Mmm, deep fried twinkies! They have those every year at the Calgary Stampede. Pretty much anything you can think of is either deep fried, on a stick or both. Last year we tried deep fried oreos and they were delicious. Deep fried jelly beans however, not so much!

We will either leave Monday or Tuesday I don't think we will drive straight through but stop in California somewhere overnight. We will stay for the whole Diva meet and head home sometime Sunday and probably stop on the way back too.

Ok, I was thinking that sounded fun, but leaving Monday to arrive by Thursday????I can tell we don't roll the same pace, if ya know what I mean. So says the girl who's first speeding ticket was near Orville California going 92 in a 55 at 3 in the morning. Dang state troopers! Had to get from Glendale Ca to Vancouver WA in time for my sister and bff to take a final, and they had spent the night before driving to pick me up for the Thanksgiving break, so it was up to me!! We did make it on time!

Have you ladies seen this thread?
Starts out asking for tips for a 15 day trip, and everyone pretty much bluntly telling the mom to diversify and do other stuff. Eventually it comes out that she is a cancer survivor and the reason is that she doesn't know if she will make it back. Mom to twin 5 year old boys. Heartbreaking but uplifting at same time as the Mom is really positive in attitude.

They sell deep fried Oreos and Twinkies down on Fremont St. here in Vegas. I'm not really a fan. But, there is a restaurant at the Mirage called BLT and they have the best fried pickles! Mmmm.
Most things taste better on a stick. Just something about it makes it more special. lol
