May 18th Nowhere and Rainforest Café, DTD

When asked what she wanted to do today Lucy replied

“Stay in the room and watch cartoons!!” :confused3

Kara wanted to “go to our pool (8b)” :goodvibes

So that’s just what we did – Lucy stayed in the room, in bed, and watch cartoons (until about 10am and then she was bored!), Kara and I went to the quiet pool (after serving Lucy breakfast in bed: bacon and sausage for a change!)

Lucy trying to break a world record for going down the slide for a record 33 times in one day!!

After yesterday’s almost full day of rain, today was the complete opposite – :sunny: another boiling hot day, blue skies but the humidity was creeping up and it was now noticeable.

Managed to drag ourselves off the sunloungers and in Lucy’s case away from the slide and hired a bike for an hour.

It was great fun, if not a little hard work in the heat, and we all managed to go on it. You saw far more of the resort because you were able to go off the main walkway round the lake.

Lunch was eaten at the Dig-Site bar area – yummy food there!

After all day of Lucy’s appearances by the pool (she had now gone to join her friends at the Dig-Site to play Volleyball) and Kara and I moaning about how hot it was! We had to drag ourselves to the room to get ready for our second ADR at the Rainforest Café at DTD.

Got there at about 8pm (reservation wasn’t until 9pm), got off the bus at the Circus end and wandered towards the RFC. Called into the magnet shop, bought loads of them! Had a look at the area around Raglan Road and then went into the Disney shop…..Lucy desperately wants the large Stitch, but didn’t like the way his ears were shaped!! :confused3

Seated immediately at RFC in the Gorilla area – it is very noisy inside, but good fun

….the colouring books kept both the children happy.

Service was ok however the food was mediocre and for $60 we had had much better meals for half the price. I suppose you are paying for the surroundings but I won’t be going back next year.

Yes, that is a pierced tongue!! Done about a week after going to University (3 years ago) and her Grandma hasn't even noticed it yet

Lucy in her sweatshirt (yet again!!)

Don’t know why we are so tired after a day of doing nothing but another early night ready for tomorrow….our last day in Disney.

If I were there with you I reckon I could give Lucy's slide record a good beating! I love water slides :goodvibes

Lovely quiet day - was RFC worth it just for the atmosphere, even if the food wasn't that good. My eldest desperately wants to go in October but I'm a bit worried, having read quite a few bad reviews.

That pic on the surrey bike makes it look miles across that lake, think I better start getting in training for my CSR stay :sad2: Thanks for another report,
claire xx

Another fun day the bike looks like lots of fun :sunny:

Another excellent day :) We weren't that impressed with RFC either. The menu looked fantastic, the food was ok but the service left a lot to be desired. Atmosphere wasn't bad though.

I think that if there is a place that someone particularly wants to go to then you should go - i just wouldn't go back again because i felt a bit ripped off!! But that doesn't mean to say that you won't love it .....go :thumbsup2

Yes, now i look at the background it does look miles!! I was leaving this snip-it of information for my last trip report but Kara and I had been training for a half marathon walk for our local hospice so we did find the walking much easier than if we hadn't done anything!!

Sounds like a very peaceful, relaxing day. Strangely, I agree about Stitch's ears - he looks even cuter with his ears down and I have asked Santa for one like that!

Great relaxing day, Vicki and I always have at least one of these sort of days on our trip :thumbsup2

I was thinking about eating Breakfast at Animal Kingdom's RFC, I wonder how that is.
