Hi all. I wish I was at the mini-meet too. Just wanted to update you all on my first surgery. It really wasn't that bad. I'm still a bit sore though. The dr took me off of work for the next 2 weeks, but a week from Monday I'm having the second surgery.

Stephanie! I'm so glad you came on. I was going to ask about you, and see how you were doing. I haven't been on for awhile, and had never found out about your tests. If you don't mind sharing again, what were the results, and what else do you have to do?

Yesterday was my bladder surgery. The test from the lumps came back benign (not sure if I spelled that correctly). The dr does want to remove one of them though in week or so. Take care

I am doubly saddened by not going to the mini-meet. One is because my AP is expired. Two is missing the scavenger hunt!! I've never done one of those, and sounds super fun!!

I am so excited I cannot believe this is happening. DH's engineering firm (here in the Northeat) offered him a fabulous position in Orange Cty and asked if we would like to relocate to that area. He is a design engineer for rail and transit. He is already there. He left May 19th. We are NOT selling our MA home. DS is getting married June 2009 so we want to be able to come back and forth. He is now in Corporate Housing in Irvine. He loves Irvine. He is working for OCTA and expanding and improving the Metrolink (I am sure you must know of the Metrolink; commuter rail lines)!!!

I have always wanted to be in Florida...away from the cold, nasty Northeast. I have had enough of it already. Last winter it snowed every day....not necessarily accummulation but would snow even if ii just amounted to flurries. I am so sick of the bitter temps and all the shoveling and the ice and the winter fog!!!! So if not WDW than bring on D I S N E Y L A N D!!! DH has stopped over a few times to DTD DL for dinner. He calls me on his cell so that I can listen to the sights and sounds of DL!!!

I see there have been no drive-by posting from any of the ladies who did the meet yesterday. What have those locals been doing all morning?? Don't they know we are all waiting impatiently for the details?

Amy--I'm sure if you asked Chris she'd give you a copy of the quest to do the next time you go to the parks. Ya never know, you might be able to answer some of the questions already.

I'm off to do more laundry. It's amazing how much clothing I have and I just have to do my own. Imagine if I had a family's worth??? EEK!

That is fantastic news. They are adding even more, so the area is really nice.

I'm so bummed. I couldn't go to the meet yesterday. I wish I could have been there. I bet they had a blast!!

Hi Everyone!
I just got home from a very, very long day at DL & DCA. Met DD & her DBF for breakfast, and then met Cheryl, Stacie & her two daughters and Callie and her daughter at the 11:15 Billy Hill show. We had the two best tables in the house, up front and center, first row. The main Billy looked into our eyes many times during his show and it was just so awesome (as usual). A big thanks to Stacie for doing the photopass thing, she brought me my discs (in a nice padded envelope with a cute flower sticky with my name on it). Next was BTMR (using a FP) and Pirates. Then we went to the Main St Railroad stop where we waited to ride the Lilybelle. Callie's DD (who was just the cutest and friendliest thing ever and another Diz nut in training) was gracious enough to invite me to join them on the ride which she received for her birthday from City Hall. I am sure Callie will provide more details later, but I was truly grateful. To top it off, we had an awesome long term CM who joined us on the park-roundtrip who provided a lot of trivia and a little gossip. After that, we parted ways as the group was ready to take a break at their hotel before coming back to do DL at night. I enjoyed several rides at DCA while waiting for DD to finish her shift and meet me for dinner at HOB. We had a really nice meal there, all seafood, but very good and then if that wasn't enough (I know, I know ) we continued to chat while eating ice cream from the Hagen Daas store next door. I left about 8:30 pm for my 1.5 hour drive home. It was a perfect day at Disney, upper 70's with a light breeze. I really enjoyed my time with the Diz girls, and their DD's.

One last thing, MJ, everyone missed you last night, we all really like spending time with you and everyone was worried. I figured you had to work or something, but just wanted you to know you were definitely missed.

I am sure the others will give a much more detailed report when they return home, but wanted to let you know what happened today from a part-timer. Beth, I am so sorry I missed you and your family! We have to hang out for sure next time!

Hey ladies!!!!

Just checking in from our hotel in Buena Park before we head off to Disneyland today!! Once we leave the hotel tomorrow I won't have internet access for awhile so I'm taking advantage of it now.

By the way, I have been MIA due to plays, graduations, 8th grade trips, and end of year pool parties. Last night was the last hoorah!!

I think this just means we need to organize another mini-meet!

I'm not saying you guys have to wait until October, certainly you can all meet up if some of you are going to be there over the summer. BUT..... I am going to be there in October with my family and I'd love to meet up again for a few hours like we did. That was perfect for me. Hanging out for awhile and then having a nice dinner.

