Awww, Heather, that is so cute. What a sweet pic. I'm glad you had that time with your mom. It is tiring when family visits, but so worth it. :goodvibes

Hey Beth.. i think there is a group working on the mixer committee.. of course i could be wrong.:confused3

As i'm wrong alot.

I am like Beth, I need my own bed. But I have a good quality airmattress and it is really pretty comfy. I even offered to bring it to Cheryl's if she can squeeze me in!

I think the Pirate Party idea rocks! And of course, we need several kinds of rum and rum drinks. I LOVE IT!

I had a dream last night that Cheryl's house was full of us ladies! I was trying to find a sofa to sleep on and they all seemed to be taken and the bedroom was already claimed to. :rotfl2:

What's a pirate room without a pirate party?!. We should have pirate Diva princesses going arrrrggggg! on next year's lanyard tags and our t-shirts.:goodvibes

That's so cute! :goodvibes

I know of serveral rum recipes :woohoo:

So do I!!!!

Hi Molly, sorry about the whole fiasco you just went through. BUT yay for BLT!!! (great now I am a hungry girl!!)

I'll take the bacon, you can have the lettuce and tomato. ;)

I like rum...

I LOVE rum! :cloud9:

Yeah, I want to see one of them climb to the top bunk. :rotfl2:

Me too, me too!!! I want to video tape it too and post it all over the internet.

:rotfl2:
I made sure I had shaved my legs before going this year because I didn't know who I was gonna share the bed with, and if my chance they brush my leg, I didn't want them to get freaked out by my stubble. No worries though, I don't play footsies.

Same here. I didn't share a bed, but I didn't want to freak poor Melody out and have her discover why my mickname is Yetti. :rolleyes1

...off to catch up on the other pages...

LOL
Well, last time it was Cheryl, Stacie and Michelle. Two of them have gone over to the scavenger hunt planning team, so that only leaves Stacie, and I'm not sure she's willing to do it again. (Are ya Stacie?)

Even if she is, we'd still need at least two more to help out. :) Unless there were volunteers already that I somehow missed.

:rotfl2:

Linda, Donna, and sweetbaby Cristabel would be *Super Great* on the mixer party committee with La Princessa Stacierita.

Like how I volunteered my talented friends.:lmao:

Ladies I have risen from the dead and am back on the board. I was sorry not to make it to the girls trip this time around but my year had a bad case of the downers. With my dad passing, helping mom out, hubby turning 40 and day before getting laid off pushing him into a major depression...it had been ROUGH!!! I have been in a world of survival that I hope no one has to share.......

The good news is hubby found a new job, medication is helping his mindset but best of all I get to celebrate Mothers Day AND my moms 75th at DL!!!:cheer2:

We are SO in need of this trip and I am so excited I had to share with you all. I knew you would celebrate with me! It would take me a zillion days to read what all has been happening in your lives but I will try to jump aboard your current train and dive in if you will have me back. :confused3

Amy:flower3:

Welcome back!

Sorry it's been such a tough year for you. I'm happy to hear that you were able to tough it out and are now back where you belong. :goodvibes

Let's do a Hawaiian pirate pajama party with nachos and margaritas! And I've got some good ideas for Mickey pedicures!

Sounds good to me. :thumbsup2

I loved your Mickey toes!

Did I just see that Jen wants to be chair of the meet and greet? I'm sure its what I read. Just squint between the lines and she's offered to do it.

I saw it!

My Fed Ex guy is a cutie!

I have the slightest of crushes on the UPS guy that comes to my office. The alarm guy is way dreamy too. :lovestruc

Here's a picture from Wednesday with my son:

This must be before you kicked his bootay a million times, because he still looks happy. :rotfl: He sure is a cutie.

I've already bought some things for the prizes:goodvibes

You are so on top of things.

Hey Hey all!

Mom left this morning, and I'm beyond worn out. :faint: We had a nice visit, but tiring. Nathan picked up one of her sayings, and so now gets this excited face and says "goody goody goody' everytime he gets excited. It's so cute! We went and had pictures taken. That was fun. :sad2: It was like wrangling an octopus and snail into position sometimes.

33urgno.jpg

What a cute picture! It's funny when kids pick up on expressions. My grandma is Yugoslavian and she would say bad words in that language and we always picked up on them, because she said them all the time. :rolleyes1 So my sis and I would run around cussing in Yugoslavian. :rotfl:

I'm glad you had a great time with your mom and I hope she is able to join us next year! :yay:

Ok--so I SO don't want to work today.

But, clients call.

Sorry I moved over to the scavvy hunt team--I just felt like it was too hard on the ECV to maneuver with my team and didn't want to slow people down. So I thought I'd be better off on the planning team next year. I'd offer to help the meet and greet team, BUT, I also know that I tend to over-commit so for now need to say "no"

Other than that--I made a reservation today for one night in July at the Grand Cal using my incentive nights! My college roomie and her daughter will be here so it will be so mucho fun! It took three calls to make it--I actually get three nights--but wanted to use them one night at a time--and even though my guide said it was permitted, Member Services kept saying I had to use them consecutivelyall at once. It finally took an email yesterday from one of the DVC honchos to Member Services to get it done. (I'm sure Member Services shudders every time I call--I'm so high maintenance! (but hey--I only made them change my room ONCE in Florida! and I tipped housekeeping! so I can't be that bad, right?????))

