Day 15 May 25th Home Time!
The final day had dawned and we decided to do what we do best chill out!!
Kara and I lay by the pool, trying to catch the final rays of sun
, and Lucy went and played!! She had actually made far more friends at the HRH than at CSR, probably because its smaller and people tend to spend more time round the pool.
We vacated the room at 9am, stored our entire luggage and just lay by the pool for the next 4 hours, talking about where we had been and what rides we liked the best.
The Mears transport was due to pick us up at 2.30pm, which I thought was rather early for our flight at 6.20pm. We showered and changed at 1pm at the Health Club: which was just like the rest of the HRH luxury!! There was shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and a real luxury was the hairdryer!! We had forgotten how to use one so didnt bother with it.
The mini bus picked us up and went via the other two Universal hotels I would just catch a cab next time and leave later.
Stitch at the airport - now he's got that tatty sweatshirt on!!
Check-in went smoothly and again we were informed that there were spare seats on the plane military mode now took over when we boarded.
I would sit next to the window, Lucy in the middle and Kara on the aisle seat. When the seatbelt signs were switched off both Lucy and Kara would head in opposite directions to secure themselves an aisle each. I am sure that the American family in the next seats thought we were absolutely crazy because sure enough as soon as the seatbelt sign went off Captain Kara and Lieutenant Lucy charged off as though their lives depended on it!!!
Seats all secured I believed I was in for at least 5 hours sleep how wrong I was. The seatbelt sign went back on after about an hour and there was the worst turbulence that I have ever known. The stewardess brought Lucy back to my seat because she had been crying and I looked round to see Kara was in tears. She was lay about 7 seats behind me and I asked her if she was scared Yes was the reply But Im not giving up this aisle for anything!!! The seatbelt sign stayed on all the way home!
20 minutes to landing ......i really do feel sick, mum!!!
Kara as fresh as a daisy!!
Got off the plane and Lucy was promptly sick all over the airport carpet (apologies to anyone who was on that flight we just couldnt make it to the toilet in time).
She made a quick recovery after a visit to the toilets and we gathered all our luggage together looking forward to the movie style welcome with Andy
NOT!!
He had got stuck in traffic on the M56 and was 10 minutes late meeting us. Half an hour later and we were back at home, kids went straight to bed but I am one of those who try and stay awake all day.
To be continued .
