Beth - Hope your spring break takes a turn for the better & everyone starts feeling better soon!

Okey doke. Who can I bite first :confused3:confused3 :rotfl2:

:rotfl:

Good morning!

I finally watched Twilight yesterday. I liked it. :thumbsup2 I'm looking online right now to order the last two books. I've read the first two a while ago but after watching the movie I want to finish up the series.

I haven't seen the movie or read the books. Do you need to read the books to fill in the gaps of the movie (like Harry Potter movies)?

Thanks. Lindsey has her antibiotics, so hopefully those will kick in soon. And Noelle just says it hurts but she doesn't feel like throwing up or anything, so I don't know what it could be. She's got the heating pad on there now and is just laying down watching old seasons of 90210.

My daughter Noelle is 12 and my son Adam is 14. For you to go back to those ages after raising a 20 year old, yes, he must really be worth it! :thumbsup2 By the way, is that you in those pics in your sig? If so, you do not look like you are old enough to have a 20 year old!

I cannot wait for New Moon!! I think everyone should come on out to Vegas in November and we'll all go see the movie together and then hit the Strip for some fun afterward. :rotfl:

I hope your kids are feeling better soon so that maybe you all can enjoy some of the spring break!

DBF's kids are just reverse of yours being that his DD is 14 and his DS is 12. They are really good kids and I am very lucky that they like me and that we all get along really well. BUT it is difficult being back in the kid zone again. I've been divorced for 7 years and had sole custody of my DD. I have been basically on my own especially after my DD got her drivers license and before moving here in Sept I had a year of totally being on my own, only my laundry to do, eating if and when I wanted to, meeting friends whenever I wanted, watching what I wanted on TV, etc, etc, so being back in the 'mommy mode' has been a challenge but like I said he is worth it and I do like living in CA.

Yes that is me in my signature. Believe me I am old enough to have a 20 year old and I didn't start real young either. ;) I've gained about 15 lbs. :scared1: I eat when I am happy and stop eating when I'm depressed so I will take happy any day and try to excercise off these extra lbs.!!

I already want to watch it again.

:thumbsup2 And you'll want to watch it again and again and again!

Yes, France. But do you remember back in the day when our moms used to drink and smoke and no one thought anything about it?
Oh I know. All these things our moms and Grandmas did when raising kids are now big huge no-nos. It's a miracle anyone ever used to survive their childhood. ;) :rotfl2:

I think reading the book helps it make more sense. I found myself explaining some things to Ruben that he just didn't get since he hasn't read Twilight. Nothing major, but little things click more when you've read it.

Well, being on your own can be fun, but I'd imagine after awhile it would get lonely. It's nice you found someone special, and even nicer he seems to share your love of Disney. :thumbsup2
And living in CA is nice too. I lived there for ..... oh gosh, 27, 28 years. Basically grew up in SoCal and I really miss it. Well, I miss parts of it. LOL

Beth - where in SoCal did you grow up? Orange County? If so, I have a you tube video you would appreciate...

No, I grew up in the Mount Washington area of Los Angeles. Then after I got married we lived in Glendale for 4 years, and then Burbank for 7 years.

Katie, your baby is so cute - I just want to pinch her little cheek, and then give her a big kiss! (That's what happens when you have no babies in your life for over 20 years:sad2:, you obsess over other peoples children).
I hope we see you before the next Girls Trip in Feb.

Thank you~ But her cheeks aren't so little

. She is a very chubby baby.

I have a feeling I'm the only one who likes Jacob better than Edward !!
NOPE! Not at all. I am totally Team Jacob all the way. :yay::cool1::woohoo: I bought keychains for myself and my DD Noelle. Hers says Team Edward and mine says Team Jacob. I'm always holding mine up to her and saying, "Mine's better." :rotfl:

Edward is too moody. In the books, Jacob is just way better, always happy. I'm curious to see how they make his character ummmmm, grow up and out, lol, in the movie. The actor playing him is a bit babyish, so it will be interesting to see.

Beth would disagree with that! :rolleyes1
:thumbsup2

Now, see, I found Jacob MUCH moodier in the books than Edward. Edward wasn't as emotional to me--Jacob seemed to fly off the handle more. Edward's outbursts were more "calculated."

If it were not for the fact that my biggest fan=--Wendy-- has first dibs on Edward I'd want him for mine too (the book Edward--not the movie Edward.)

i loved anne rice's interview with the vampire.. i haven't read twillight.

Edward is nice one minute, then withdraw the next. I don't know. It's all good. You, Wendy, Debbie, and the rest of the female population can fight over Edward. :rotfl:
I've only got to share Jacob with Trudi. :rotfl2:

I know. It's that they are teenagers. I'm like.. nnnnaaahhhh.. :rotfl:
Leave it to me to be the odd one.

evnt4a74aj3h8m7n3 that is the picture of my mother who looks a lot like her mother. OMG I hope I turn out more like my handsome father, sigh. She is very thin-haired and has always been that way. I at least have Dad's hair.

I have never read the vampire books, none of them or Harry Potter as I am not into that stuff and religious views and personal taste in books. Catherine Anderson has good books and I love mysteries like the Qwilleran series with the cats.

Vicki - I just have to say you look fabulous. No matter what your age is. I hear ya on the 15 pounds. Two years ago I lost 20 for our trip to Hawaii (all those bathing suit activities and pictures, you know). Well, I gained 15 back, lost 7 and am holding steady. But I still really need to drop 15. I look at the Hawaii photos and for a middle aged woman, I looked pretty good. Anyway, it is a never ending battle, that's for sure!:)

You guys and your Twilight stories. DD has read them all, but I (like Dawn) have no interest. But it's ok, carry on.:cutie:

I like watching the UFC fights too. I like Chuck Liddell. He's going to be fighting on the 18th. :thumbsup2

I already want to watch it again.

Yeppers. We are still trying to figure what we are gonna do about that fight. DBF and I will be coming home that afternoon from Vegas, and DD has a softball game that night at 5pm. So no party for us. Hopefully the team goes for pizza where it is showing. Or we may have to tivo it.

WHAT THE FRENCH TOAST???!!! YOU HAVEN'T READ TWILIGHT YET???
You are so missing out!!

I haven't read it yet either. Or seen the movie.
