Girls Only Disneyland Trip ~ Old thread, link to new one in first post

Once again thanks to everyone who responded!! You guys are SO awesome! That's why I loves you all! You guys are THE best!!!

Basically I did some laundry this morning and was ULTRA paranoid and had all the doors locked and was so afraid that I was going to be like someone on some tv show and turn around and have a gun in my face and someone demanding my cash. I know she knows we have that money in the house and I could just see her spouting it off to one of her druggie friends and then them forcing her to come over and "get" it!

I was SO nervous all day. We live back up off the road and I HATED being here all by myself!

So then I went and met my mom for lunch and I called ALL over to find a safe deposit box and you wouldn't BELIEVE what a nightmare THAT was and finally it was time for my doc appt. I DID find a bank that had some available but I couldn't wait so I had to go but then in my apt my doc said he thinks she may be bipolar and thinks I should get her recommended for IEP which is something through the school districts where I can get her into residential care.

That is IF she even comes back. At this point she is still gone. As far as we know she has been gone since last night. I searched her stuff and she has NO ID and everything is there but she DID where her pants from last night NOT her pj's. I called her work and they won't give her her paycheck on Friday and they are to tell me immediately if she comes in!

So we shall see!

Anyway I am still nervous about her trying to break in etc even though the money is no longer in the house SHE doesn't know that. So anyway it has been stressful to say the least.

Now tonight we have to go to a school meeting to see if they are going to close the girl's school! Cheryl I DO like your idea and I WILL tell the school that! Thanks for thinking of that.

And I HAVE notified the HS so if she shows up they will notify us as well.

Michelle I am sorry about your foot and hope you feel better soon and to anyone else I forgot thank you ((hugs)) and anything else I may have forgotten LOL.

The girls have church tonight and then we have that school meeting and then I plan to come home and crash and watch lost.

Tomorrow I just plan to catch up and we will probably be dealing with the stuff with lynn still till we find her or whatever. I know I won't be able to rest easy till I know where she is.

That's just crazy. You should not have to be afraid in your own home. I hope she is found soon.

These are the final results:

January 21-26, 2010: 11 votes (after taking Kerry's vote from April per her earlier request)

February 4-9, 2010: 3 votes

February 25 - March 2, 2010: 24 votes

March 11-16, 2010: 10 votes

April 22-27, 2010: 8 votes


Clearly, the Feb. thru March dates have the most votes, but since it didn't reach a full 50% some had suggested doing another poll with the top two highest votes, which would be Feb. 25-March 2 versus January 21-26.

So I will do whatever y'all prefer. If you want to just go with the Feb/March dates, I will. If you want a new poll between the two highest vote getters, I can do that as well.

Let's hear what y'all think.

Hi ladies.

I'm so sorry I haven't been on much lately.....I've been busy working on school stuff. Yep, this "old" lady is going back to school. Oh wait, sorry, the popular PC term that many universities seem to use is "non-traditional student". Haha, non-traditional is one way to put it.

I'm going back to get a Masters degree in Elementary Education. Then I'm gonna scare me some youngins' in the classroom! Mwahahahaha!

This is what my future students have to look forward to:

Kelly - I'll keep your family in my prayers. It's so sad to see a beautful young person like Lynn choose the wrong path in life. But as you know, sometimes no matter what a loving family does to help, that person is determined to continue down that wrong path.....and the only person that can change their path is THEM. You can only do so much, and the rest is up to them.

Good for you going back to school. Its not easy, but it will be worth it. Good luck!

I'm just stopping in for a moment quickly. I've been offline for a few days, as I injured my foot at Zoe's bday party. Well, I went in and discovered I have a hairline fracture, then I had a reaction to the pain meds they gave me. I've been a blob for a few days and am now in pain, too (since I refuse to take any more of those pills!)

Ouch. Sorry to hear about that.

I hate when they call us the "non-traditional" students...

But good luck & congrats on goin back to school!!

I agree - still won't be recommending that tour or volunteering to coordinate. I just had a last minute glimpse into that time Tracey put into this and it was WAY too much for the buy off (though I will always remember the Lilly Belle experience)!

The person who coordinated it last year had a tough time as well. She went through a lot to get it organized, and then it just didn't live up to what we expected. No reflection on her, just the tour.

And Danny is a good singer, but kind of dorky in my opinion.

Dorky can be hot.

Okay, all caught up. Congrats to the VIP group about getting your money back, that's awesome that they apologized and are going to do a refund.

I am so tired right now, I ran 2 miles after work and it's pretty warm here. Anyway just stopping in to say Hi. I hope you all had a nice day. I need to start dinner and help with homework.

Absolutley Beth! We are so glad you had time to think up this here trip! But I have to tell you, and warn anyone else thinking of going...this trip about killed me! It was way more work than going at my little one's pace. I may only be able to come for one day next year, especially if I am going to be with Debra, Jane and Kerry! Those girls are goers!

Come on you have to go. You, me, & Stacie are gonna be snuggle duggly in our KING SIZE bed!! Heck..we could even get Kerry & Jane in on the room.

I was good and had veggie laden rice with a bit of butter and chicken breast full of lemon pepper. I got to stay away from mashed taters because they give me a headache and make me itch. butter and canned milk is bad.

Yes, we did vote. And as I said, I am fine with keeping it at the Feb/March dates. However there were some in the group who felt since there were so many dates (5 choices) that we should then narrow it down to the top two vote getters.
Either dates are fine with me, so I will go with what the majority prefers.
