Pssst....hi everyone!!!

I have fallen wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy behind in the posts. I think the last time I checked you guys weren't even on page 20. :lmao:

I have really been in the dumps since we got back so I haven't really been online a whole lot. I've only made it to page 5 on my TR so I really need to get crackin on that. I haven't even made it to the day yet where I ran into some of you. :grouphug: I think I may have bored my audience or something..I don't get many comments on my TR and it's filled with pics folks!

Anyway....I think it was Littleblackraincloud that mentioned she booked the Kids suite at HOJO's for October. Did they treat your reservation the same as any other...meaning they don't charge your card until you check in? I'm considering maybe changing our current Dec reservation to the kids suite and not telling DS or DBF and having that be a nice surprise! My DS would totally LOVE that. I can't wait to see more pictures of it.

I hope you all are doing well and recovering from your trip.....I wish I could say I have but man it's been rough coming home this time :(:grouphug:

Hi Mommy with Dreams,

HoJo's won't charge my card until I check out, so you can change your ressie without anyone knowing! ;)

I'll have to check out your TR. I never think to look at them, but when I do, I always enjoy it. :thumbsup2

Wow you're quick!!! Thank you for the quick response!
And I promise I'll be adding more to my TR...I still have lots of pictures to share. :)

One more quick question....do you know if there are any discounts available for this room with an AP or a board discount? The only code I know about is the Ent and it obviously doesn't work with that.

Thanks

Note to self: Move to Washington ASAP!
I guess so!! I tried once to get on them just to see if we could, but no luck. A family of 6 with one income and we still made too much money. Yeah right. In Nevada you either have to be totally rich and rolling in dough, or so poor you are almost out on the street. If you are anywhere in between those two extremes, like we are, you are SOL baby.

OK Divas! I just booked the Kids Suite at the HoJo for October 21-25.
Sounds great. Take lots of pics of it!!

It was so cute though seeing that whole group of old folks with their irish hats and little head bands with clovers and they were all drinking their beer and making funny toasts. It was REALLY cute!
Aww, how funny. I'd have loved to see that. :goodvibes

Stacerita thank you for the names!!!! :flower3:
I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you! I was back in the hotel that morning with a sick roomie. But thanks for dropping by to visit and take the pic with the group.

I hear Beth's into kinky....
Kinky? Yes. Cribs? Not really. Although if it meant getting my own bed, I'd consider it.

I know a couple of Divas around here ChaCha, and I just took my test to try it out. I'm worried I didn't do very well. :sad2: I read everything, but they asked some HARD questions. I hope I did well enough to try it out.
Good luck!! I hope it works out for you. I haven't done it in awhile. It was so slow for me that I finally gave up.

Ok, so slightly off-topic, but after all of the excitement of the past few weeks I am finally trying to get organized for my WDW trip NEXT WEEK!! :scared1:
I'm so jealous!! I want to be going on another trip already. :yay:

Sweet Victory! I just ate some hashbrown casserole! OH, sweet food of life...
Mmmmmm, I love that stuff.

I have really been in the dumps since we got back so I haven't really been online a whole lot.
 I feel your pain. I have been feeling that way too. Just today Ruben asked me why I was so aggravated and I said I didn't know. Coming back from vacation you supposed to feel good and rested and all that. Instead I've just been annoyed that I have to go back to real life. :confused3
Hopefully that won't last much longer though...... :wizard: Oh, and I need to check out your TR! I haven't been very good about keeping up with mine either. LOL So don't feel so bad.

I know, it's come much too fast. For all of my advance planning I feel wholly unprepared!

Ok--do I or do I not get a birthday button while I'm there? Will I feel too weird walking around by myself celebrating my birthday? Will I feel like the world's biggest loser? (well, other than those people on the reality show?) :rotfl2: Then again, maybe I'll get free dessert at one of the table-service meals . . . . .

Get the button!! Its great! Everyone & I mean everyone CM's & just random people will say Happy Birthday Cheryl!! Plus they will give you yummy desserts at some places!!

Wear your button with pride. And top it off with a tiara.

YES the TIARA TOO!!!

Heather... you need some good chicken and dumplings and banannanananananananana Pudding with the soft vanilla wafers at the bottom.:goodvibes

Yummo!!!

Stacie~ Is your timeshare Worldmark/Trendwest?

Hopefully! :thumbsup2

I showed my card and am still annoyed that they didn't ask me if I wanted the Ent rate for the rest of the week. I mean, did they think a guest would only want it for one night when it was available for the whole week? :confused3
Maybe that's just something I would do. Maybe they aren't supposed to offer it unless the guest brings it up first. Who knows.
Like I said, I'll check my CC statement for a credit when it comes. If I get it, fine, if not, as Linda said, I'm not going to keep going on about it.

And Jane and I showed the ent card on check in and didn't even get it for Sunday...:confused3

Waving hi to Stacie... :wave2:

Dawn, the aps are exclusive to either DL or WDW - they do nothing for you at the other coast.

Beth, where in CA are your in-laws?

Kelly - pooh on lab B's!

Deb - I love that quote (many pages back - I am catching up now).

