I had a very nice CM who let my DD scan her finger for 'my' ticket as I have an AP.
