Tie dye seems to be fairly popular right now. Lots of stores are carrying them in very tasteful versions.

Oh, and thanks for the Steakhouse update. I am calling back on the Cafe Orleans reservation today. This is nuts that they haven't gotten back to me.

Well, crud. No sooner did I hit reply on that post then my phone rang. It was Gary from Disney Dining. He said he heard back from the manager at CO and they will NOT be able to accomodate our group that day.

I had a feeling that was the case. Especially when I called right at 7 a.m. on the 27th, BUT they took so long to get back to me that I'm sure others have been calling in making reservations. So even if we would have fit at one point, we certainly don't by now.

Dang it. He suggested the Thunder Mountain BBQ. He said they should have no problem fitting in a big group there, but I said I'd have to call back. I didn't think anyone was really interested in that. And it's outdoors which means if it's cold or rainy we're out of luck.

Sooooo.............. now what?? Do a counter service? Try to make individual reservations? Everyone for themselves??? Any ideas?

I know we all wanted to go there, but at this point it's going to be booked. And from what they told me they won't book any tables with more than 6.

Anywho Shane was able to work ONE day for another shop on Monday and then 2 hours yesterday but then came right back home . We STILL have not seen or heard anything about unemployment so I am getting kind of stressed. We haven't gotten any money in in 3 weeks and I have put out about 2000 on bills and Katy's birthday and now THIS week Shane's truck payment is due and we DESPERATELY need to go to the store. I sure hope something comes through soon!

Kelly, unemployment has a good website with all the answers. If it has been three weeks since he first applied, he should be getting something. But maybe because he's had some work, it has been pushed back. Check the site and see if there is info there.

My 3 lb toy fox terrier came running so excited to see me and on his little body was one of my post its. .

Courtney, I hate the stomach flu too! Uggh!! But if you do happen to get it, look on the bright side..............at least you can't catch it in 50 days!

I really think 2010 will start to turn around for all of us. The main goals for us are: Chris beating his cancer, Bree graduating and getting a decent job and us finally starting to save more $$. And doing more Disney doesn't hurt, either. It keeps me sane!

Yea for 2010! Your goals are all within reach, I see them too. Does she graduate in June?

Thanks for the hard work on CO Beth, and that is truly a bummer. Should we try to get tables like we did at CC or seriously look at the BBQ? It might not be bad in the afternoon other than rain. Also, it does have the lower price point now, and you aren't forced to eat the cupcake in the cone thing.

To me, the BBQ sounds more fun because we will all be together, and hopefully sitting together. If we do CO like CC then it's just going to be another meal with small groups all split up. The same would go for CS. I'm going to go with the flow on this one though, but wanted to offer my opinion.

It is a bummer, but I cannot say I'm surprised. From the first morning I called, they were hesitant about it saying how they were trying to get away from large parties due to being burned in the past. I still think DL handles large groupings poorly. WDW does a much better job with that. But oh well, it is what it is.

I don't think doing another CC type reservation will work. We had a hard enough time booking CC. It took like 9 of us, ALL calling at exactly 60 days out, and even then we are still spread out over the span of an hour, kwim?

I have never been to the BBQ. I'd do it, but some people said they didn't like it, so I wasn't sure what to think. Plus we are taking a chance with the weather. But the price isn't bad. $19.99.
And he did say they should have no problem booking us all there, seating us together or close together at tables of 8.

I would not be attending that one due to my severe distaste for BBQ but I honestly have no problem with it if that is what the group decides...I may just have to go check out the Corn dog situtation! I know they have said they have changed, but it deffinitely calls for a taste test!

I will go with the flow, but being a vegetarian I'm not sure what I'd eat at the BBQ. I think I heard they have a vegie skewer. Has anyone thought about Rancho del Zocalo. It's counter service but has lots of seating.