Cheryl, do you have your PSs ressies for WDW - I think they call them something else? They are essential there, much more so than at DL. My fav - Coral Reef - get the earliest lunch on eyou can get - I think 11:30, and show up at 11:14. Insist on being right by the tank. If they try to give you something else, ask for one that you want. (we had to do this even though the place just opened - and they were great to us). We stayed at Beach Club - def go take a look at it. Right next to Epcot. Def get the button! You'll meet others w/ your b-day.

Heather - are the kid's beds smaller? If not, or if we can get some short Divas, this room sounds great. I think one bathroom per every 2 women is a nice ratio.

Tracey, you did everything and more. You are the best, most organized traveler ever! This was totally their mistake and I'm confident they will make up for it.

So Ladies, I was at DL and CA today, but not for fun per se. I had to pick up the new Vinylmation set that came out today. I could not find those fuzzy green bracelets you had, so good thing you got yours when you did.

The day was so opposite from our time there. It was hot and crowded though, sometimes a sea of Irish green (although I was not there on the weekend, so maybe it matched your weekend experience). Anyway, I did my own version of the 5k :)

Also met the famous chef Oscar at Carnation, the Dl employee with the most years, he came out and starts getting all chatty with me, shaking my hand, putting his arm around me, telling me stories I can barely hear. He was adorable.

Hey there!

I got the fuzzy green slap bracelets in the $1 section at Target a few weeks ago.

You gonna post pics of what you got?

Let me see if I can do it...hmmm how do I do this?

Added: I don't see a manage attachments button... maybe I'm not authorized to do photos?

btw, Diznee luver and Mommywithdreams - I wish I had met both of you, you sound like fun! I was only there the first two days.

Hey! That room by the elevator is the queen suite. Callie told me that she stayed there once, and really liked it! The suite I booked is the new kids suite. They are all in building 1 but all are HWY facing.

Did you call the HoJo about a refund by chance? I forgot to ask when I was on the phone with then today. :headache: I was too excited about the new pirate themed kids suites!

I didn't use a referrral. I didn't know that I could! Is there a way to do it now or is it too late? Let me know what you find out. I'd love to help you out.

We are coming on the 31st. OUr appointment is from 1-3:30pm though. I worry about getting to you at a decent enough time. DH would have to work on Wed. Is there somewhere easy to get to that we could meet at for an early dinner? Callie, what are you doing that day?

OK, that's all for now!

I don't know how far you are from Arizona Mills, but it's easy for me to find and on our way home. Would you want to meet somewhere around there?

Okay, I wasn't sure about the Hojo room; I thought I had seen that the pirate room was in building 2, 4th floor.

No, I haven't called, I was thinking about emailing Lorealle tomorrow and see what I can find out, especially since you and I paid with CC and Callie paid with cash.

Don't worry about the referral, I think if you don't put it in right when you sign up, they won't take it. It's something you have to get used to. It's all about picking the right categories for what you know. I don't have any of the .10 categories, and I don't have the .22 category. Whenever I would get that one, it would take me too long.

Early dinner sounds good to me. Or what about lunch before the appointment? I'm not close to AZ Mills, but it's pretty easy for me to get there. And it's closer to Callie, too.

I'm just glad you have a timeshare you like!

My mom and stepdad owned RCI and it was useless! They had their honeymoon at some JUNKY "resort" in the Bahamas and ate salads all week, and bad salads at that, b/c that was the ONLY vegetarian food there. They tried to get me into the ONE in Ireland for a lower cost "yay you're a chiropractor" trip and it had absolutely no availability (I wasn't even going at any sort of peak season) so they had to get me a B&B package with the airline. And so on. They dumped it and bought some condo timeshare in the Adirondacks that they ended up liking but RARELY rented to others... And hubby's parents had an RV timeshare type thing...only problem? MIL absolutely HATED going RV'ing! And if she didn't go then there was no one to cook, so they hadn't used it in years. When he died their dues were so high that MIL couldn't cover it before we could find a buyer, and we had to just deed it back to the timeshare place. :( :( :(

After seeing all that hassle in our families, if we were to do any, it would be DVC.

Of course we'd probably have to lie to them all and just say "oh we rented points", b/c I'm sure they would think we had absolutely lost our minds.

Stacie~ Is your timeshare Worldmark/Trendwest?

Our timeshare was Fairfield in Flagstaff, AZ, now it's owned by Wyndham. We go through RCI, which I haven't had any problems with until they changed they way their searches work. Although, it's still not been too bad. We've had it for 20 years and have stayed in Flagstaff only 2-3 times; we usually go to Southern California, but have also gone to Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, Orlando about 5 times. But it's not Points, it's Weeks, so I don't think I have a chance of getting into any DVC with it :sad1:

The one we have in Flagstaff is setup almost exactly like the Grand Cali one we saw last week. The only difference is that the whirlpool tub is not in the regular tub in the bathroom, it's in it's own room that overlooks the pine trees. It's really nice. It's a lock-off unit as well, like the Grand Cali unit, so we actually have 2 weeks every year that we use/trade.

I have to use points for mine. I have Worldmark, but there are a few other ones we can use, Fairfield, and 2 others.
We have stayed in Orlando, Chelan, Leavenworth & now we are staying in Anahiem in October.
I really want to stay at the one in Hawaii.
