And guess what.........they just raised the California retail tax one percent. So now we pay 9 % as of tomorrow!!!

Ugh! Taxes, taxes, everywhere!

Well I just got a call from my Son, who just announced that I'm to be a Grandma again!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I left a message to see if they could add the BLT points into my paperwork since it hasn't been processed and apply the incentives under what I got (which would be a larger gift card and more developer points) or if I would get the new incentives. We'll see...

Also wondering if better incentives will come along if I wait to add the BL points??

I hate not knowing. I'm always afraid of this when we go to make a big purchase. EX: Ford keeps changing thier incentives. While I don't want to miss something good, I don't want to get hosed by moving in on one and have a better one come along next month. Seems like it's always a gamble.

It usually is!! I have been to every concert of his for well crud..a long time.
Last year it wasn't in Seattle & it was eh..ok. But this year it is back at QWEST!!! I am so slippen excited!!

DH & I went to the Kenny Chesney concert the last time it was at Qwest. Hopefully they've fixed the sound equipment, or you are on the 2nd or lower level. If not, we ended up walking down to the esplanade by the vendors and listened to the concert there. Couldn't see anything, but the sound was way better. Who's opening for him?

DVC: Has anyone ever looked into the resale option (apparently there are some resells for BLT already, but not any better pricing)? My sister has OKW, so we keep going back & forth between OKW, SS, and BLT...

I have floor tickets. In 2007 I had floor tickets, in 2006 I had 2nd level tickets. I like the floor, its nice!!

Stacie does get the best ones. Of course, it's that quick wit of hers, her quips are quite quotable- HA!

And I am up for the cruise in 2011. Agreed, I don't want it to be Mexico, but if it is, like Stacie said, we can plan our own excursions and fun stuff to do. We don't need the cruise line to do it for us! Luckily, we have two years to plan.

Have we heard from Molly lately? Is she with her friend? And I want to hear about Wendy's trip to SF.

A cruise would be a lot of fun! The shore excursions that I have done have been to the winery, La Buffadora, shopping/eating, city tours and such. I haven't done one that I haven't enjoyed. Also, it depends on what type and how long the cruise is. 4-5 days, only two ports, 7 days, 3 ports. In Cabo, I took a water taxi to the other side to check out the beach there. That was nice. Just hated hopping into the water, they trying to get back into the boat. In Puerto Vallarta, I took a bus tour that went all over the city, showed us where Liz Taylor and Robert used to have their homes and the bridge between them, and took us to the location where Night of the Iguana was filmed. There really is a lot to do both on and off the ship, if you are up for it.

Better watch it. She just might put you in time out instead!!

Wouldn't want that now would we.

Donna... i've seen some of the most awe inspiring exhibits in my life at the Bowers Museum. They are based in Santa Ana.. and have a wonderful resturant onsite.
Last year they had the largest collection of Terra Cotta Warriors to ever be displayed. One year i saw Tibet.. the roof of the world... another was Mummies and at halloween.. they did a special candlelight tour of the mummy exhibit and a candlelight dinner. My husband and i went it was so kewl.. this wonderful egyptologist gave the small tour and it was so special as i've always been interested in egypt since i was 4.

This year they have a kewl thing going.. On the first Sunday of every month, visitors to the Bowers can enjoy free access to the museum, Kidseum, and all activities all day, thanks to the Target Corporation. Target Free First Sundays are very popular and to prevent overcrowding, visitors may have to wait outside for admission. The Cultural Festival begins at noon and activities will run until 4:00PM.

Even though they have these powerful exhibits..they are small and unpretentious..making this exposure to rich history and different cultures accessible to many...i Love the Bowers Museum.

I saw the Terra Cotta warriors. They were amazing. I love going to museums and such. I am such a geek like that. Thankfully, DBF doesn't mind.

I finished my chores

• picking up my 1/3 of the bedroom & making my bed
• clean the bathroom
• take down the laundry
• pick up everything off the stairs
• sweeping the stairs
• Wiping down the stairs & handrail with a wet rag
• folding & putting away two loads of laundry

So now my mom can't bug me!
