Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

My car is packed, I have a full tank of gas and I'm sitting here at work. *sigh*

If work doesn't end soon, I'm gonna fall asleep.

 What time does work end, Wendy?

You're going to have frekkin' blast this weekend! :woohoo:

Maybe if I start saving now and my daughter who is 10 months old doesn't get married until she's at least 21. Maybe.

If the prices don't double by then! :scared:

Holy Cow on those Disney Weddings. I wonder how many guests you get for that. WHOA!!!

I would LOVE a Disney wedding if I renewed my vows but good lord! That's like buying a REALLY expensive car or a major downpayment on a house. I think my parents paid like 10,000 when I got married back in 1990 and that was for EVERYTHING. Dress, Photos you name it. That is a LOT of money! And that doesn't even include everything.

Ah to dream I guess.

Anyway I am home now and I rented a few movies and just waiting for Shane to get home so we can go to sam's. Since we just have Ghost Whisperer tonight I figured we can watch some movies before and after and we are bbqing chicken. Then tomorrow he has a date with the lawn mowerer while Shelby and I go to the birthday and then like I said I hope to convince him to go to see 17 again!!

Again good luck and much fun to MA's! Have a blast!!!

I like the tie-dye T a lot and I don't like crew neck tee's at all! I like V or scoop neck but not crew's either! I'm good with all of the other suggestions and I'll need to make a Tink shirt.

I want to get married at Disney that is IF I get married again! Since we won't be having children together I am wondering if it's even really necessary? :confused3 BUT since Mr. CA and I met at WDW...I'm just thinking it would be the perfect place...:lovestruc I am a hopeless romantic and referring to him as DH instead of DBF might be nice someday! :rolleyes1

Debra - I still owe you and email...I hope the birthday party goes well tomorrow night.

I can't wear a crew neck tee. It has to be a v-neck or scoop neck for me or I feel like I am choking.

I am the same way!
My tink shirt was crew neck - big mistake.:confused3 BTW - my dd11 is now wearing my tink shirt as a sleep shirt! :lmao:

I've seen that before. I just know I'd mess it up somehow. I am so bad at that stuff.
I know.. Me too. crafts and such are not my thing... Not that I know what my thing is, im still trying to figure it out.:lmao:

Those Disney Weddings are CRAZY!! i think at WDW they have a cheaper version... for really small wedding and vow renewals and such. How fun would that be?

I'd like to try it. I saw a picture once of a Tink tie dye shirt. Hmm...have to find the picture...

Oooh, I think DH better start saving his pennies!!! I want us to do vow renewals at DL for our 20th anniversary (which is closer than I care to think about ).

Aw, that would be so cute! I could just picture all the kids in matching tees. :goodvibes

I'm no good at that kind of stuff either. I truly admire people are, but it's not not me :sad2:

I agree and you can't beat $12 for a handmade shirt.

I think $12 is a great price. If I tried to make it myself, it would be WAY more expensive and no guarantees on how it would turn out :scared1:

Oh, maybe I should look at the WDW options???

Ok so Friday started off just like any other. Then I coughed....and oh my goodness what a mistake. When I coughed I felt something pop in my side, right where all my pain had been to begin with. It pretty much just took my breath away. I was in such excruciating pain. I ended up leaving work and calling my Dr. I really thought I might have broke my rib. This has been going on for weeks now...enough is enough. I called the Dr and they said expect a call back within 4 hours to see if your Dr can see you. Nice....2.5 hours later I get a call saying they can't see me until Wednesday. By this time I'm feeling a little better. I took some advil and the cough medicine my dr had given me with vicodin in it. I was desperate it hurt so bad. It feels better...at least back to what it's felt like the past few weeks. My dr said you can pop a rib and it pops right back in place. Whatever that means, anyway that's what she thinks I did. Oh ouchie....so anyway that's my day, but I so love the Mickey Head Tye Dye shirts!

Ouch! That stinks and especially since you can't get in to the Dr for days...ummmm...she is really in pain and you can't see her until Wednesday? Crazy!:scared1:

That's Kaiser of California! :confused3

She did say the Emergency room is always available. :rolleyes1
I hate kaiser!

I looked at the thread that showed how to make the tie dye Mickey t-shirts and it looks so easy! I may have to try that myself!! If I do, I'll post my results. They probably won't be as good as on that thread, but hopefully close!!

That sounds really painful! I hope you feel better soon.

Happy Friday all!
We just got home from a funeral for the mother of a very good friend of ours. She had ALS, and has been suffering for maybe 3 years. It had gotten very bad for the whole family, in that she couldn't eat, speak, do anything for herself at all. So while I know it was very hard for them to lose their mom, I think it was a bit of a relief, too. KWIM?
So we spent the day in Tracy with a bunch of Marty's high school friends. It was great to see them, since we son't get together as much lately, but just a sad reason to do it.
And now I am 20 pages behind on this thread! I'm not sure I will have a chance to read back, so if anything important happened, please let me know.
Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friends mom. Regardless of the situation, even when you know it's for the best it's never easy. My prayers go out to you and their family.

So what's the mood like in Tracy after the Cantu incident? The story just still makes me so angry.

I'm so sorry....very sad when a parent gets to that point.

Shirts are still the topic of the day (we're looking at tie-dyed ones).

Can someone tell me what KWIM stands for.....I've seen it a few times & have yet to figure it out. :confused3
