Girl Scout swap???

If there is enough interest I would be willing to host a GS swap. There seems to be lots of leaders and GS moms on this board so what do you all say??? My DD, who just participated in the everything Disney swap and did a great job, want to join. We could keep our ideas generic so all of us could use the items.

Ideas....GS Promise and Law, cookies, girl power, badges, day camp/camping, ceremonies, thinking day.

I'm sure there are more. If you are interested post on this thread. If I get 10 more people I will post items to make and then we can all sign up.

I think I'd be interested. I have a ceremonies book that I can begin chopping up because GSUSA is redoing the book. Let me talk to my dd and see if she'd be interested too. Since we are not very computer functional at home right now, it might be Monday before I can get back on.

This sounds like a great idea...if you get to nine and have a hard time getting the tenth, let me know. I am a little afraid to commit (worried I am still too new to scrapping and won't know what to make). I would love to hear the ideas that will be shared.

I'm VERY new to scrapbooking, but if someone can explain to me the process and basics of what we're doing, I'd love to participate.

The basics of a swap are easy. Let's say we have 10 people participating. Each person makes 10 of the same thing. Let's say you make 10 of the same tags. Someone else will make 10 of the same journal boxes and so it goes. There will be a deadline and then you mail your items to me and then I will mail one of everything back to each person. I hope that is clear.

Do not worry about being new to scrapbooking. If you know what an item is (journal box, tag, square, etc...) then you can make something simple. My DD is 13 and she made tags for the Everything Else Disney swap. Granted we have a sizzix to cut the tags, but she did a cute job. They are not perfect, but mine aren't either.

Don't let inexperience interfer with not joining. Those of us who have been around, will help you out.
