For those who expressed interest in the off-site day...Linda, Mel, Chris, Katie, Pam, Theresa, (who am I missing?), what do y'all think about Sea World? :confused3
I love it there and have always wanted to "Dine with Shamu". That would be a fun thing to do. Do they even still do that?? I'm not riding that new roller coaster though!! :scared1:

Then again, maybe everyone is thinking something more laid back... hang out at the beach, shop, eat... Balboa Island is a cute place.

Well, I'm just thinking aloud here. :goodvibes I love Disney, but I'm getting excited about doing something new and different with some of the Divas! :cool1:

This is my first trip .... and boy am I getting excited! Can't wait to meet all of you! It'll be fun watching all the new meals/activities being posted. :cool1:

I'm so glad you're joining us!! :goodvibes It is fun once the plans start to really get going.
Of course, the planning come in waves, so if it dies down again, don't panic. LOL It's just the way this thread works. Towards the end though the planning really gets to be fast and furious!

Sorry, I nabbed Lisa! It's official Beth. We'll be at HOJO. Lisa doesn't want to share a bed, but that doesn't mean I can't rent out my other half:rotfl:

So you are saying she is slow??? The trip starts on Wednesday??? Meet and Greet is Thursday though right???

LOL Yes, it officially starts Wednesday, but DH will have a full blown COW if I try and stay another night, so I'll be on the first flight down on Thursday morning. Let me know if you want me to add Wednesday night to the HoJo ressie for you, if you are coming down Wednesday.

Are the HoJo gals reserving a Standard or a Deluxe 2 queen room? I don't want to end up in a different tower than the rest of the party. I booked a standard, but I will call and change it if needed. Let me know what y'all have booked. Thanks!

And WELCOME, ROSE!

I lurked on the thread last year and watched all the planning .... since I wasn't able to attend due to my WDW trip I didn't really comment .... just watched all the fun.

Also I don't think my daughter will be able to be there for all the days due to work so when I sign up for events I'll just let everyone know if it'll be one or two attending.

Lisa, from what I am seeing so far, not all but most of the bookings have been made for Bldg. 1. I think that's where a good chunk of the group will be.

Heck yeah. I'll take you to Chippendales, let you get your freak on, and then we'll go to Fremont and pig out on deep fried yumminess. :thumbsup2

I'll pass on the Chippendales. Been there, done that. Thunder Down Under too. LOL I'd LOVE to finally do Fremont though! :cool1:

Got it. Well, we are glad you decided to "unlurk" and are able to come on this next one. :)

No problem if she can't make it for everything. Everyone gets to pick and choose what meals and activities they want to sign up for once it gets closer. ::yes::

Oh, and just an FYI, I noticed we now have 13 rooms booked at Hojo!! It's going to be fun!! Start thinking of ideas for those door signs. LOL ;)

I figure I'll just do an "updated re-work" of this year's sign, since nobody saw it! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: I was teasing you. Turns out you do have a wild side. ;) lol

Fremont is fun! You never know what you'll see down there. :rolleyes1

I love seeing the door signs. Not too many last year, but hopefully with everyone being so close we'll see more...

I just checked and she said I was "Building 1, facing the highway".

I took Trish to Thunder when we went to Vegas for her 50th. The most entertaining part of the evening was actually the group at our table who were celebrating a 21st birthday. Cute gay boys. They were an absolute RIOT! The totally drunk bachleorette at the next table was pretty funny too.....

I like the convoy. Fits with the theme. Don't forget your CB radio and of course you'll all need a "handle". Some of you may have stripper names that could do double duty. (no names mentioned!)

Say wuh??? Someone has a STRIPPER NAME?????

So you are saying she is slow??? The trip starts on Wednesday??? Meet and Greet is Thursday though right???

I'm not saying she's slow - I'm saying she's planning ahead to get there on Tuesday, the day before the trip is all official like, to make the best use of the less busy parks. Smart cookie, that Kandace :thumbsup2

:sad2: Daggummit! That's what I was gonna wear. You know, as a fun surprise for everyone. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

You can always be twinsies, you know. No need to back out of your awesome plan............

I think Theresa already volunteered to do the jello wrestling. She mentioned something about Stacie and Vicki joining her. :rolleyes1 Stacie will probably win! She wins everything. LOL!!! (she won the game at the last meet and greet for those who don't know)

Stacie would definitely win - she does win everything..... but I'm sorry, Betty, your blond hair must have blocked your hearing again, but I'm fairly certain that when we discussed it, YOU had volunteered to start off the Jello wrestling, because you're the one that started it all :thumbsup2 No worries, I'll be there to help keep you on the straight and narrow, remember your plans and conversations, etc. Don't you worry yer purdy little head none. I'm helpful like that :wave2:

Yep, the trip officially starts on Wednesday this year folks! LOL Tracey, you are a bit behind. :p ;)

Tracey's got too many trips in the planning stages. Maybe it's time to buy a 2013 calendar :rolleyes1 Hee hee!!

