Hi all, sorry have been missing for a while on here - partly dued to work and family troubles and partly to summer holidays can tell

We have got back fron DLP yesterday and i already miss the magic SO MUCH ( shame i must tell it's so expensive there that i need to save for a while before i can go back, just eating in four needs a mortgage lol

Anyway: day 1, sunday

Me, Giulia, 45
Brian, 53
Edoardo, 21
Enrico, 14

We left to Bologna airport *way too early* as my son said but check in and to go through security took so long i was happy we were there quite early. Flight was on time and it took about 1 hour 20 mins to get to CDG airport. But once there and the plane had got to parking nothing happened and the door didnt open. After about half an hour we had been there wondering about a security alert or what else?? we were told the pilot had parked the plane in a wrong position and we had to wait for a tractor to pull it forward or the door could not open. Amen lol

We had just hand luggages and so after the door was sorted out we run out to discover the BS transport was not there. Panic. I tried to ring them but my mobile didnt let me. So asked the informations desk and was just told *sorry we cant help* and to go and get VEA. After about another half of an hour and panicing big time, could see a man getting off the lift with my name written on a piece of paper. He could see i was upset and said he was sorry so many times because there had been a misunderstanding with another driver.
So eventually we left for DLP.

At the Cheyenne there was a long queue waiting to check in for arrival and we started queing. As we were talking in Italian, a nice DLP lady walking by, stopped and said she was from Italy too. Then she asked us if we wanted to wait for the room or were interested in going straight to the Park. *The Park of course* we said. She asked for our booking number and went and collected our documents, gave us the Parks tickets and the other useful stuff and said to bring our luggages to the luggage storage and come back to get the room key in the evening when we wanted to. I wonder if she did it just because we were Italian or just to cut the queue short lol

We got at the Park about 2 am and the character Train was just running, the Park was very busy, many familes with little kids and hundred of pushchairs lol. My kids were hungry and so we stopped at the Market Deli House and bought 4 baguettes with ham and cheese and 4 Diet Coke for *just* 20 euros lol

After the snack, kids wanted to go to Discoveryland and hit Star tours first (as they are both fond of StarWars) and the queue was 40 mins. My son Enrico was wearing a T-shirt saying Italy world champion 2006 and one of the DLP men in Star Tours was not amused lol

We had tried to get Fast Passes for Buzz before Star Tours but they were not avaliable and the queue was very long, and it was still very long after we had been on ST so we left it for another day and decided to get FP for Space Mountain instead (just me and Edoardo). It was 3.30 pm and we got them for 5 pm.

So we went and watched the 4 pm parade. What can i say? Disney Parades are always something wonderful but Dancing a Catchy Rythm was another things and the music stayed on your brain for ages after you had heard it....

After the Parade me and Brian went to It's a Small World, kids waited for us outside as they think they are too old for it lol (21 and 14) and then it was time for Space Mountain (Brian and Enrico went for a tour on the DL Railroad instead).
I cant say i was completely relaxed in the SM queue even if we had been on there when it was still Mission One lol i remembered it was not *too much* scary but i wondered if the memory had gone milder in the years lol

Anyway that's my opinion: Mission 1 was a lot better than Mission 2, Mission 2 is slower that it used to be and could not hear any music even if thought there should had been some. Plus it is pretty unconfortable and my ears were pretty red after the ride.

We had to wait a while for Brian and Enrico to finish the Train Tour and then kids went to the Game Hall (the whole holiday costed me SO MUCH money just for video games!!!) and Brian and me had a go at the Teacups and the Lancelot Carousel.
It was about 7.30 pm then, we were all hungry and so moved to the Disney Village to dine at Annette's.
Just a few waiters were on skates but they still dance at times, not on table though as they did in 1999 when we had already been there.

Both kids had All American Hot Doc and Brian and me had Mom's Chili, followed by two Sunday Monday Happy Days desserts - each one shared in two. It all for 84 euros.

A quick visit to Disney Village and then walked back to the Hotel, collected the key and went to the room.
Now, i am one of those who think a hotel room is just a place to sleep and have a shower but for four adults it was a little too small.
We were so tired anyway we could had slept ont the floor....

End of day 1.

BTW: weather was sunny and hot on Sunday Sept 16th
