A few months before my 25th birthday, DM and I were casually talking about how it would be fun to take advantage of all the Celebrate Everyday promotions that were going on. A few days later, we were booked!!! This was our first trip without my dad and brother so we knew it would be a totally different experience than any of our previous trips.

So here's us....

Me: turning 25 on the trip and definitely needing a vacation to destress from my job. I love everything about DisneyWorld - rides, shows, fireworks, visiting hotels, fabulous restaurants!!! My priorities for this trip were to exploit the dining plan to the fullest and ride my favorite rides as many times as possible!

DM: My mom is the one who introduced the fam to Disney and I blame her for my ridiculous obsession. She is not only obsessed with the parks though, but with Disney products in general - pretty much the whole house is decorated with Disney fun. Her favorite Disney things include pin-trading, the Magic Kingdom, and the Mouse himself.

Our trip was Sept 11-Sept 15 so I'm a little behind but I'm still working on uploading some pics so I will continue in a bit.

Itinerary sneak peak:
Day 1 - Magic Kingdom and MNSSHP
Day 2 - EPCOT
Day 3 - Animal Kingdom
Day 4 - EPCOT
Day 5 - park hopping at its best!!!

We got to Orlando after a rainy early morning flight out of Philly and got right on the Magical Express to POFQ. We had stayed at French Quarter on our last trip and loved it so we decided to go back.

It was pretty early so there was no line to check in and we were lucky enough to get into our room right away!! After some quick unpacking we were off to the MK! We were hoping for small crowds b/c of the time of year, but the pAftark was emptier than we could ever imagine! We did some favorites first - Buzz Lightyear, Philharmagic, and the Big Thunder. In the middle of that we stumbled onto front row seats for both the afternoon parade and the Celebration street party!

At 6pm it was time to head over to the Wilderness Lodge for our dinner reservations so we jumped on the ferry. The resort was absolutely beautiful and really makes you feel that you are at a mountain lodge somewhere. The lobby was stunning! We were a couple minutes early for our ADR so we headed to the Territory Lounge for some drinks. I loved the atmosphere - thought it was very classy and just stuffy enough. Suse was not overly impressed but loved her MaiTai. I had a Widmer Hefeweizen - not very common so it was awesome that they carry it.

AFter that we headed over to the Whispering Canyon where we ate way tooo much food - we shared the skillet and I've heard lots of complaints but we loved everything on it. Since we were on the dining plan we also had dessert - Suse had been dying to try the smores cheesecake and it didn't disappoint. Along with my dessert, I got a loud Happy Birthday from everyone in the restaurant which was nice. We loved our experience here for two reasons - first we were sat outside the main dining room right next to the fireplace so we could see all the festivities but we weren't right in the middle of it. Second, our server Susan was awesome!!! She played the part really well and made sure that we had a great time!

Coming up next......Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!! and hopefully pictures to accompany it!!
