Yeah--add a French accent to those eyes and ooh la la!

Hi all--

just a quick note before I head off to Hollywood Studios. I had a leisurely breakfast at the resort and then took a scooter "walk" around the entire resort. Gorgeous day here. Then I came back to do a little woek before heading out!

Hope everyone's having a great Monday!
So far so good. But not as good as you!

Oh yeah, my kids would love it too. And I like the HSM parade and the other one they used to have.....what was it called? The Block Party one? My kids got pulled out to dance with the characters in that one and had a blast.

But to me, it's not a "parade" like the ones they've had previously, and after seeing it once, I kind of doubt I'd sit for it again, where as the Christmas parade, I will happily wait over an hour for. ;)

It sucks the fireworks are shortened, and at your favorite spot!
I'll have to check out the WDW parade. It must really be bad!!
Yes it did look quite bad! Lame is the word I would say. I don't mean to bash WDW, but from the video, it looks pretty sad. :sad2:

I loved the Block Party Bash! That was one of my faves. The Pixar one is alright. My all time fave was the "Lion King" parade. I used to watch it almost everytime I went to the parks. Loved it.
I never saw that one. Too bad! The last one I remember watching before Parade of Dreams was the one with all of the pixies everywhere. What was that one called? I don't think it lasted very long either, but at least they were real floats!

Oh yes, that was a really good one. And that one stopped along the way at certain points, and the dancers/acrobats put on a good show, but it was still a real parade.

I loved it! I always felt kinda sorry for the dancers that had to wear the animal suits. They always looked like they were sweltering in them. But is was a great parade. I think thats why I like Festival of the Lion King at AK so much.

Uh huh, sure. :rolleyes1

Just kidding. ;)

Oh, I LOVE the Festival of the Lion King. Actually, I love all of Animal Kingdom. I don't know why some people don't like it. I love the way it takes me away and totally makes me feel like I am in some African village some where.

Dang, now all this talk has me really wanting to see The Lion King at Mandalay Bay!! :rotfl:

And I cannot tell you how jealous I am!! ;)
I love Sea World and San Diego. Ruben and I used to go there ALL the time when we were dating. That was "our" place. We used to talk about living in San Deigo, and working at Sea World. I wanted to be a seal trainer. One year he bought me a pin that said Sea World Seal Trainer on it. :lovestruc LOL

Sadly, we haven't been back in ages. I miss it so much.
I'm glad you had fun. :goodvibes

That is so funny! I wanted to be a marine biologist. I wanted to work at Seaworld. I was almost on MMC what you wanna be day. I wanted to be a Marine bio, but my aunt had cancer at the time and in 2 wks before my mom & I was suppose to leave, my aunt was back in the hospital where she stayed until she passed away. My mom still wanted to take me, but I thought she needed me. I was only 10 & she was my favorite aunt!! I went with her and my uncle on their first date, when I was 2.
Anyways...I wanted to be a dolphin trainer.

I love AK as well. At WDW I spend most of my time at Epcot, then AK.

And WTH is up with you changing your avatar so many times today? Identity crisis?

Me too! When does it open again?

Now as far as the show at AK, I was kind of dissapointed in it. I think what happened was that everyone on the WDW's DIS, kept going on and on about it, till my expectations were way too much. I think I was expecting a play, not an acrobatic performance. Does that make sense to you?

What are you seeing that I'm not?:confused3

Good Morning Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good day so far. :) This morning during my break, I went to Mc Donald's to get some pancakes. When I poured the syrup on it, it accidentally spilled onto my shirt and pants. :sad2: I guess you could say I put myself in a "sticky situation." :rotfl:

At least I will be able to change my clothes when I go home for lunch.

Anyways...I wanted to be a dolphin trainer.

I heart accent's!!
I would have loved to be a dolphin trainer but I can't swim, so when I was watching the sea lion show, I realized there was less swimming involved and a more shallow tank, so I opted for that. :rotfl2:

I heart accents too!

Identity crisis?
No more than usual. ;)

Me too! When does it open again?
In May. http://www.mandalaybay.com/entertainment/LionKing.aspx
Tickets are on sale now. They had a preview sale back in January for Disney visa card members, but it they are on sale for general public now.

I want to see it so bad, but I want good seats for that one. :snooty: ;)

:rotfl2: Poor Rochelle. lol At least you can go change. :thumbsup2

Hmm? I'm thinking I must be in the minority!:guilty:
Well, if it wasn't what you were expecting, I can see how that would be a bummer. I like the music and the singers are wonderful, so that's why I enjoy it.

