Girls Trip Take 2 - Labor Day Weekend 2021, Christmas 2021 and July 2024 Trips

Our first meal was Dennis' choice TREX in Disney Springs. I know the foods not the best but he loves the atmosphere for the kids.
I get it. I'll not willingly go to Rainforest Cafe again, but... the kids liked it.
Corkcicle water bottle bag
I had to Google that. interesting choices available. I can see why they're popular with y'all. :)
We were seated in the corner inside a Triceratops.
Inside a Triceratops??
I tried to get Danielle to split a meal with me but she wanted leftovers to bring back to her apartment.
She's learned that lesson quick!
John Paul is the oldest and has the most limited palate. He basically just eats carbs and cheese. I'm pretty sure he had Cheese pizza for almost every TS and CS meal.
Ah yes. I remember that phase.
Our next TS was Tusker House in AK for a late breakfast.
Don't think I've eaten there yet.
Dominic was actually really excited and good and loved them, Gabriel wanted some distance but was ok if someone was holding him.
:)
There is a really funny story but I think I might save it for now.
You better!
Danielle gave them the nickname of "Marinara Monsters" for a reason.

1722703745012.png
 Can see why!
BTW, that's a great shot of Michelle and JP.
We had a great meal and our server was Italian and fabulous but not male.
My sincerest condolences.

:rolleyes1
Her free meal is part of our "interesting story".
popcorn::
breakfast at Topolino's. This was the meal we were all looking forward to except Dennis.
You say he doesn't like change, but...
JP put away 3 croissants with Nutella in them in no time flat.
Dennis did get his steak and eggs and so did Danielle, what she didn't finish Dennis did. I had the Sour Cream waffles which I loved. I couldn't eat them all so Dennis helped me too.

JP had the waffle dippers. He was pretty full by the time they came out so Dennis helped him too.
um...
Dennis had to admit I was right.
There it is!!
Donald kept coming back to the table to spend time with Gabriel even when the other characters were there.
:goodvibes

I’m curious what the “event” was at Via Napoli…..
Wow, busy days with the 3 littles, looks like you all had a wonderful time and you have to do Trex and character meals with 3 boys!!

I do drive sometimes. But typically I don’t go that way. Hmmmmm…
You go I-95? I often wonder which one is more interesting.

I had to Google that. interesting choices available. I can see why they're popular with y'all. :)

I'm really happy with my purchase.

Inside a Triceratops??

It' s hard to explain. It's a really big round table with a high back. The head of the Triceratops is to the left and his tail to the right, so you're sitting in his belly, kind of. I didn't get a good picture of it.

Don't think I've eaten there yet.

It has great breakfast buffet choices.
My sincerest condolences.

We didn't have the luck @disneyAndi14 had with her server, but she was a lovely person and very attentive.

There it is!!

YES!!!!

I-75

I actually get that. :)

Except for the obvious shortcomings......

Marinara monsters! I love that!! We haven't made it to Topolino's yet because I am being a Dennis, LOL! I have too many favorite places already, so I hate giving them up to try something new. I definitely do need to get there.

Marinara monsters! I love that!!

They were certainly a pair.

We haven't made it to Topolino's yet because I am being a Dennis, LOL! I have too many favorite places already, so I hate giving them up to try something new. I definitely do need to get there.

I sometimes have a hard time giving up one of our favorites, so I try to do a mix of both. There is still no way to try all the options Disney has.

I can't believe how big the boys are getting! And 3 boys! Oye!

Glad it was a good trip! I always have big plans of posting alot and it's just not in my nature.

It was really hot and I never want to go back in July again. It really did a number on me. We did make the best of it and worked in as much ac time as we could. We did a good bit even with the limitations of heat and small children.
I bet you made do many awesome memories. Those boys are just sweet!
This was our first character meal so we were worried how the littles would react. Dominic was actually really excited and good and loved them, Gabriel wanted some distance but was ok if someone was holding him. Mickey got the best response from all 3 boys. Our server was Justin and he was fabulous. Tusker House was both JP's and Dominic's first character meals so Michelle wanted it to be Gabriel's 1st too. We used Danielle's 20% CM discount here.
Sounds lovely! I haven’t been back to Tusker House since our first trip in 2009! Boma keeps winning out for breakfast.
We used a 30% off coupon that Danielle had for 4 of our meals (coupon only covers 4 meals) and her CM 20% for the other 1 and we were not charged for Danielle's meal. Her free meal is part of our "interesting story".
Now I am curious!
too. We loved this meal and it ended up being everyone's favorite. Dennis had to admit I was right. Danielle went on and on about the dinner there too so I'm pretty sure either breakfast or dinner will be added to our rotation.
I loved Topolinos breakfast in March! The food was fantastic. Now I am excited to try dinner in a few weeks.