What's everyone doing for Easter? I was going to cook, but my cousin suggested going out instead so we're going to the Chart House in Dana Point. I hope it's not a zoo--I hate going places on holidays like that--I'd rather cook--it's actually less stressful for me. Plus I enjoy planning the menu, etc.

If clients call, can't you turn off your phone? ;)

Don't be sorry about moving to the hunt team! It's fine. And I think it's good to give others a chance to sign up for things.

Sorry about the hassles booking your room, but sounds like it will be a nice time.

I don't know what we are doing for Easter. I mean, other than the egg hunt and baskets. I'd like to go out to eat as I hate to cook.

Miss CheryL... :snooty:You say High Maintaince like it was a bad thing???:confused3

Did anyone watch that Harper's Island show last night? It was on at 10:00.

Anyway, the show was just so-so in my opinion, but OMG I fell in love with the scenery!!!!!

I found out it's filmed at Bowen Island 12 miles NW of Vancouver and 20 minutes by ferry from Horseshoe Bay. I so want to go there now. What a pretty place. At least the parts they showed.

There was some interesting eye candy on the show too. The fisherman was pretty hot. ;)

Easter for us is my daughter and her family, my son and my parents coming to our home. DH will grill all kinds of meats and we will have easy sides. I'm planning on us spending the day out by the pool, it's still too windy for swimming.:guilty:
Normally we do a big spiral honey ham with all the trimmings but this year we said let's bbq!

Hmmm, I've never heard of Harper's Island. :confused3 What station is it on? I love me some eye candy. :3dglasses

My friend took me to the movies last night. We saw the movie where a guy needs to find a best man for his wedding. Totally don't know the name of the movie, but it was freakin hilarious! Almost made me forget what a jerk my friend is. :rotfl:

As for the things we might do on mixer night...

i would ask that we don't do the awards for {funniest this or nicest that} it can be hurtful is there are only a few awards given out and lots of girls..girls don't join this thread for exculsionary activities and somehow those kinda things always turn into that. No matter how good the intentions.:confused3

Cristabel... the addition of an optional movie night is a good idea.. that would be thing to do..we could order in chinese?

I agree
That sounds good! I love Chinese! Or we could even do Thai...YUM

Good morning everyone, Happy Friday, Happy Good Friday, Happy Late Passover, Happy whatever you are celebrating (stole that one from you know who!)
HAPPY FESTIVUS?:lmao:

Here's a picture from Wednesday with my son:

Cute! :thumbsup2

Sounds good.

Do we have any volunteers to oversee the Meet and Greet?

I'd love to help with it so count me in as one, but since I'm not local I will be limited on what I can do. But I will certainly bring things, and help buy things over the next 10 months.

So we need about 3 more to help out. Someone who has the time to devote to the planning as it gets closer, someone who will be there that night (no virtual meets, lol), and one or two who are local would be nice if possible, but not necessary I suppose.

Anyway, think it over. If interested, post here or PM me. :)

I'm totally interested. I LOVE  planning events and since I'll be at CSUF, I'll be local. I plan to choose my Spring 2010 schedule to accommodate this trip. So I'll be looking for only TTH classes that end early in the afternoon :thumbsup2:rotfl:

I'm going to my grandma's house as usual. Somehow we manage to shove 25 people into my grandma's little Lancaster house for practically every holiday. Us "kids" usually hang out in one of the bedrooms either sleeping, watching TV or playing video games. We'll send out the little ones in the backyard with the dog if it doesn't rain. I'm really hoping it doesn't or Osita will get cabin fever.

I was wondering how that movie was, Wendy! Isn't it called something like..I love you, Man?

We finally saw Pineapple Express:rotfl2: Bad, but funnY!

I'm also easy--it says so on all the bathroom walls!

Any "theme" is a-ok with me.

:lmao:

I'm not to terribly concerned about the theme for next year, though we have all of the decorations from Mardi Gras, might be nice to use them again. (At least I think Stacie still has them.)...

I don't mind using the Mardi Gras decorations again since I never saw them to begin with . But seriously, I'm down for saving money :thumbsup2.

I also like the Hawaiin and Slumber Party themes, but if we do the slumber party theme, I'll have to buy some new PJ's to wear. I usually just wear sweats and a Tee to bed.

Here's a picture from Wednesday with my son:

Your son is very handsome. BYW, did your DD ever make it to Africa?? I'm so out of the loop.

...Does anyone know what it's like Easter weekend??

Pure madness :scared1:. But as long as you don't go in expecting to do too much, you should be able to have fun.

Love the pic . Your mom really looks like she enjoys being with the grandkids.

I wouldn't mind being one of the locals who helps. I may not be as readily available as some of the other ladies because of the baby. But I'd love to help out in some way.

I'm going to my Gma's for an Easter Egg hunt (hopefully the weather gets a little better). My cousin always cooks for family get togethers so I don't have to worry about cooking.

Yeahhhhh, Cristabel volunteered for the Mixer Planning Committee!