Lovin the smilies! :thumbsup2

Does your Grandson like fish? lol

I need to check it out. But I won't be seeing it too soon, cuz I just spent the mulah on Phantom. :guilty:I know that Dave and I are coming back in October for the Barrett Jackson car auction. Maybe we can see it then. :goodvibes

Totally makes sense to me. That's how I felt about some places we ate at WDW. They were hyped up so much, there was no way it could live up to it. Everyone has their own tastes and such.

I would have loved to be a dolphin trainer but I can't swim, so when I was watching the sea lion show, I realized there was less swimming involved and a more shallow tank, so I opted for that. :rotfl2:

I agree with you on the seats. I saw it at the Pantages and had amazing seats. Not too close though. I like sitting enough row back so I don't see the mics and such. I hate that.

And yes, identity crisis.

Hmm? I'm thinking I must be in the minority.

OK guys, my Grandson is asking for some smilies. Here goes..........

:scared1::laughing::maleficen:sail::simba::tigger::mickeyjum:goofy::figment::eeyore::stitch:pooh::fish::dogdance::dog2::dog::jumping1::rainbow::jumping2::jumping3:party::charac4:

Don't worry about being in the minority. There are some things that people love, that I can't stand. Everyone has their own thing.

Thanks Grandson! Love to see smilies.

Happy Monday everyone! :goodvibes

Linda, your description of SeaWorld makes me want to go. We haven't been since Kenyon was a baby. Too bad we've already spent our Spring Break funds. Maybe this Fall would be good time for a trip to San Diego/La Jolla.

We're tossing around the idea of putting our house back on the market. Still trying to get outta this desert!

Cheryl, sounds like you're having a relaxing WDW vacation. I don't think I could ever relax there. Too much to fit in!

Stacie & Heather, I'm still trying to work it out so I can meet you tomorrow. It's kind of right in the middle of a few things I have going on with the kids, so that's why I haven't responded.

Well, I better get my kids refocused on school work. This gorgeous weather has them a bit wiggly, and I don't blame them a bit. We're heading to the zoo later this afternoon to meet with an old friend.

Hope y'all have a great day.

Hi Melody! That's cool that your grandson likes my sig :) I recently made one for Christina. You can see it on the other thread. :)

Are you going to see Phantom? That's so awesome! That was the first musical I saw and I just loved it. I remember I ran out and bought the piano music for it and learned how to play it. I've also seen Beauty & the Beast, Cats, Lion King, Chicago, Miss Saigon.... can't remember the rest. I haven't seen a play in a long time. I think the last one I saw was either Chicago or Lion King.

CD~ I love yoga!!! Its so relaxing, I am cannot believe how much you sweat from it. Have you tried Zumba?

I used to think yoga didn't do much for your body but then I saw Madonna and how flexible she is. Tell me about Zumba!

Ryan is feeling better. He just won't eat.:confused3

As long as you're getting liquids down him, that's what matters. He may feel his system needs to rest. Glad he's feeling better!

Sarah has a Sea World Pass and goes all the time.

Hi! Looking at your handle, I would love to hear about what you collect.

.
I wanted to be a seal trainer. One year he bought me a pin that said Sea World Seal Trainer on it. :lovestruc LOL

That is so darn sweet.

Oh, I LOVE the Festival of the Lion King. Actually, I love all of Animal Kingdom. I don't know why some people don't like it. I love the way it takes me away and totally makes me feel like I am in some African village some where.

We LOVED AK too! Of course we love animals, but these people who say they only spend 1/2 day in that park are beyond me. That bat exhibit, have never seen anything like it before. I love the way they do the theming so you have wonderful interpretations of Asian buildings. I was surprised to see AK was more than just Africa (and I love Africa, don't get me wrong, have been there three times). Yes, they do make you feel like you are suddenly in a foreign country.

Now, the Festival of the Lion King show -- having seen the real Lion King musical in a theater, I was disappointed by the WDW mini show. Also - at one point the music "broke" and all the performers ran off the floor. It was pretty funny. You've seen the Lion King musical, right, Beth?

That is so funny! Touching. What a sensitive daughter you were.
Yup, accents = sexy. Cheryl, I am so happy they gave you that hunk!

I got to give it to you about your homeschooling. :teacher: I have such a hard time keeping myself focused. I was supposed to be working on two assignments for one of my classes, and I got as far as putting the directions in front of me, got out a pencil to make some notes, and logged into the online class. But I have yet to do anything. I can't keep myself focused, let alone someone else. Thank goodness DD loves school and keeps herself in line. So I just have to give you kudos for doing what you do. :worship:

Enjoy the zoo!
