May 24th Day 13 Seaworld

Another day, another park – it seems like we have been in Florida for months! But none of us are in any rush to go home. Normally after a fortnight away one of us is missing something about England but not this time…..I think because we are all getting along together we don’t want this fantasy to end.

Anyway back to business! Caught a taxi to Seaworld at 8am (the courtesy bus didn’t leave the hotel until 9am – much too late for us early birds!) The taxi cost about $16 but gave him $20 – a good tip from the English (bet he was impressed with his $4! :rotfl2: )

Taking the flamingo's for a walk!

The girls wanted to ride Kraken first so that’s where we headed off to.

They were first in the queue and rode the front seats….came running off and straight back on again! Braver than me.

Weather was slightly overcast this morning but we decided it was still warm enough to do Journey to Atlantis – there was nobody on it and I had forgotten how big that drop is! Kara really doesn’t like the water ride drops but still kept going on them with us!

Saw most of the shows, except for Pet’s Ahoy, the one Lucy most loves. The show that we went to see (at about 2pm) was full and the next show wasn’t until 4.15pm and we were all shattered – she will have to wait until next year to see it!

"Believe" – now what can I say.

Build up was ok, didn’t particularly enjoy the animated penguins, much preferred previous years when they just take the mikey out of the audience!! Just before the show when they mention the Allied Forces and ask members of the Armed Forces to stand up I always cry :guilty: …….does anyone else?

Kara and Lucy had decided to sit way down in the splash zone – so I sat way up out of the way with the camera!

The show was ok – the moving screens at the front are quite distracting, and the basic story is sentimental slush – but hey! that’s part of being at Seaworld!!

The girls, obviously, got drenched from head to foot – Kara complained for the next half and hour saying that she smelt of fish. :rotfl:

Had a wonderful lunch at the Seafire Inn - have eaten here before and have to say that they are the most delicious burgers – two plus fries on one plate, so Kara and I shared one. Lucy had chicken strips and fries and followed that up with a tub of blue jelly – the sort that colours your tongue and inside your mouth for months afterwards!! Full of “E’s” so there was no controlling her later (not that we have any control at the best of times)

Following the same pattern of almost every day, as soon as we have eaten we give up and decide to go back to the hotel.

You know the routine by now………..sunbathe, Lucy off playing, HRC for dinner, bed before 11pm!! Kara’s got a big day tomorrow……..shopping at The Mall at Millenia. Lucy and I detest shopping so we are going to hit IOA and Universal for one final time!

Sorry its a short post today - Kara's 21st Birthday yesterday so we are still celebrating!!

I am loving your reports! I don't want them to end!! What a great husband Andy is to stay at home while you holiday with your beautiful girls!!

Another good day

Happy belated birthday to your dd. Is England as nuts as the U.S. and won't let people legally into bars until they reach age 21.

Thanks for the Sea World report.
