So we (my friend and I) will be going for a girls only trip in September to celebrate our birthdays. I will be turning 30 and she will be turning, something slightly more than 30 :rolleyes1 There will be no kids with us (well you can count us as kids, but bigger ones)

We are staying 4 nights/5 days, at POFQ. We'll probably get all parks in except for AK. We will be on the DDxDP.

Ok, here are our preliminary plans. Can't put most in order because Park hours haven't yet been released.

Arrival day: Dinner at Spirit of Aloha

MK day: breakfast at Crystal Palace, dinner at Narcoosees or Citricos (which is better??)

Epcot day: lunch at Chefs de France and dinner at Tutto? Or is there a better restaurant/combination I should try instead?

HS day: lunch at SciFi, dinner at ?? I was thinking another good resort TS here, as Fantasmic will likely not be showing. Probably a signature or something nice. Recommendations?

Departure day: breakfast at Chef Mickey's

of all that are listed, I've only ever eaten at Crystal Palace before. Your recommendations/suggestions would be extremely helpful! :cheer2:

Spirit of Aloha - haven't been to this in years
Narcoosees or Citricos - have not eaten at either yet
Chefs de France - Love, love, love Chefs de France, we also love Biergarten
SciFi - fun atmosphere, food ok

How about Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, we ate there last year for the first time and loved it, another one we really like is The Wave at CR

Good luck deciding and have a great trip.

Have you thought about California Grill at the Contemporary? This is my favorite restaurant anywhere in Disney. The view is spectacular and the food is amazing too.

We liked Chefs de France for lunch. Very tasty.

We also really liked Tutto Italia for dinner when we went last month. Both DH and I liked everything we had. I was actually a little surprised by this since I had read mixed reviews here.

You might also be interested in Le Cellier in Epcot. I know it's two credits but since you're on the deluxe plan, you may be in need of using an extra credit. This is another of my favorites. We didn't get to go last month and I was bummed about it.

One place you don't mention is Boma. This has been my favorite breakfast by far. But we're trying Kona on our next trip as I've heard great things and have never been there yet. Just suggestions...

Good luck and have fun!!

i would try kona for breakfast. it's a nice break from the action without characters and is soooooooo good!!

chefs de france lunch is yummmy.... i prefer san angel to tutto for dinner... but if you like italian.. then go for it.

citricos in my opinion is far superior to narcoossee's.

my other 2 favorite signatures are california grill and yachtsman.

you'll have so much fun on your girls trip!!!

I know everyone will have a different opinion, but here are my thoughts. I usually go once a year on a girls trip with no kids.

1. Citricos food is better than Narcoosees, but Narcoosees has atmosphere. You can make a ressie late enough to watch the fireworks from the restuarant. My favorite dish at Citricos is the Shrimp appetizer and at Narcoosees it is the Crab Crusted (halibut or mahi mahi whichever is in season).

2. I have always enjoyed the food at Tutto Italia. Chefs de France food is good too, but I always feel like we are crammed in a tiny space and the tabes are so close together. I really enjoy eating at the Coral Reef, but it seems I get spotty service. Every other trip we get bad service.

3. I didn't really like the food at Sci-fi. It has been one of my least favorite TS restaurants. I think the food is much better at 50's prime time. As for a signature, I recently had dinner at Artist Point for the first time and it was amazing. The food was wonderful, we had outstanding service and they had a chocolate torte desert that was amazing. I have eaten at almost all the signatures and you can't really go wrong with your choice.

4. I love the characters at Chef Mickey's, but not the food. For breakfast character meals, my favorite is Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom followed by 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian.

I hope you both have wonderful birthday celebrations.

I did a girls only trip 2 years ago and the places that I remember us really enjoying were -

the Wave - very nice adult atmosphere & good food
Cava de Tequila - in Mexico pavillion, just stop in for a margarita!
Boma

Hope that helps. Have a great trip!!

Since you are staying at POFQ, you should have access to the boat that takes you to Downtown Disney. It's really fun to take the boat there and back. I'd recommend considering Wolfgang Pucks restaurant or there's a pub there that is also great - Raglan Road. I'd also recommend the Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast. The problem now is you have too many choices:rotfl: have fun planning.

My best friend and I have had several "girls-only" trips to the world, including our 50th Bday year.
We have been to:
Arrival day: 1900 dinner/GF (really fun) and Ohana Dinner/POLY (REALLY good)
MK: CRT lunch and dinner (every girl should eat in the castle at least once)
Epcot: Chefs-de-France lunch (love the quiche combo) and LeCellier dinner (the filet is great here for lunch or dinner)
DHS: Sci-fi lunch (great atmosphere-good burgers) and 50's (great fried chicken)
We don't really care of AK so we have only eaten at Rainforest Cafe there.

Also, wear your Bday pins, sometimes you get little Bday surprises.

California Grill is a great suggestion. We ate there in October with a group of 11. Great food and beautiful view. This would be a great last night dinner!

Thanks so much for all your help. I think my open meal may come to a smackdown between Cali Grill and Flying Fish. They both sound amazing.

But Raglan Road sounds great too. Grr can I stay a week so I can eat more?