So many great memories made!

Sounds lovely! I haven’t been back to Tusker House since our first trip in 2009! Boma keeps winning out for breakfast.

Love me some Boma breakfast!

Now I am curious!

All in good time.

I loved Topolinos breakfast in March! The food was fantastic. Now I am excited to try dinner in a few weeks.

Can't wait to read your reaction. I've been there for dinner yet.

Who else is excited about all the announcements being made at D23? So much information and so much to look forward too. I know they made announcements for all the theme parks around the world, but I'm most excited on what was announced for Disney World. I think the thing I'm most excited about is Villain's Land, and of course we got the least bit of information on that.

Danielle is most upset about the closing of Dinosaur, she a big fan of it. We all love seeing new things coming but that also means something is going away. She is hoping they start the Monster's Inc. ride while she is still in Studios so she can finally sign a beam.

Back to recapping our July trip.

I wanted to share some more photos. Michelle is the Queen of Disney Bounding. She did a traditional Daisey for our Topolino's breakfast. I did a Topolino Donald but never got a good photo with Donald.

Here is Michelle and Daisy.

Here is our Daisy and Donald together.

We spent most of the rest of our day trying to get moved into our room at AOA. We did get a special visit from Michelle's best friend from college, Katelyn. It was really great to get caught back up with her. She no longer works in the parks so we can't "just run into her " anymore. Before we knew it, it was time to head to Beaches and Cream for our Linner. We took the Skyliner over to International Gateway but the weather wasn't looking good. We were really worried we were going to hit a "101", but we made it just in time. It did rain while we were eating and we did have to do some shopping while we waited for the Skyliner to open back up. John Paul and Dominic had kid's grilled cheese dinners but mostly just ate the ice cream and french fries. Michelle had the Grilled Cheese with tomato soup and a Bailey's Sundae. Dennis had Cheeseburger with fries and a Banana Split. I had the Rueben with watermelon and split a Snicker's Sundae with Danielle. Danielle wasn't very hungry and just had some watermelon and of course the Snicker's Sundae. Gabriel had a little bit of everything. We all enjoyed our food and deserts. I could have used a little more sauce on my Rueben. It was a chaotic meal so I didn't get pictures of all the food. Michelle and the kids went with a Stitch and Lilo theme. Michelle was Lilo and the boys were Stitches.

We didn't have any table service meals on Thursday while at the Magic Kingdom. We had our final sit down at Mama Melrose's in Studios on the Friday. This ended up being our most chaotic meal ever. I did not get any food pictures at all. Michelle got some pictures of the kids eating. Dennis, Danielle, Michelle and I all got the same thing, the New York Steak with Macaroni & Cheese Gratin. Michelle and I split a meal. We all split the Mushroom, Artichoke , Cheese Dip and House Garlic Bread. They were very slow bringing out the bread service so I don't know if anyone even had any. It came out after our meals. Dominic had the kids Spaghetti with a meatballs and John Paul had Cheese Pizza. Gabriel once again had some of everything. John Paul and Dominic had ice cream with their meals too. I ended up leaving the table early to take Gabriel outside. I strolled him around until he fell asleep. We all enjoyed our meals but the dinner was a mess. This was our last night and you could tell the kids were about done. We did end the day with a great time at Fantasmic.

I'm going to recap our park days next in the next update.

