I will! I have to write a 3,000 word paper on cognitive development. Blech.

Although, I don't know anything about statistics....I think I will stay where I am.

Teachers know who did their own project, who had help and who's parents did their's. The kids are with them m-f 8-3. They know what kind of work the kid is capable of.

Well, so far the teachers have all said having parents help is ok. So I help. Whether I want to or not.

She has to write her spelling words (25 of them) 4 times over, plus tell me her sight words, plus read this passage to me twice every night plus read for 20 minutes, gee am I forgetting anything here?

That's ridiculous. Too much writing. I don't even think I could write that much.

When we did Back to School night at the kids middle school and I was listening to all the things that are expected of the kids I was in shock. I mean, Noelle is only 11!! I couldn't do it. I know I couldn't. If I was in school now, I'd fail. Well, I'd ditch every day so then I'd fail. LOL

What a great pic of you two!! How sweet. I think it's great your mom is coming with us. I can't wait to meet you both.

I so agree. We did'nt have that much homework, but the projects are so useless.

Who cares if I built a lodge in 8th grade? What did it teach me, other than pretend suede fabric, wet and draped over sticks, looks kinda real but you would never get animal skins THAT big in real size.

How did I miss Michelle's idea the first time?? I think that's a great idea. I didn't order one though, so someone will have to tell me where they came from, and if it's possible to order more.

Hi all wow t-shirt time means the trip is around the corner. I am find with any shirt as long as it does not have a year on it. So I can wear it for longer than a week

Plan on wearing last years shirt for March cause it still fits both in body and in theme

I think parents should help if the child needs help. I just made the decision that I will not offer to help DD. I want her to try on her own. She is more than capable and knows that she can ask for my help, and I will give it to her if she needs. But I don't get involved. Its worked for us. I know it won't work for everyone though.

And like I said long ago, I am down for a Ladies Only Vegas Trip. Did you hear that? Sounds like Thunder? It must be Thunder from Down Under!

Just to let you all know, I got an email from Lorealle today.

So far there are 11 out of the 25 rooms booked so we still have plenty of rooms left for those who haven't booked yet.

She is pretty sure the conference room will be in use the first night we are there. She said to check back after the New Year as things sometimes change, but for now, it's not looking good for getting that.

She did say she might be able to section off a bit of the Castaway Cove area or even the Garden Pool area. So that might be one option.

She also mentioned the back room at Mimi's, but if we went that route, we'd have to eat their food. We couldn't bring in pizza and drinks obviously so I'm not crazy about that unless we have no other options.

And finally, she said signs on the doors are fine! So time to get creative!

Ok I haven't been back to Vegas since 1997 and that was my ONE and only trip and the first 5 minutes I was there I fell and ended up with stitches! Ok so I have a LITTLE problem with traveling. Went to Europe with mom and got robbed of all our money the first day, got in a car wreck, got stuck in an elevator I could go on but I won't. It's too ugly! Went to Mexico and got dysentary and ended up the whole time in the bathroom (WON'T go into detail but I am SURE you can imagine) Went to Hawaii one and only time and get strep throat and spent the entire time in bed with 105 fever. This AFTER I spent a day in the hospital with IV's and the doctor told me I MIGHT not be able to fly home and I was there on my first ever trip by myself without parents. Then my friend I went with got mad at ME for ruining HER trip. Like I PLANNED to be deathly ill. SHYEAH RIGHT!

So ANYWAY I have had a LITTLE bit of bad luck on trips BUT don't let that get you down. I don't plan on ruining the girls trip. I promise! Haven't had ANY bad luck on a disney trip (majorly knocking on wood here!)

But anyway I digress AGAIN! Sorry I do that AS IF you hadn't already noticed. DUH!!!!!!!!!

But I would LOVE to go back to Vegas so I am in but now convincing DH THAT'S another story. He let me go on this one but I know he was NOT too thrilled. He is one of those that thinks he needs to go WITH me everywhere. PUHLEEZE! But we were supposed to go to Vegas for our 5th anniversary and then he got deployed to Iraq so we had to cancel and then we were going to go for our 10th which is this comming Feb but we cancelled AGAIN cuz we were going to go in Nov of 09 instead and combine it with a trip to the grand canyon but then the economy went into the toi toi and we figured a big trip like that was out of the pic since we ALREADY had the DW trip planned and my baby's birthday trip in April so now I don't know WHEN I will ever get there. I wanted to see Celine before she left and TAHT didn't happen and I really want to see Phantom.

Dh and I LOVE phantom but sometimes I don't think I will EVER make it there.

So maybe if you guys plan a girls trip I will have to bring dh and then just ditch him one night and join you guys for an evening or something. That's a good compromise eh?

Sure! But for more then one night. Give him some cash and send him to the tables or the clubs. LOL

I want to see Phantom too! That's on my list. OH! And I'm not sure how many of you know this, but Mamma Mia is leaving the Mandalay Bay and is being replaced with the Lion King!! I can't wait to see that.

OMG, I'd be scared to travel if I were you!! Well, here's hoping the Disney trips will turn out just GREAT and will forever break the spell of bad luck.

Thanks. I mean you guys have never met me or anything and I wouldn't want to be accused of being one of Disney Inspired's stalker internet men or anything! Although with my short haircut I have been accused of such at things such as drive thru restaurants. But hey whatever. I roll with it. I'm old and I don't do the teeny bopper hair any more. I could whip out my 80's Bride of Frankenstein pics and REALLY show you what a can of hair spray can do but we won't go there!

Actually that might be fun for some of us older types to whip out the high school photos or 80's photos. Now THAT would be a riot. I have done that on my military wives website. (my dh is ex Army) and that is good for some serious tears and wet drawers! Some of those 80's do's and clothes. AHHH good times.

But I digress... Anyway thanks for the compliment and seriously mom and I aren't usually those cutsy twosies that match and all that crap. Don't know how we ended up with both wearing purple But my mom loves to drink wine and LOVES to have fun. Everything I have mentioned she said she was up for even those dang segways. But I am NOT going to fall on my face even for YOU guys! Nope not gonna do it! I draw the line! But I WILL go on TOT 50 times in a row for anyone that's up for that. LOVE that ride!

Here I go again. Talking too much. Anyway back to our regularly scheduled programming. Can you tell I'm bored? Dh just took the kids to soccer and I'm all alone.

Ok, I'm home from school and done with my exam. It was an all practical exam so that was good for me. I was the first one out of there. I had no issues really. One got me stumped, but I figured it out. So I am pretty sure I got an A.

Beth - Thanks for keeping in contact with Lorealle. I was actually thinking that it might be cool do the first night pizza party out by the pool. So if we can't have a room, thats fine. We can just go outside. Everyone bring your sweater.
