Washing all done, the following week Andy, Lucy and I went off for some R&R in Fuerteventura (off North Africa) . Kara stayed at home to look after the animals.

June 17th Kara and I had a sponsored half marathon midnight walk for our local hospice – we came in joint first in a time of 2 hours 55 minutes and raised £1000!

July 13th Kara flew to Palma, Majorca (island off Spain) with BF for a long weekend away to celebrate her 21st birthday – she said she needed a rest after Florida!

Andy, Lucy and I sat round the dining room table contemplating the Barbados holiday Xmas 2007 which Andy had booked whilst we were in Florida….

“Are we all looking forward to Barbados” I ask

“I would rather go swimming with Dolphins” says Lucy

“A beach is a beach” says Andy

Needless to say I didn’t have to ask twice, on the phone to Virgin, to alter it to Florida October 2007 – CSR and HRH again.

The GirlsonTour holiday achieved everything and more than I could have wished for. Not once did we have a cross word or argument. We all walked at the same pace, needed food at the same time and knew when we had all had enough!

If I die tomorrow, heaven forbid, I will die happy in the knowledge that this holiday bridged the 10 year age gap between Lucy and Kara…….bringing them closer together as sisters and hopefully a time that they will both never forget. I know that I won’t.

I would like to thank you all for reading my first (and probably only) trip report; your comments have spurred me onto finishing it. When I began typing this I hadn’t realised what hard work it would be!

Quick mention also goes to the IT department at work, who scanned the water park photos and to Lucy, who works with me on the reception desk – she has constantly encourage me by reading my trip reports (in works time of course!) and saying that she was enjoying them when I know she really didn't have a clue what i was on about half the time!!! Good luck with the birth of your first child.

Just finished reading your whole report and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it! It was so nice hearing about a family getting along so well -- I think a Girls' trip is a fabulous idea! I hope to see another report from your next trip!!

Thanks again for the great report & pictures. I'm so glad that both your daughters were able to make this great trip. Our two daughters are about the same age difference and it was nice for them when we wen't to Disney several years ago too. I hope this is not the last report we will see from you, lets hope we get another one after your trip next year.
