FRIDAY 12TH OCTOBER ANIMAL KINGDOM
GirlsonTour Trip Report 11th October 2007 25th October 2007
Coronado Springs Resort and Hard Rock Hotel
Andrea chief planner, chief of money (for this holiday) and generally chief of everything.
Andy chief provider of money and unwilling participant of this holiday
Kara chief spender of money and very willing participant of this holiday due to the fact that Mum and Dad were paying.
Lucy chief of all red heads and chief moaner (especially in hot weather).
Gosh my memory isnt very good because I have already had to dig out the itinerary to see where we went today. Last year I wrote little notes everywhere to remind me about things that we did but I have totally forgot to do that this time!
Lucy with one of the ladies who make your toast at the PM....I took them some Thorntons chocolate as a present and from then on they called us the Candy Girls!
Waiting outside for opening time, rather chilly first thing, but we then had to get a locker to put the jackets in.
As we were first in the line at AK, due to us getting up and out at some ungodly hour, Lucy was chosen to open a board by the holding rope in front of The Tree of Life.
It turned out that she was chosen again nearer the end of the holiday to do it again but we gave the prize away the second time. It comes in quite useful to have distinctive hair colouring on these occasions
!! I was hoping that she would have been given VIP for the Nemo Show however it was VIP for the Lion King Show
.we were very grateful to Lucy and hence showed her great kindness for the rest of the day which included buying her at least 2 pins during the morning. She is normally limited to 1 from the park during daylight hours and 1 at night ( per day!!!)
Front row at the Lion King Show.
Actually Andy looks quite happy on this photo!
On leaving AK there are always the odd distraction.
Now as anyone who read last years report knows Kara and I love sunbathing. Andy and Lucy dont ..big stumbling block when it comes to holidays. Someone has to compromise all the time (funnily enough its always Andy and Lucy!!). So afternoons tended to be a mad dash back to the pool, around 2pm, for the daily intake of rays.
Here's one for Obi and Wayneg!!
Wasnt so keen on Octobers earlier dark nights. Around about 6pm was the latest that you could sit out until.
Wandered over to the PM for a meal. For anyone interested there is a bar outside now at CSR with live music well, the same bloke every night playing those dustbin lids!! Last year it seemed that there was only us eating outside however this year everyone ate outside. How dare the Americans pinch our idea of eating Al Fresco
Don't try the hickory chicken wings, Andy loves hot, spicey food but even they were a bit too much for him!!
Tomorrow: BB + Fantasmic
