Wow, my doc never perscribes a shot. Maybe he would be afraid that I would over medicate ;)

LOL--my doc is really cool. His saying is "better living through chemicals." (he's really not a pill pusher but he has a wicked sense of humor. One time a friend and client had an appointment with him and they called me to tell me he was giving the guy a rectal exam at the time! It was hilarious. (He really wasn't.))

Good evening ladies! I am feeling much better. Am hoping for a quieter week coming up. Last week was crazy. Last Monday we started potty training my 3 yr old son. He is actually doing really well :cool1: but of course we are making numerous trips to the bathroom! Fun, oh fun! :)
Tonight my dh and older kids are watching Wrestle Mania! I just don't get it!:confused3 Why is this so popular? He told me he was going to order it on Pay per View. And then I see the price when he was ordering - $54.95! :scared1: But I kept my mouth shut. I just don't see the fun in watching people throwing each other across the mat, especially when it is all staged to begin with. OK - sorry to vent! Hope I didn't offend any WM fans out there!;)

On another note - I saw some of you were discussing therapy dogs. Have I mentioned by DS with Autism is getting a Certified Autism Service Dog in August? (This is different than a therapy dog, btw. Service dogs go through more training.) We are going through an organization in Ohio called 4 Paws for Ability. Great non-profit! His dog will be a fully certified Assistance Dog who will go to school with him as well as everywhere else! We can't wait!:woohoo: Our biggest reason initially was because the dog will be trained to track our DS. (He likes to explore on his own!) But the dog will also be his best friend! :)
Congratulations on getting the assistance dog. Seems you have a runner. Tracking will sure help as a lady on disAbilities just posted about her tracking service dog for her kid. Runners also do tethering so that if the kid runs the dog will be attached to the kid and the dog comes back.

My son just got back from a friend's - they always watch Wrestle Mania together. It's kind of fun for them, they get the pay per view, order pizza, just have a fun time (and it's not at my house, so it's all good :thumbsup2)

Thanks for the links Laurie. Our son's dog is coming from the same non-profit as the family on the CNN link!:thumbsup2 I hadn't realized she had posted about it on the disAbilitiles thread though since i haven't been over there in a week or so. My son's dog will also be trained in tethering, behavior disruption, tracking. Can't wait!:woohoo:

I don't get the Wrestling thing :confused3
My kids would love it if I let them watch it, but I am mean & I won't.

I would like nothing better than to ban it in our house. But my dh likes it too much. Apparently he watched it growing up and it brings out the kid in him?:confused3

Lucky you - didn't have to watch (or listen!)

Oh gosh! We were there at the same time--I arrived on the 26th and I was in Epcot on Sunday too! I also got a Grand Marnier slushie! Bummer--it would have been nice to see you. And I just caught the last number of one of Paul Revere's shows--was Mark Lindsay there? The lead singer didn't look like him so I figured Paul had put somebody else in his place. I can't believe Paul is 71!

I did, however, see Bobby Sherman twice--once at Disneyland.

Cheryl

If I had only found this thread a week earlier! Who knows maybe you were in line in front of us for the GM slushies!

Mark Lindsay was not there so PR must have replaced him.

I :lovestruc Bobby Sherman when I was growing up and also David Cassidy and Donny Osmond! :lovestruc You were lucky that you saw Bobby Sherman!! Very cool!

I want a Grand Marnier slushy too  That would definitely make this day :thumbsup2

Totally agree!!!:thumbsup2

I wasn't even born yet. I have no clue who these people are.
I know who Janis Joplin & some people are but I have no idea about these ones.

:faint:

Hope everyone had a great day! We had a nice relaxing day except for running for 25 min. I am doing a running program called C25K = Couch 2 5K in 9 weeks. I am on my 7th week and there is NO WAY that I will be running a 5K in 2 more weeks!!! Maybe another month or two but not 2 weeks!

I loved reading her posts and wish I had me an assistance dog to help with my neurovariantions and some physical needs especially when I am all like a pretzel.

You will be amazed by the improvements once the dog settles in. Kate and Mandy were like therapy dogs for me even though they were not trained. Kate could pick things up for me and would take things in the kitchen to Mom or vice versus except food.

I love reading about the various types of working dogs like the peanut dogs who are trained to sniff out any traces of peanuts which might kill the dog's handler. I wish they could do one for gluten but that is too hard. disAbilities has evolved from WDW to the world and has helped me.

Ladies I have the photopass number and will try to figure how to show the picture of mom later. It was at Goofy's.

Who remembers watching Batman, Gilligan's Island, Sheriff John, and Romper Room? What did you love to watch as a kid or teen on television?

Calvin did the dishes, the kitchen floor, watered plants, and is such a blessing. He is my Prince Charming that is a troll on the outside and a sweet gentle giant on the inside. :cloud9: I pay him for things to do as he needs money but he would do those things for free if I ask him.:hug::hug:

Hugs and chocolates
See you all later as it if feeding time
Laurie

Beth~ Could you go stalking the strip for Kenny Chesney for me please???
Sure! If I see him, I'll tell him Princess says hello. ;)

Oh, you need to talk to Jen! (grizbuzz) She's our resident runner/trainer. You can find her on our WISH thread. The link is on the front page.
She's good about keeping us motivated. Or at least trying to. Some of us are more stubborn then others. :rolleyes1

Have a HaPpPy Monday, Everyone! Remember to take the day in little bites:goodvibes

Yes, come over to the WISH board! :yay:

How far did you get in 25 minutes? If you're running for 25 minutes, then 5k is not that far away! And once you get to 5k, well the 1/2 marathon is a perfect next goal!

Also, sign up for the 5k or 1/2 marathon at Disneyland for Labor Day weekend! :woohoo:

Morning everyone :sunny: I'm off to Legoland to celebrate my nephews' birthdays. I'll catch you all later. :flower:

That sounds great, but then could you do a Kennynapping & send him to me??? :rolleyes1
Oh sure, now you tell me. I just told him you said hi. :confused3

Okey doke. Who can I bite first :confused3:confused3 :rotfl2:

Hi! I'll meet you on the WISH board! :thumbsup2
LOL See she found you. She's good at that sort of thing. When you are over there, just watch out for Vin Disney though. :rolleyes1 He's scary! :scared1:

So it's Day 1 of Spring Break around here and it's not off to a good start.

Lindsey is still sick.
Noelle is now complaining of a stomach ache.
Adam has been holed up in his room since 5 a.m. chatting on Xbox Live with some friends, and playing games.
And Hannah is bored, bored, bored.

I desperately wanted to sleep in, but instead woke up at my usual 6:20 time, decided to take a shower and start the laundry. Why? Heck if I know. :headache:

Something tells me it's going to be a long week......... :rolleyes1

I hope everyone else is having a good Monday morning! :goodvibes

Good morning!

I only like it when Edward bites me. :lovestruc

I finally watched Twilight yesterday. I liked it. :thumbsup2 I'm looking online right now to order the last two books. I've read the first two a while ago but after watching the movie I want to finish up the series.
