Capri - there is a product called Auralgan, which is a topical anesthetic meant for earaches. It is FABULOUS! My son gets terrible ear infections frequently, so I always keep some on hand. It is a bottle with a dropper - you warm up the liquid in the bottle (put it in a glass of warm water for a couple of minutes), then put a couple of drops in the sore ear. Works like a hot darnIt is an OTC med, so no prescription is needed.
I was going to suggest this. Here in the US it's a prescription though, and with our insurance, we still had to pay almost $80 for the bottle! It is fabulous though, and the bottle will last us years at this rate. When my son had a double ear infection last October, he went from screaning 3 hours straight to smiling and playing just with this stuff. I'd ask about it Capri.

I hope he feels better soon!
Good Morning everyone!