So if anyone is up for a meet in October, I'd love to do it again. We'll be there the 14th thru the 18th. I'm not sure exactly what our plans are but I'm hoping we can make it happen on one of those days!

We missed you! I also wanted to meet you too!!

Chris did an awesome job with the quest. I got there late so I missed part of it, but what I saw was so cool. I can't believe she did all that work!! And she had great prizes for everyone. Keychains, pens, washcloths, memo pads, etc. All Disney and all fun.

Thank you again Chris for going through all that trouble and effort. And I've already warned her we might be calling upon her to make one for our ladies trip.....

I'm so bummed. I couldn't go to the meet yesterday. I wish I could have been there. I bet they had a blast!!

Hi Linda! I am sorry too! I was hoping to finally get to meet you. Sounds like you had fun though and I'm glad!

I didn't meet anyone yesterday. Not Cheryl, Stacie, Callie or Linda. They were over in DL and we were in DCA. It was hot (hotter then they said it was going to be!) and so crowded. When we went in they said everyone, even passholders, needed a hand stamp as they were thinking that DCA might reach capacity! Yuck.

I don't know if it ever did, but it was busy for sure. I forgot sunblock and am now totally burned. We are supposed to head over to DL today and I am cringing at the thought of going back in the sun. Which is why I'm still at the hotel just kind of hanging out. LOL

Anyway, the quest and the dinner went really well. At dinner was myself, Katie and her DD, Chris, January and her DD, Cheryl, the new Cheryl (bsbllmom). The food was really good! I had the Chicken Alfredo Lasagna and loved it! I would definitely eat there again.

Afterwards some of us went to watch the electrical parade and then we sort of split up. But it was fun and good to see them again.

Hi all--I was SOOO tired when I got home yesterday that I didn't even go on the computer!

As Linda and Beth have already said--we had a great time.

Katie, her daughter Adara (I think I got that right) and I were a 'team' for Chris's quest and we had a BLAST. We definitely are going to have to have Chris do this for the next meet . . . it was so much fun (and really makes you look at the parks in a way you never have before). Chris, thanks again for all the work (the poor woman was up till 2 a.m. getting everything ready!)

Dinner was very good--I had the traditional Lasagna Rustica and it was yummy! Definitely something I would do again too. It was fun to see Beth again and meet January and the "other" Cheryl (LOL!) And of course spend more time with Katie and Chris.

Sunday I met up with Callie and Stacie early in the morning--we got a lot done early and then we won Dream Fastpasses! around 9:10 on the path from Carnation gardens into the castle! Callie spotted the white vests and we all made a run for it! (Then we had to stop for coffee and muffins to recover from the excitement!) While we finished our coffee Callie and Kendall (her daughter) went to City Hall to get Kendall's birthday button and while there Callie asked about the Lily Belle and whether we could ride and they said "sure." They set us up for 1 p.m. They rode BTMRR while I waited (I'm not brave) and then we went over to try to ride Indy but it was down . . . . had not opened by noon so not sure what was wrong. We then waited for Billy Hill--we were first in line so we got the best tables as Linda indicated--because of Callie's desire to be as close to her "boyfriend" as possible (sorry BillyFan!) We grabbed some food (chicken strips, etc.) at this point because other than the coffee and muffins we hadn't eaten.

After Billy Stacie and her daughters went off to ride Roger Rabbit and Callie, Kendall and I looked around some shops in Fantasyland. Then we got in line for Pinocchio. Stacie and her girls came back right away because Roger was down too--so they jumped in line and rode Pincocchio too. Then it was around 12:20 so we decided to move back towards Main Street Station for our Lily Belle trip. On the way we stopped at the Opera House and met Maynard. What a guy! We waited around so we could take pictures with him (he had to run a show) and then we took off for the train station. We had to wait for train number 4 to come around and jumped on with a castmember who as Linda indicated was a fount of knowledge. I'll let Callie or Stacie fill you in on details. After the train ride it was around 2 p.m. and they wanted to go back to their hotel and rest so they could come back in the evening and stay late for fireworks, etc. It was time for me to go too. So we said our goodbye's and I went over to leave via DCA because I had stayed the night before at the Paradise Pier and it's easier to get back there through DCA. Well, I was bad--I stopped at Burrr-Bank Ice Cream and got a cone of chocolate chip--but only a single scoop!

I did meander up past GRR and over to the Paradise Pier area and saw "Push"--the talking trash can. He/it was very funny! I did see the guy who was his handler . . . that was interesting.

Then, alas, it was time to go and I exited through the Grand Californian and over to Paradise Pier to get my car and drive home.

So, it was a very fun "mini-meet" and I'm sorry more of you couldn't make it. But now I'm excited for the next time a group of us can get together!