Oh, and just an FYI, I noticed we now have 13 rooms booked at Hojo!! It's going to be fun!! Start thinking of ideas for those door signs. LOL ;)

You bring the sign, I'll bring the tape!! I'll even bring some extra duck tape, just in case we have any emergency repair type issues....... I like to be prepared, yes??

I've never been anywhere, so everything sounds good and I'll go along with the majority......

I'll pass on the Chippendales.

:scared1: :scared1: Oh, I'm feeling a little faint. What is this passing on that you're talking of????

And as my day is 3 hours behind, thanks to the WDW ADR system being down most of the morning, I am now, FINALLY, off to MegaWally (I've got my car back, HOORAY!) and HoDepot. The thrills never end around here. TTFN!

I just checked and she said I was "Building 1, facing the highway".

That's where I'll be. I thought about doing the Disney view but decided against it .... guess I just wasn't in the mood to spend the extra money .... but it really wasn't that much more. But it does mean I'll have just that much more to spend on other things. :cool1:

I think my winning days are over. Bought a 50/50 ticket at the hockey game, could have won about $10,000, but they didn't pick mine!! And there will be no jello in my ears this time!! That's just gross!!!

Are the HoJo gals reserving a Standard or a Deluxe 2 queen room? I don't want to end up in a different tower than the rest of the party. I booked a standard, but I will call and change it if needed. Let me know what y'all have booked. Thanks!

We're in building 1, facing Disney.

See, that's what I thought as well, glad you're keeping track of everything, Theresa!!

Welcome to all the new ladies, can't wait to meet y'all!!!

How do you volunteer and are they still in need of them?

I love finding twins :) Thanks!

Here's the link:

Maybe I should load up my minivan with ladies from washington and we can drive down! How fun would that be?? We could listen to Disney tunes on the way down... LOL!

Okay. I booked our hotel today... Bernice and I for sure are at the Hojos. Not sure if Alison is going, or Michelle. BUT.. IM assuming if they are, they will stay with us too. MAybe? Dunno.

Megan! I'm glad you're coming this year!
Best fry them twinkies then!

:thumbsup2

They sell deep fried Oreos and Twinkies down on Fremont St. here in Vegas. I'm not really a fan. But, there is a restaurant at the Mirage called BLT and they have the best fried pickles! Mmmm.
Most things taste better on a stick. Just something about it makes it more special. lol

I love the cheap food at Mermaids! I always get a Nathan's hotdog and deep freid Oreos. They taste like a chocolate funnel cake. So Good!

Well here goes nothing . I figure maybe it's time I introduce myself and chime in to possibly join all you wonderful ladies in the coming year!

I'm Rose , I am turning 34 in July and have been married just under 2 years to my husband - no kids just 2 furbabies that keep me occupied ! I love all things Disney and being an AP holder now and never having the chance to do a trip like this before I think it would be great fun and to connect with new people !

I live in the Bay Area of California and hope I can start reading more threads and keeping up with the goings on here. I currently work for a hotel so discounts are no problem on my side , lol. No telling what will happen with the next year but time will tell. Talk to everyone soon :) :thumbsup2

They still do Dine with Shamu. We saw people eating near the tank on Sunday. I've done Breakfast with Shamu andthe food was so-so, but it's an all you can eat buffet. Not sure what the lunch or dinner options are.

I want to ride Manta, it looks fun!

:lmao: I hear ya! The people watching is almost more fun. I especially love the older ladies. I swear this one lady must've been in her 80's. Just looked as timid, and frail as could be. But once the show started, she was getting down with her bad self! It was awesome.

Um, nope. Sorry, BAMBI (speaking of stripper names), I'm pretty sure it was you. I understand. You've been working your fingers to the bone lately, and functioning on precious little sleep. It's no wonder you got confused. Don't worry. I've got my notes....and it says right on there.... Theresa will be in the jello pit. :thumbsup2

Like churros, Dole Whips, caramel apples... Sorry, I missed breakfast. :p

My mom gave me my birthday present early! It's the Classic Hobo It's A Small World LeSportSac bag!

I love that the strap is long enough to be worn cross body.

THANKS MOM!

I can't wait to use it this weekend at Disneyland. DBF and I will be there Sunday and Monday.

Has anyone stayed at Hotel Menage? I got it for a good price. It looks nice and has good reviews plus the hot tup/pool area is open 24 hours. It's on the corner of Ball and Harbor.

If a day is planned to go to Sea World, count me in. I have never been and I would love to go.

:lmao: I love how that sounds... no jello "this time". :rotfl: Does that mean your jello wrestling days are over, Sierra? :rolleyes1

Oh, cool, good to know. It just always seemed like a neat thing to do. Probably costs an arm and a leg.

Oh, and I meant that Manta looks awesome. Yes. So much fun. Intense speed, huge drops, high banking twists and turns.... That's just...super. :rolleyes1