I’m sure dining was a wee bit crazy with the 3 boys especially the littlest 2 but I do love the photos you did manage to take and am in awe that Michelle managed to Disney-bound at all!
Love her Lilo and 3 Stitches and your Donald and Daisy outfits. You got great photos of you all.
Fantasmic is a wonderful way to finish a trip for sure :goodvibes

Who else is excited about all the announcements being made at D23? So much information and so much to look forward too.
There was a ton of info!
I think the thing I'm most excited about is Villain's Land,
::yes::
That sounds awesome. :)
Danielle is most upset about the closing of Dinosaur, she a big fan of it.
That is a shame... but...... I was thinking that Walt would want to be constantly reinventing and keeping things fresh.
Unfortunately, that means some things leave. (Bye, Splash Mountain.)
She is hoping they start the Monster's Inc. ride while she is still in Studios so she can finally sign a beam.
How cool would that be!
Looking good, Michelle. :)
But... I'm terrible at guessing bounding outfits and there's no way I would've guessed that!
Here is our Daisy and Donald together.
Very cute, you two. :)
We did get a special visit from Michelle's best friend from college, Katelyn.
Nice. :)
We were really worried we were going to hit a "101",
You're gonna have to explain that one...
John Paul and Dominic had kid's grilled cheese dinners but mostly just ate the ice cream and french fries.
 Can you blame them???
Michelle had the Grilled Cheese with tomato soup
mmmm... yum!
Dennis had Cheeseburger
Did he say how it was? I found it really interesting how they cooked them, but wondered how they tasted.
I had the Rueben with watermelon and split a Snicker's Sundae with Danielle. Danielle wasn't very hungry and just had some watermelon and of course the Snicker's Sundae.
Two Snickers... but no No Way Jose!
That thing is as big as your head!! :faint:
There's no way this is real. Michelle looks wayyyy too good with three boys. Where's the dark circles under the eyes? Where's the exhausted look in the eyes? Where's the haggard expression from going several years without sleep???

Nope. Not buying it. Definitely either a clone or photoshopped. ;)

(Seriously, this is a really nice photo of her and the boys. Thanks for including it. :))
This ended up being our most chaotic meal ever.
:scared:
Dennis, Danielle, Michelle and I all got the same thing, the New York Steak with Macaroni & Cheese Gratin.
How was the steak?
They were very slow bringing out the bread service so I don't know if anyone even had any. It came out after our meals.
After????
That's not slow, that's awful!

I love all of Michelle’s Dis-Bound outfits! She looks great! I love your Donald outfit! I often see you Dis-Bounding on your trips as well. I love it! I wish I was more creative and planned ahead! lol 😂 for being one of the most organized persons ever! I hate to think about trip outfits until a couple days before my trip!
Thanks for sharing all the wonderful pictures and recap of your summer trip!

I’m sure dining was a wee bit crazy with the 3 boys especially the littlest 2 but I do love the photos you did manage to take and am in awe that Michelle managed to Disney-bound at all!

She loves coming up with outfits. She inspires me. I told her on Saturday I think she could make money coming up with outfits.

Love her Lilo and 3 Stitches and your Donald and Daisy outfits. You got great photos of you all.

Thank you!

Fantasmic is a wonderful way to finish a trip for sure

The BEST!

That is a shame... but...... I was thinking that Walt would want to be constantly reinventing and keeping things fresh.
Unfortunately, that means some things leave. (Bye, Splash Mountain.)

I think he would like the changing of things too, but he would not have liked all the sequels.

How cool would that be!

She would really love that.

Looking good, Michelle. :)
But... I'm terrible at guessing bounding outfits and there's no way I would've guessed that!

This was a more traditional Daisey. The picture doesn't show all her little details.

Very cute, you two. :)

Thank you!

You're gonna have to explain that one...

Lightning or heavy rain detected and everything outdoors shuts down. Danielle was checking her phone to see if she got any alerts for Studios since they're pretty much in the same area.

Did he say how it was? I found it really interesting how they cooked them, but wondered how they tasted.

This was his second time having it and her liked it.

Two Snickers... but no No Way Jose!

I know, this is twice that I have shared the Snickers with her. Spoiler alert. . . I did finally get the No Way Jose in April!

That thing is as big as your head!!

That why we needed to share.

(Seriously, this is a really nice photo of her and the boys. Thanks for including it. :))

She was in her happy place and had lots of help. She doesn't look as fabulous in the real world. The boys are getting older and it is getting better.

How was the steak?

We enjoyed our steaks. Danielle and I split one in April so we knew what we were getting.
