Giovanni Shrimp Truck for Non-Shrimp People...

DH hates shrimp (and all things from the sea) and unlike other shrimp trucks, Giovanni's doesn't have any land lover options. I swear I remember reading somewhere that there are other trucks parked with Giovanni's that offer chicken or other non-shrimp options, but I can't find any info. Can anyone confirm this? I really want to try this place and am hoping they have an option for my super picky DH. If not, I'll just have to get my garlic shrimp to go. Thanks!!

Not sure about Giovanni's, but there are several different food trucks on the North Shore near Pupukea Beach. We had tacos from North Shore Tacos, and I'm pretty sure you could get Shrimp from one of the other trucks. I think there were 5 or 6 different trucks and lots of picnic tables to sit at.

@Mamapapa Great post! I'm allergic to shellfish so I was looking up options for when the rest of my shrimp loving family goes to Giovanni's. There is Kolbi on Fire which is Korean bbq (chicken/beef) that looks amazing! I think there are other sushi options and a corn place too. It's at the second Giovanni's (Kahuku)

When we were there a year ago they had a hotdog on the menu. It was a large dog and was very tasty

My kids got the hot dog and liked it. It was huge so they split it- cheapest meal all week! Actually they ended up loving the shrimp as well, but we were glad we didn't get it for them. Peeling theirs and ours would have been such a pain. last June, there was another food truck in the same complex that looked to have burgers and such. There was a crepe one too. The burger one was closer to the road and we didn't see it as we went in the parking lot. If we had, we probably would have gotten the kids' food there.

DH is super picky (worse then the kids) and thinks a garlic hot dog sounds gross. He's a super boring eater. Anyways, we were looking at the Giovanni's in Haleiwa based on our plans for that day. If we hit the one in Kahuku then we will try Kolbi on Fire. But if we hit the one in Haleiwa, are there any chicken options near that one? Thank you!!!

When we went these were the other food trucks in the same location:

Okina Cafe (the acai fruit bowl was awesome)
There were one or three others, which we didn't try and I don't remember what they had. I do think one had burgers and fried foods maybe?

I'm sure food trucks change, but overall rest assured that there will be plenty of options for him.

When we went last June, there were several other trucks parked in the same area. I believe we purchased from 3 of them, everyone got what they wanted. Giovanni's is so popular, I believe that they will always be surrounded by other trucks, trying to get the overflow.
