Girls help: What to wear under a white skirt

I asked my mom, and she said underwear... Well, no duh mom!

Anywayz. I bought a very pretty white skirt this summer. I wore it once with a white thong, and noticed mid-way through the night, that my 'bum' was very visable. I went to put it on last night, with regular white underwear and nylons, and the underwear was very visible.

Is there a type of underwear or other garment to wear with this white skirt?

Try flesh-colored boy shorts if you're worried about full coverage. But definitely flesh-colored!

Don't know, don't care. I don't have any semi-transparent dresses. I don't think that would go over well in the workplace.

I don't like slips, it's another layer to get all bunchy, cause lines, etc. I avoid skirts and dresses that need slips. Seriously, I don't think I have worn one since like middle school.

I wear a slip under all my skirts and dresses unless they're lined. Sure, they still make them! I have many different colors and lengths.

I wear a slip under all my skirts and dresses. They look better. Even my 19 yo DD will wear a slip under a light colored or slinky dress.

Kohl's has a great inexpensive selection.

Wearing a nude colored thong is going to look like you are naked under the skirt. Nothing worse than walking behind someone and being able to see the crack of dawn.


A nude slip is the way to go.

I thought everybody wore slips unless they are purposely trying to show everything underneath. I guess people younger than me don't remember Princess Diana's slip incident?

#1 thongs don't expose your bum crack. I am wearing a thong and it's covering my bum crack thank you very much. G-strings will expose your bum crack.

Well then I guess those that I see walking around my store showing everything must all be wearing g strings. Either that or they all have thong wedgies?

I always wonder if these girls don't own mirrors because I would never leave the house looking like that!

I always check before going out! I have a few mirrors. In fact I think full length mirrors should be issued to everyone at birth.

I guess my white skirt is layered (had to go check it out...couldn't remember).
I haven't worn a slip since grade school. I can't imagine trying to wear one in the Phoenix heat!! It would stick to me!
Oh, and I don't own anything see through.

If the skirt you are wearing is sheer enough to see your underwear, then I'd go with a nude slip. Nude underwear or thongs wouldn't show underneath, but they won't hide anything either. White and light colored peasant skirts are really popular with young girls around here, and I hate that you can see the outline of some young girls butt and everything else underneath. It's incredibly tacky, but I bet the guys love it.
