Day 4 - Wednesday Sept 19th

Another cloudy, cold, windy but dry day.
We had booked brekkie at 8.15 at Hotel Cheyenne and was so busy we could hardly find a table. Food was the same as Good Morning Fantasyland: croissant, buns, chocolate, jam, butter, cheese, ham, yogurt, apple sauce and fruit salad plus drinks of course.

We went straight to the RER station and got the first train to Paris. It takes about 40-45 minutes to get there.
If you are interested to see the Louvre Museum as we did, you can buy the tickets at the Tourist Office just in front of the RER station, it costs 8.50 euros and it allows you to skip the queue at the Museum. You actually get in from a side entrance they told you when you get the ticket.

So we got off the train at AUBER station, we found ourselves in Rue de L'Opera and just five minutes walk away from the Museum entrance in Rue Richelieu.

It is impossible to visit all the Louvre in just one day and after two hours walk around it we were so tired we decided to get off it and have a lunch break as it was about 1 pm. 2 hot dogs, 2 crepes and 4 drinks = 41 euros!!!

Incidentally inside the Museum it was so hot and outside we were freezing.

Then we walked along Champs Elisee, saw l'Arc de Triomphe and got again the Metro to go to Tour Eiffel.

You cant go there and not go on top of it can you? So we queued for tickets, to go on top costs 11.50 euros each but the view is worth the price even if i found the lift a bit scary.

Funny enough i met a couple from my town who i had known for ages but not seen from ages in Siena up there!!

We popped in Gallerie Lafayette for a bit of shopping but it was SO expensive we just had a look. In one of the Gallerie's windows there were three handsome young men in panties modelling for rugby i suppose.

We were worn out then and so got the RER back to DLP, time for a quick shower, dinner at Annette's and then zzzzzzzzzzz lol

End of day 3

A lovely day in Paris. :)

Fancy meeting the couple from your home town ~ it's a small world!! :rotfl:

Very nice:) we are planning to do a day trip to Paris as well... How much did the train tickets cost? And where did you get the tickets for Louvre, at the DLP station, or at Auber?

Hi there Princess princess:,
we got Mobilis day.tickets, they cost 12.50 Euros each and allow you to go around the Metro and RER lines everywhere in Paris.

In Disneyland Paris you cant's get this ticket and the Louvre one togheter (it seems it is in every other Paris RER station but we were told by the Informations Office at the Station it was not possible at DLP) and anyway you just need to go to the Tourist Office just in front of RER station (between Disney Village and the Parks) and ask for Tickets to the Louvre. They cost 8.50 euros each and they allow you to skip the queue in front of the museum (a long one usually) and to get into by a side entrance in Rue Richelieu - just at the end of Rue de L'Opera, very easy to find.

Louvre is free every day for kids under 18 and every Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. it's free admission for young people under 26.

Hope it helps :goodvibes

Thank you very much... I can't wait to go there, It's been years since I've been to Paris...
