Gist of what's new w/ DVC since 2005? *blush* It's been a while...

Hello everyone. So much has changed w/ the DISboards since I was last here. I guess there's no DVC community board anymore, so I'm not sure if this post is in the right place.

Anyway, I wanted to say nice to see you, to those of you who might still remember me. (I see a lot of you have become moderators too! Congrats!) And nice to meet you, to those of you who became regulars on the DVC boards since I stopped visiting here. Things have been so busy that I haven't had time for the DIS *gasp*. It looks like my old info posts are outdated and no longer correctly formatted, so I'll be spending some time fixing those. LOL, I can't believe I didn't even come on to collect Dues data back in December/January, and Actual Property Tax #s etc.

So, have there been any major changes or announcements w/ DVC that I should be aware of? I can't possibly read through a year of posts here. I'll try, I suppose, but I'd certainly welcome a short summary if any of you could do that. Thanks! And it's good to see this place is still thriving.

Let's see -

The biggies are DVC members can now purchase the Dining Plan for points stays (and cash stays booked through MS) at DVC resorts. No requirement to buy tickets or stay a minimum number of nights.

You know about the great discount we get on APs & PAPs, right?

How about the reduced points for the Disneyland resorts? ANd they waived the 60 day rule for those resorts, too.

DVC members get a 10% discount on MNSSHP & MVMCP tickets for slected nights.

There are probably more, but at least for me, those are the "biggies", LOL.

The DVC members' website has been enhanced. You can now view your contract details, your reservations, the status of your points (how many left in your current UY, how many points you have banked, how many can be banked, etc.)

Good to see you back. I still refer members to your points transfer 101. Seems that may still can't get it straight whether transferred points can be banked or not. Or is it banked points tranferred or not?
